I recently took my vehicle to AutoTalent to have an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system installed. Unfortunately other shops either had issues locating the exact system I wanted in a timely manner, and forget scheduling an install within a decent amount of time, etc. Sam the owner allocated one in less than a day, literally had it delivered the next day and it was installed the day after... the install was immediate and my vehicle was delivered exactly when they said it would be done and I had zero issues! I was going to give this place 5 stars based on my past experience here, but it looks like customer service just fell through the roof. In early February, I tried to purchase a Mishimoto package (~$2K) for my M3. I promptly paid and patiently waited for my package to get shipped out. It never shipped. I followed up with customer service (Jacelle and Joyce) multiple times and each time I would get the same response that it would be shipped out soon. They had initially claimed the item was on backorder by the manufacturer, but when I reached out to Mishimoto they said they could ship the items out; in fact, one of my friends received his item shortly after he ordered it from Mishimoto. Weeks passed by and my patience grew thin. Foolishly, I waited until May before I decided to request for a refund. CS told me they canceled my order and I would get refunded. But like my item, I never got it. After multiple follow-ups and even reaching out to the owner, Golan, I still had no resolution. Sadly, I resorted to filing a dispute through my credit card company. I got my refund back promptly after they reviewed my email exchanges showing how badly Autotalent messed up this simple transaction. Had they simply just been upfront and told me they could not fulfill my order and refunded me, I probably wouldn't have written this review. AutoTalent (Golan Haiem) seems to not want to assist when it comes to cancelling an order or even attempted to cancel the order. Particularly if I was able to get ahold of them and they claim they are still "waiting" for a response. When the cancelling request was made, the order was not shipped and there was plenty of time to cancel the order. Via FedEx tracking number, item was not picked up by FedEx from distribution until 3:03 PST PM on Friday further suggesting there was no attempt to cancel the order nor did VRSF receive any such cancellation request from AutoTalent. AutoTalent only provided the order number after the package was picked up by FedEx from the distribution center where it was already too late to cancel the order. Day 1 - Monday - Order placed with LHL Distribution dba AutoTalent Day 3 - Wednesday - Cancellation request email sent to AutoTalent Day 3 - Wednesday - Cancellation email request received by AutoTalent, stating 5% charge fee since order was already processed Day 3 - Wednesday - Confirmed with AutoTalent and agreed to 5% charge fee Day 3 - Wednesday Emailed VRSF, company AutoTalent is ordering products from to have directly shipped to me as they don't stock them personally Day 4 - Thursday - VRSF replied requesting VRSF Order Number and the Registered Billing Email the reseller used in order to provide assistance. Day 4 - Thursday - AutoTalent stated they are still trying to get ahold of the vendor Day 4 - Thursday - Advised AutoTalent I was able to get ahold of them and needed the VRSF order number and billing email to confirm cancellation. Day 4 - Thursday - AutoTalent decides to send over email with invoice Day 4 - Thursday - AutoTalent sends over Fedex tracking number Day 5 - Friday - VRSF requests I ask for order number again. Day 5 - Friday - 2nd email is sent to AutoTalent requesting VRSF order number Day 5 - Friday - Fedex Tracking now shows item has been picked up from shipping warehouse Day 5 - Friday - AutoTalent finally responds and provides order number for VRSF Day 5 - Friday - VRSF replies they cannot process the cancellation due to the order having already been shipped. read more

I came here to get an independent diagnosis on an issue w/. my E90 BMW 335i. Being a daily driver car, I wasn't really here for mods or serious performance upgrades. I dealt with Mike, and was a referral from a car group buddy. They were nice enough to fit me in for diagnosis and I think they did a good job identifying the main issue, pretty much the same as the other two shops I spoke to. I was not 100% sure of their repair quote though, and at the end of the day I decided to go with a "more expensive" shop, but one I knew would do the most thorough job. In regards to mods, upgrades, etc, I can see why these guys get good reviews. Lots of high end performance cars were there, and they seemed to have a good amount of work coming and going. I was pleased Mike fit me in, he was cool about not billing an entire hour for the diagnosis, and my overall impression was a good shop for the enthusiast and mod community, but for an older daily driver sedan, probably not a normal thing for them to do out of warranty maintenance, etc. When I finally pull the trigger on a sportier exhaust, I will be coming back. read more

