I accompanied one miss Lori L. to have her car serviced and we both noticed immediately how friendly the staff was, from the tech that greeted us to the cashier, to the guy that opened the car doors for us when we left. They did all the usual stuff, filled the fluids, changed the oil and checked the tires, and Lori seemed happy with the cost (less than $40). They were speedy and the environment was pleasant. Let me start off by saying that I've always been wary of Jiffy Lube's in general. That said, this location was new to me and I only happened to patron it because my preferred location did not have the oil filter needed for my 2005 Mini Cooper. This location was much busier but also cleaner and much seemingly more organized than the Montrose location. My oil change took about 30 minutes which is to be expected. Afterwards, I decided to get my haircut near Foster and Pulaski. And as I'm getting my haircut I get a text from JiffyLube. "Hey Jim This is Hector from jiffy lube, there was oil from when you drove off. Would you be able to bring it back so we can recheck the car?" I immediately went to my car and called him, he asked if my car was running (yes it was), he said please turn it off. It looks like we had a problem with an oil leak and I'm going to come to you. As it turns out he was already in route from following the oil leak trail from the Jiffy Lube to my location. The situation was that my oil filter was not installed securely; and of the 5 quarts of oil my car holds, 3 quarts leaked out in transit. When Hector got to me he replaced the lost oil, secured the oil filter and ultimately fix the problem. You might ask: Why then would you give a five star rating when mistakes were made? I guess it's because he owned the mistake admitted what happened went out of his way to solve the problem. i've been in situations with service industries professionals that avoid admitting fault for fear of repercussions. If Hector and Jiffy Lube had taken the "cut and run" position, my car would've been ruined. I was very lucky that that didn't happen. This mistake was handled with honesty and humility. Jiffy Lube (Hector) went the extra mile to fix the problem, he also offered me a free oil change; which I will accept in about 5000 miles. read more

I mean really... It's jiffy lube... It's overpriced oil changes, who usually gouge you on fluids and filters. But this one is different. Yeah the oil change was expensive, but the service was great. Held the door for me, offered to make me coffee, and even knocked some cash off what I had done. (rotated tires, as I'm clearly too lazy to do it myself) all while being amazingly polite. Can a person be impressed by a Jiffy Lube? Apparently so. I'll be coming back for sure. Edit:: Just found out they they cracked my rim in 3 places when trying to use a mallet to remove a wheel that just wouldn't budge (I had them rotate the tires...). I'm leaving this at 5 stars for now, as they immediately apologized, and are working to resolve the issue. I will update the rating accordingly depending on the outcome; but so far I'm impressed that after explaining how i found the cracked rim they immediately took responsibility, and are owning the issue. Accidents can happen; so we'll see how this turns out...... Update:: So, issue was resolved quickly. They found me a new rim, and Hector set it up so that I could just go to a local tire shop and have it swapped in. They did have me pick up the rim from Jiffy Lube, and then drive it to the tire shop; which would have been nice to have the rim there waiting; but it's only 5 minutes away. Tire guy took 10 minutes to swap the rims and get me on my way. All in all, I'm pleased. They owned the issue; never tried to pass the buck, and took care of me. It could have been a little faster; but the car was driveable as long as i topped off the air in the tire. Rating stays at 5 stars, and they've retained my future business. read more

I had my oil changed here and brought in a coupon for another jiffy lube(didnt know that coupons are only honored at particular locations, not all of them). Anyways, the manager lady was able to give me a $7 off coupon instead of $10- o.k not too bad. Then they were checking my air filters and accidentally broke a hose connector- at first I was pissed but after them carefully explaining it was old and they were going to replace it free of charge and I got a new part, I wasn't as angry. They were very apologetic and extremely polite. After my oil change she threw in 2 coupons- one for a free pizza at Dominos and 2 free tickets to the Aquarium- SCORE! I would give this place 5 stars but hesitant to because Im waiting to see if the piece they fixed is going to break or not- if it doesn't I'll come back and change my review to 5 stars- until then, I highly recommend this Jiffy Lube! read more

I saw they took out my air filter and thought, of course you want me to replace it, but ... ... his response was, "Your filters and belts look great. This place is one well oiled machine. When you get there, they greet you politely and lead you into their waiting area. The waiting area has chairs, a TV, and free coffee. After they've started working on your car, someone calls you over by name to the desk, try to sell you additional services (classic one is the cabin filter), take your coupon, and then five minutes later, you're ready to go. On the way out, one of the workers ran ahead just to hold the door open for me as I got into my car. The workers are all really polite and the process was streamlined. The one bad thing is that their prices keep rising. Yeah sure you can get a coupon on the internet, but the net cost is still going up. read more

