All i tried to order was wilwood brake lines and high temp brake fluid. Initially, i was told these items needed to be ordered and would take a week so i simply ordered online and waited. After 2.5 weeks called for an order update and was told it would be another two weeks. Then attempted to cancel the order then miraculously was told the item could be shipped out that day!!!! Waited for tracking confirmation only to be greeted by an email saying my order would be shipped out in a week?!? Called back to finally cancel the order simply for all aggrevation theyve caused not to mention shady but then they had the nerve to attempt to charge me a 8% cancellation fee which they said they wouldnt after i complained then proceeded to sarcastically greet me "HAPPY HOLiDAYs!". So I thought I would update this so let's start by saying I buy a load of parts for my personal car and cars I work on at work and well after they had messed up before I thought I would try them one more time just to see if they did well this time I would probably use them again and positively update my review but that didn't happen. It started by ordering a set of grams injectors for my personal car and the had the order purchase "pending" so I then knew what went wrong and as I waited thinking they still can't do their job I finally get an email that read "due to a bad review in social media we no longer can do business with you" so after laughing about it I then thought how immature can you be? At my shop as I am a manager I take care of every customer personally if they have had a bad experience. I really thought highly of jhpusa with all the hype and always showing up in magazines and all, but looks can be decieving. After being excited to go and purchase from the store that I've read about and seen almost everywhere I was very disappointed to walk in a small office with 2 shelves with some steering wheels, guy at the computer seemed pissed to be there, and with attitude like hell. Bought an NRG Thin qr 2 days ago. It didn't fit the spacer on my hub (it's different from their other hubs, the back sticks out about .5" instead being flat). I brought it back for an exchange (not refund) for one that would fit. They went through 3 people to tell me they couldn't take it back. Or exchange it. These guys helped me out of a jam. Needed axles rated for 500hp in a few days and they tracked down a carrier that would meet those deadlines and the shipping costs were extremely reasonable. There's a lot of history behind JHP and there are guys like Katman who work there that are very helpful and have been influential to the whole Enthusiast Community with his track spec EG. I love the fact that when I buy something from JHP I know I am getting exactly what I want and its from a legit manufacturer. Hate to say it but there are shops who sell knock offs of brands and end up making a nice profit for a poorly manufacture replica part. I have noticed that they are pretty particular on what brands they carry and that says a lot about who they are as a company. I have purchased quite a few items from them and I have to be honest my visits have always been very different. There are times where I have walked in and I get this "what do you want" vibe. I literally stood there one time waiting to get helped without any acknowledgment. However there have been times where I have spoken to them about my build and the pros and cons of a particular part. I understand that the majority of their business is handled online, however it wouldn't kill to have a bit of a better walk in customer service is all. If you need a part chances are they have it, I have been in a situation where I needed a Type R throttle cable OEM and they had It in stock to my surprise. I will continue to shop here because of how reliable they have been and their ability to source parts. Perhaps Walk-In customer service isn't a priority but that doesn't really matter when you need a particular part at that very moment to get your car going. read more

When we browsed their website and noticed a cheaper price, my husband called and spoke with Eric - Eric was helpful and told him that he would issue out a gift card for the difference. Please stay away from this seller. Long story short, before I purchased the lip, I called the original manufactured to see if it was in stock which is Seibon but Seibon said they did not have it in stock therefore I contacted the seller JHPUSA to verify they had the correct item in stock and they confirmed they did in fact have it in stock. I purchased it right away on March 2 and received it until March 14. The package was opened until March 16 and to my surprise JHPUSA sent me the wrong item. The lip I received was not the one they had posted on their listing. I called JHPUSA to let them know they sent me the wrong item and they said I could either I could pay to ship it back or return it in person. I ended up driving to San Gabriel, CA to their headquarters. When I returned the item, the owner inspected the lip, he accused me of damaging the item when in reality I received the wrong and damaged item. As I returned the lip and asked for my full refund, the owner said he couldn't give me the refund because he had to send it back to he manufactured (SEIBON) and once SEIBON refunded JHPUSA then that's when JHPUSA would refund my money. It turns out JHPUSA never had the lip in stock at their actual warehouse, they instead purchased the lip from Seibon and shipped out to me without inspecting it first. JHPUSA also wanted to charge me their 20% restocking fee for the return when they're the ones who sent me a damaged and incorrect item. I returned the item to JHPUSA headquarters and JHPUSA did not want to refund back my money. I was forced to open a claim with eBay and was finally able to receive my refund until eBay became involved. Please stay away from this seller. JHPUSA sells items they don't even have in stock. I could of purchased this item directly from the manufacturer without having to pay the $300 markup that JHPUSA was charging me. STAY AWAY! read more

After having a terrible experience with a large performace parts company I decided to change who I buy my parts from. Jhpusa had the parts I needed and they also had a lot more of the ones I plan to get in the next few months. I emailed them and got a quick response and then I finally called and spoke to Eric who was very helpful in ordering my parts, im in Vegas and literally 3 days later fed ex dropped off my parts! Worst customer service ever. After placing my order and AFTER they had received payment, they informed me that they would be cancelling my order because I didn't have a paypal verified address, and that I could wire transfer money instead (uh, no thanks). I sent the customer service rep a screenshot proving I did in fact have a verified address, and got no response. Today I emailed again to find out what I could do to get my parts, and again no response. I have received a paypal refund, but now there's a hold placed on it because of the refund, and now the money I had set aside for parts I really needed (valve cover gasket set) is tied up, and I'm without parts. The least someone could have done is got back to me and explained things, but I got nothing in return despite multiple emails. This is NOT how you should be treating paying customers. read more

Poor business model/return policy. To start, I've made a couple part purchases from JHP for a car that's on jack stands in my garage, a true project car if you will. So with my last order I placed, a cheap subframe brace valued at $150, I realize that the part didn't line up right and was clearly defective or not the right one for my car. I made this purchase in July sometime, and I admit, I haven't had time to work on the car. My first real opportunity rolled around this past weekend to get under the car and add the parts I've been collecting. Upon realizing the part wasn't right I contact JHP via email. I requested that I return the item for a new one or one from another manufacturer as I need the part to complete my installation. I went into detail that the item wasn't fitting right. To my disappointment, JHP replied back and told me that they stick to and enforce their 30 day return policy. I understand that a business has to have these types of rules to make sure people don't abuse them by returning items after using them. However, there must be some type of exception to be made on a case by case scenario. I can't possibly be the first person who purchases parts 30 days in advance before working on a car. I mean seriously, you turn away customers over $150 part? A part that I didn't even want a credit for, rather just wanted the correct part. So now I'll take this part and throw away my money and purchase from another company who'll see all my future business. I ordered motor mounts from these guys, showed up damaged, and between JHPUSA and UPS nobody wants to take responsibility or even help me. It was May this year I placed the order. Now October, I'm being told they won't even refund me or replace the damaged part because the one of the mounts was returned damaged. Obviously, otherwise they would have gone into the car. Beware* buyers and vendors as JHPUSA sold me a product that was described to fit my setup to which did not fit. When I shipped it back for an exchange for the right part they didn't honor the original price I paid for the part I exchanged. They claim they remove the shipping cost from the original price of the item that was advertised on their site *Free Shipping*. They didn't bother to offer return shipping that came out my pocket for the wrong part they shipped me. I called and spoke with the Manager and he even agreed with me with the issue I had at hand but still didn't take care of the issue.