Had to go here to have an exhaust swapped - the buyer chose the shop. When I went in, none of the 5 people even said hi. Just barely made eye contact and walked right past. Since no one would talk to me, I decided to wait and check out some cars sitting on the ground. Didn't touch anything, just used my eyeballs. NOW they can speak and yell at me rudely to get the f out of there. Finally someone pulled my car out, didn't say hi yet. Got out of the car said "keys are in the center" and walked away. I'll NEVER go back. Ever..... Justin texted my wife asking what happened. I replied to him there. I had already left a review on FB so when I went to look at that, Justin had replied - very rudely. Apparently it's my fault that I didn't know EVERYONE was on lunch at that time (why wouldn't you just close the shop for lunch? ALL DOORS WIDE OPEN.). Trust the 1-star reviews! Let me share my experience. -I have a C63s. reached out to ask about the FI Downpipes, Golan said it's in stock. Told him I made an appointment with the shop. I asked about selecting the right shipping method, he said don't worry, select this shipping method and it'll get there on time. -All paid, got the receipt. next week comes, my car is now in the shop, parts are nowhere. Car sat on the rack for 5 days total past the appt, probably cost the shop money because they're just waiting for me. Back and forth with Auto Talent, finally got a "resolution" to expedite the confirmed "in stock" Downpipe. He sent me a quote for $120 + next day air which I'm paying for. I said F*** it, no choice now, just do it. -more days passed, no response anymore from Golan the man. Parts never came, never even shipped out. Got the texts to prove it too. -long story short, the whole ordeal ended up costing me + $4000 over my budget because I had to expedite a different set of downpipes, had to take the tranny out instead which even cost more for labor, and fucked up my OEM downpipes in the process because of the new set up. -asked for a refund, 2 weeks pass and still never got a confirmation that the refund has been processed. After 15 years of ownership I finally wanted to do some engine and suspension tweaking. I messed autotalent on bimmerpost.com and that's where I met Golan. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. He presented me with a few different air intake options and I went by his recommendation. The eventuri intake shipped very fast and is a beautiful intake. Once installed it woke up my car with sound and performance. I placed another order again after I explained to Golan that I had some body roll in my suspension. He recommended that I go with sway bars and I ordered a set for the front and rear. Hands down best customer service I have ever received from any shop. I've been to a few shops, and no one has come close to the help I've received from Auto Talent. Had my bmw f82 tuned here and had a lot of issues with a previous tune on my car, and Justin helped with everything. On my fourth business day trying to get in contact with them I finally get through to someone who doesn't work for them but sends automated emails to the owner In order to get a response. Once I finally get a call back they tell me my part is out of stock and is it okay for me to wait for October 15 to ship. They should not sell parts out of stock on their website and on top of that have it on sell basically advertising it. Casual but professional service from Mike. The process was very transparent when getting my list of upgrades with quote upfront. He gave text updates whenever necessary and kept me in the loop. Justin was my main point-of-contact and he was extremely professional as well and helpful whenever he was in the shop. I had a problem with a pinched wire from the mods and brought it back in and they diagnosed and fixed the problem within the day (no charge of course). Attention potential customers: They don't care about being loyal to you as a customer. The first time I came here I was sold on a different exhaust by Golan after buying one that I wanted on eBay. I trusted him since he knew what he seemed to know what he was talking about. That was my first interaction with Golan. He ended up having some personal issues but never replied to my emails stating he had been having personal issues. My exhaust ended up not fitting on my car until Mike stepped in and helped me through the process. If you're going to deal with this shop I'd suggest you deal with anyone here other than Golan. Recently I ordered a set of wheels which they promised me a discount on because it took two months for them to finish my exhaust last time. They texted me on Friday and I forgot to text back, and then today (Tuesday) I get an aggressive series of texts from Golan essentially insinuating that I had no money and they should have charged me half down for the wheels. After a back and forth with him I eventually got tired of his attitude and told him to just refund the wheels if it meant I had to deal with him. Just to clarify, this shop did a good job on my exhaust after it was plagued with a bunch of issue, but I never once had any good interactions with Golan. If you really want to use this shop I'd recommend speaking to anyone else with an ounce of professionalism. They do not seem to care about repeat business. read more
