The hours on their website is wrong. On Sundays they are open at 12 but their website says 11am. So I was trying to place an order around 11:45 with no luck. Ah, Jet's Pizza -- where "ANY pizza" apparently means "not that pizza." I got a coupon in the mail for $5 off any pizza $20 or more (pickup only). Being a Detroit native and long-time Jet's lover, I figured this was the perfect excuse to grab a large pizza and salad for a guys' night hockey game. I called it in and immediately noticed the phone rep was in peak customer service mode -- rude, short, and clearly annoyed that I dared to place an order. When I arrived on June 9, I was greeted by two ladies who looked and acted like they'd rather be anywhere else. I politely showed them my coupon. One looked at it and said, "That's not for this pizza." I asked, "It says any pizza. What does 'any' mean to you?" Her reply: "That means any pizza... but not this pizza." I wish I were kidding. This location used to be my go-to, but between the unwelcoming attitude and the sauce-lottery (you have to beg for enough sauce and even then it's a gamble), I'm officially done. I'll happily drive to the Sarasota location -- better service, better attitude, and no mental gymnastics to use a basic coupon. If you like rude staff, inconsistent food, and coupons that turn into riddles -- this is your place. If not, go literally anywhere else. read more

Stripped down interior I was surprised they had napkins and cups, but the Detroit style is amazing.

Very disappointed in subs we ordered this evening. First the ingredients were very skimpy. You shouldn't have to order extra meats to get a standard portion. Then we ordered triple cheese on both. Did not get triple cheese. Got minimal cheese and the pizza sub did not have any tomato sauce on it. It was overcooked and dry. The majority of the order was bread, which was hard. I love Jets cheese deep dish pizza! Just may be the best pizza in Florida... But it's definitely the best deep dish pizza I've ever had outside of Chicago. The new location here in Lakewood Ranch is awesome, everyone is really super nice, the orders are relatively quick although I have not ever use the delivery service. Our family loves Jets pizza. When we moved from. The North we were thrilled that Jets was down here as well. So why four star versus five? Consistency. We are creatures of habit when it comes to ordering pizza. Pretty much the same thing every other week. Sometimes the cheese sticks are cheesy, sometimes it's like bread with a bit of cheese.