I'm an engineer. How is that relevant? It means I like details. What were the fluid levels before you topped them off? What was the pressure in my tires before you pumped them up? What pressure did you pump them to? I thought this was standard information given during an oil change (per my experiences at Midas locations over the years), but this Jiffy Lube wouldn't answer my questions. They advertise that they take care of various regular maintenance items, but didn't communicate it to me. So, -1 star. $25.99 to rotate my tires on top of already paying for the oil change? -1 star. I've never had to pay for tire rotation. This Jiffy Lube got the job done. Yes, they cleaned my windows, vacuumed the interior, and opened my doors for me, but I wasn't overly impressed. I'd go here again if I had to, but I'm not going ga-ga for it like everyone else seems to be. Also, I went at 3:30 PM on a Tuesday and only had to wait 20 minutes before they started on my car. The whole oil change process took less than an hour, so I was happy about that. Before you go, make sure you sign up on their website for the promotional $5 off coupon. Seriously - they say that 67 percent of business that fail do so because they forget to make the customer feel important. The staff at this Jiffy Lube was so focused on making me feel comfortable and important - I almost didn't want to leave. They gave me the discount - even though I forgot the coupon. They cut me a nice break on changing a light. The place is clean and doesn't smell like oil and garbage. They are setting up an email reminder for my next oil change. They even vacuumed her out and washed her windows. I'll be back - you should get there. Wow- I can't say I've ever been impressed by an oil change before (and didn't think I ever would), but these guys are awesome. From the moment I pulled up they were friendly and seemed like they genuinely cared about my vehicle. I had to wait about 30 minutes total, but it was right after work and a few cars were ahead of me so it was understandable. The Keurig coffee in the waiting area helped, too. You get a few extras with an oil change that I haven't really seen before- they wash all of your windows for you and vacuum out your car. Pretty cool. Overall, this place rocked and I will definitely take my car back here for another oil change next time it's due. Out the door I think I paid around $33, this was with a $10 off coupon that I found online and pulled up on my phone. I wish every oil change shop would take after these guys, they're definitely doing it right. read more

It turns out the employees who work here have "sticky fingers" an like to steal things that can't be traced. This time around I was left with one nickel & a dime! At this point I'm sure they stole the umbrella I mentioned in a previous review, wither they took it to keep or trashed it doesn't matter as it was GONE. I should be amazed they didn't steal more from me. Especially the one time they wanted to "test the trunk lever" to open it without telling me in advance about it. Glad I keep that set to open via main key only, who knows what they'd of stolen had they gotten into it. Advice: Don't go here, set all your locking mechanisms to open by master key only if you can, only give others the valet key, an WATCH anyone who does work on your car like a prison guard. A fool I was to think I could trust this place. They're prolly responsible for the 2-3 times I've had to see my mechanic for the "check engine" lights in relation to loose parts. I'm a first time car owner and my vehicle was due for an oil change. This location is a bit out of my way, but the positive reviews made me come here! The employees are super friendly and explained to me what different oils do and which is best for my suv. They even vacuum your car, wash the windows and check fluids, which is included in the price. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Initially, I tried going to a nearby auto place but was told I'd have to leave my car for most of the day and pick it up later. Yes, for a simple oil change. My husband is usually in charge of getting the oil changed, so you can imagine my dismay when he told me that I had to do it myself. But Jiffy Lube made it quick and super-easy. It only took, like, 15 minutes. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman right when I pulled up. There was no line, so the guy drove my car right in while I sat inside the waiting area and watched Animal Planet. A girl then called me up and talked to me about what they recommended for my car. Of course, they try to upsell you on a bunch of stuff, but it's not a high-pressure sales situation or anything, so you can say no pretty easily. When my car was ready, a guy helped me get in, and I was on my way. I was surprised that they even threw out all of the empty plastic bottles and fast food wrappers from my back seat and vacuumed. To save time I went to my local oil change place. I was told the oil filter casing was tightened too much in my previous oil change (Jiffy Lube)-could risk cracking case and that's another cost to me. And Since oil was already drained, they had to put in oil so I could drive to JL. I Called JL and took car over...said no prob in opening up filter casing. But now what? I asked JL to finish oil change service. They covered cost -"under warrantee." But as I was checking out..... there was no mention of dirty filters. I had to ask. And YES they needed changing. There was No mention of any other items on checklist. Services marked as "completed" weren't..... vacuum, wash exterior windows..... that just makes me doubt if other things were done. Yup- lil corner sticker for next check up wasn't updated, either. I had problems once before when a cabin filter was changed and they left the glove compartment box inoperable. Never thought I would be writing a review about a Jiffy Lube. Wow! Outstanding, I mean OUTSTANDING service delivery! Everyone I encountered was top-notch. From the fellow who held my door open as I arrived and directed me inside to enjoy coffee, water, and the television/magazines to the cashier who was handling a bunch of people with the poise of a great Maitre d' to the chap who held my car door open as I was leaving. Seriously impressive! This experience was like a Ritz Carlton had taken over a garage. Polite, professional from the minute I opened the door. The entire staff was courteous and well-spoken. Comfortable surroundings with minimal wait. Not pushy in the slightest. I have been to a couple of other Jiffy Lubes before and they have been okay, nothing spectacular. There was a mistake made installing the oil filter on my car which resulted in much of the oil leaking out onto my garage floor. When I returned to the service site, the manager immediately inspected my car, determined the source of the problem, and installed a new oil filter. Later, he made an appointment to come to my home and remove the large amount of oil that had leaked onto the floor of my garage. This cleaning process took nearly an hour; he did a thorough and careful job. I understand that mistakes are made in all areas of life, but what's important to me is how they are acknowledged and rectified. I've always been nervous about chain locations for oil services but I have to admit, my experience at this Jiffy location has really changed my perspective. First of all I loved that fact that women were doing the oil changes along with other members of the crew. The young lady at the front was extremely friendly and offered me add on services but was respectful when I declined. I had no idea Jiffy Lube vacuumed your floor, wiped down windows, and put air in your tires! Talk about full service! To add the cherry on top, the woman at the front desk told me about a coupon right before I paid to help me out. I can't wait to get another oil change just to see the friendly staff.
