I purchased new tires for my vehicle at another Discount Tire location in Orange County. My experience with their staff was great! After the tire installation, they reviewed the warranty information with me and I was on my way. Two years later, we were driving on the freeway and an object bounced off of the rear tire. We thought nothing of it until the sensor warning light went off. It told us to pull over because the tire pressure was low. So, we went to a gas station and attempted to put air in the tires. All of the tires were fully inflated. However, the air pressure light would not turn off. So, my husband took my car to the Discount Tires location in Fullerton. We weren't sure if there was an air leak or if the sensor was faulty. Since we purchased these tires from Discount Tires, we were hoping that we'd have some type of warranty to reference. So, they checked all 4 tires and found that none of them were losing air. Their technician decided to recalibrate the tire pressure sensor and the warning light turned off. 3 months have gone by and the tire pressure light has not turned on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their technician explained that more than likely, whatever hit the tire, caused the sensor to react.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I haven't experienced any issues since then. I really appreciate Discount Tires for addressing the issue quickly. We did not have to pay for their diagnosis or to recalibrate the tire pressure sensor. Everything was taken care of quickly and efficiently. If I have any issues with the tires or sensor, we will not hesitate to bring the vehicle to any of their nearby locations. read more

I came here a total of 3 times. The first time should have been my red flag but I need to try out a different location. Right from the start the manager on site was trying to upsell the service even though all I came in for was Tire rotation, Tire balance, and alignment. The asked if I wanted to change front shocks and control arms. I asked why they wanted to change the shocks and they advised me that it was due to the mileage on my car. I asked if they shocks were bleeding and they said no but you should get them done for safety. Sounds like bs to me. They refused to do my alignment since the tires were new. But what's the point of paying for yearly service if they are not willing to actually do the service. The reason I don't like to other maintenance on the vehicle besides tires with this company is that they charge over 200 per hour and they don't have consistent mechanics. Also they average their work time instead of actual time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The 2nd time again they tried to upsell on shocks and control arms. This was getting annoying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The 3rd time the manager was on lunch and one of the mechanics checked me in. Which was straight to point what are here for, ok you may have a seat. Then they finished with my car and didn't say anything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A few weeks later when I washed my car I noticed weird circular scratches on all 4 rims. I took the car in and asked for the manager. The manager was not on site but the mechanic assisted me. They took my car in and started to polish the rims. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once the manager came back he asked me how he could assist me instead of apologizing. I told him I had already spoken to someone but he wanted me to reiterate which felt redundant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I explained to him the situation and he stated that there was no metal on his hardware that could potentially scratch my rims in that manner. But would be happy to polish my rims as a curtesy. He showed me to my vehicle and wanted me to point out the scratches. He then showed me the balancing machine and stated that the part that goes on the wheel is plastic and does not scratch the rims. I asked if he could compare the device to the damage. And guess what it was perfect match and of course he didn't apologize. Once they were done with polishing the rims they showed me the rims. But the rims still had visible scratches. I told him I could still see the scratch which irritated the manager. Then he start mouthing of that my rims have a lot of scratches and that it's hard to see what was actually damaged. There's a big difference from scratches done by curb which are mostly straight line compared to circular scratches that were on my rims. It's sad when when you come to company untrusting them with your vehicle. Then they don't take responsibility for their mistakes nor tell you that they damaged your vehicle. Then try to get out of their responsibility by making excuses for their mistakes. read more

I scheduled an appointment on Monday 10/28 to have tires ordered, installed and aligned on Wednesday 10/30. I show up and they don't have me on the schedule or the tires ordered. The earliest they could do it is Thursday 10/31. I begin my work week then. I needed these tires at Wednesday the latest. They said the system was down and I didn't have a slot. Huge waste of time and potentially had me ubering to work, from Fullerton to LA. No fault on the tech that checked me in. Apparently the system was down. At the minimum they should have notified me a day before that the tires wouldn't be available. Things happen. I was able to go to another shop luckily they had em in stock. read more

I ordered tires via the "Simple tires" website and my husband chose this location to install our tires because of the high number ratings. WOW, Yelp did us a dirty. First time. We rely heavily on yelp but my hubby clearly didn't see the bad reviews for this location. I called the day before to make sure my order was ready. My tires came in on Monday afternoon and figured I'll just come by in the morning. The manager Jaro said that would be great and "quick." This morning I pulled into the parking lot and I had never been to this location. I walked into the lobby and didn't see anyone in the office. It was 9:25 am. Jaro approaches me and gets behind the counter. He pulls up my order and he tells me "I should call my husband because I need a tire alignment or else my 2 wheels will run into the ground." I don't understand how in this day in age a man would ask me if I need to call my husband to make a decision on a purchase/service??? I tell him "I am buying 4 brand new tires, I'll be fine, I didn't make a mistake on my order." It's now 11 am. I'm running late but I'm happy my car is ready. Jaro hands me the keys, I tell him I want a receipt. He asks me to sign electronically and I realize he didn't check out my car?! Jaro said his computer froze, so I walked out to check the tires myself. Luckily I pulled up my original order and examined my tires to make sure they were the same "All weather tires" I paid for. The back two matched correctly to what I ordered but the front two were an entirely different brand! I was annoyed. I walked back in and told Jaro of their HUGE ERROR, trying to send me home with 2 different tires! He said he would fix it. I said "how much longer??" He said give him 20 MORE MINUTES!! I got there at 9:30 and it was now 11:40 am. I was late to work and all they could offer me was a SORRY. I can't imagine if it had been someone else if they would have caught the wrong tires?? Their only job is to check on what tires you order and if they are giving you wrong tires not sure what else they are creating errors on. I won't be back. read more

I called yesterday to ensure my tires were in stock for my appointment, and he made an order to have them delivered tomorrow morning for installation. Miguel and the technicians were very kind and considerate, and he personally showed me if there were any issues with my car. I got a new battery and a whole set of tires with the buy 2 get 2 deal as well as a wheel alignment. The entire itemized statement was explained to me, as well as my alignment details, and the 4 MLB Angels tickets given to me were a big plus. I have been going to the Discount Tires Store in Fullerton on Highland for more than 10 years. They treat everybody great and I always leave feeling like I got a great deal and the work is always performed as I hoped. I have dealt with the store manager, Robert, the last few times and he'll treat you great. Plus if you make a reservation you get in immediately. My synthetic oil change took no time at all. They offer full service for your cars at a fair price and great prices on tires. I use to do my oil changes myself, but now I always have it done here, because it's so inexpensive, it isn't worth climbing under my car and getting dirty. I give this company 5 stars. Called around town looking for a cheap set of four tires. My wife's car has 265K miles on it and we will likely be buying her new one this year.
