This was my first time to a Jiffy Lube. I chose the business on recommendation and the location due to convenience. I went on a Sunday morning for an oil change, it was actually not busy which was awesome, and the employees were very nice. The oil change does come with a bunch more services like checking fluids and vacuuming, so that was awesome. Luis helped ring me up and his team worked on my car. Plus, I mentioned the $15 off coupon for the oil change and he added it in without me showing it to him. I did get the oil that was meant for my car so the price was steep (when I only had intended to spend $50) but he did offer me other options that would go well with my car too (and would not have been as costly) that I could have chosen, which I appreciated. read more

I got an oil change at the Chula Vista, California Jiffy Lube (593 E Street) in early May as I was driving across the country. About 1,500 miles after the service, the oil light came on while I stopped in Austin, Texas. I took the car into that city's Toyota dealer thinking it may have had a more serious issue. At Toyota I was told that the Jiffy Lube in Chula Vista simply did not put enough oil in. When I spoke with Adam over the phone about this, he said it was a matter of Toyota's opinion, and that my car has a history of eating oil. I told him I never had to receive a full oil change after 1,500 miles. (Note: I haven't needed an oil change since I drove from Austin, Texas to Raleigh, North Carolina after I got the oil change at Toyota in Austin--the car has driven almost 3,000 miles since early May). He said there was nothing he could do because it was a matter of opinion. I have called and emailed Jiffy Lube's customer service since my ridiculous discussion with Adam. Each time I was told I would receive a phone call, which has not happened. Before this experience, I had gone to Jiffy Lube (not in Chula Vista) for four years. I will not be going back. read more

I been going here for years and it's usually adequate for basic repairs and service. Good place to get your basis maintenance service for your automobiles. Majority of the time they have provided good maintenance service. A couple times I noticed a few problems that required me to fix or replace a problem they caused. It was minor stuff but still could of been an issue down the road. I see it due to them rushing a basic service and just not paying attention to getting it done right. Still a good place to get basic stuff done. I notice each time I come back, they have new employees. Not sure if that's a good or bad situation. The guy running the show (balding, Buzzcocks, fat)...was rude, and cut me off a few times during a conversation where I was asking if I needed to pull up or wait in my car for an uber inspection. He pointed outside to someone who was next and he arrived after me. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and clearly can't handle it being busy. He let other people cut in front of me so I was forced to leave as I had a schedule to keep. If I could give negative stars I would but this is a 1 for this guy alone. read more

About a week after my visit to jiffy lube I found fresh oil spots where I park my car. Knowing very little about cars and fearing the worst I took it to my mechanic. After he inspected it he said it was a loose bolt from my recent oil change. I probably should have checked it as it must have been such an easy catch for him. However, I just expect a company such as this to have systems to prevent something like this from happening. Furthermore, this is the second issue I've had with the company. A different branch over filled the oil, which again, my mechanic had to fix. If you're taking your car in. Just be careful as visits to this company may result to a visits to the mechanic, which is a pain to the wallet. read more

The guys here are really fast & good at what they do. And they don't try to hustle you. They'll tell you what your car needs but won't pressure you. And if you can't get a certain job done cuz you don't have the $ at the time they will tell you what you can do to make sure your car is still good till you can come back to get it done. And the'll tell you what's the really important parts to fix & what you can do without. Real honest & polite nice workers. The customer service is good. Tho it might be a little more expensive here then other places but like they say "You get what you pay for" & it's worth coming here trust me. And most of the time the guys will work with you & get you a good deal & sometimes they got specials, just ask. Very professional over here. This would be a great go to option for your automotive service needs...if you can afford it. This place is not my normal oil change place. I may have to make this my go to spot just because I was very impressed with the customer service here. That's not to say my other oil change place isn't great but maybe I too need to switch it up now and then for the sake of the ride. Pull up. First time here. First time customer, my regular place was booked so I popped into jiffy lube on my way home. I had my co pilot with me 3 yr old pug so drive through was even better. In line 2 cars ahead and was greeted quickly. Quoted pricing with coupon ( 20 bucks off online) helped. The wait was short. No pun intended but the crew worked like a well oiled machine constant communication with eachother while they worked on my car, also checking in with me and even brought my pug some treats to keep her happy. Come to this establishment to get a uber safety checklist done because i had called before and was told it would take about 20 minutes to finish the job. when I arrived i pulled straight into a spot that was open. After 45 minutes of sitting around and multiple cars that arrived after me getting the work done and leaving somebody finally came up to me and asked what I needed done. I told him an uber check that I called about earlier and he said oh ok can you pull out and park in the handicap spot outside of the garage and I'll be out there in "2 minutes". 15 minutes later a different technician came out to do the safety inspection and told me my headlight was out and asked if I wanted to fix it. I told him I did he said ok then a different guy came out and said nobody there knew how to change the headlights of a 2014 Cadillac ATS and if I could go somewhere else get the headlight done then come back. It was an EXTREMELY unprofessional establishment that I would never go back to and I caution you to stay away from. Mike and Ariel helped me and even though we didn't do much small talk, they were able to DO THEIR JOB and have such amazing customer service. Excellent Service! Had my yearly Uber car inspection this morning it took about 15 minutes and they were very friendly and inviting. They offered delicious hot coffee while I waited. The best thing was not having to drive all the way to the Uber green hub in Miramar when I live in chula vista. I paid only $23 and saved time, money and avoided all traffic. During the oil change they came out and got me to look at the filters and make any decisions on other services that they recommended. I did not have any previous issues with my car, but the lamp came on. Went in for an oil change because I had time to kill. The worst experience. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! They tried to tell me I need things I don't need, which is annoying. So got an oil change and new filters from here. And I now need a new oil pan. They stripped the threads on the drain plug and tried to cover it up with silicon. This was never conveyed to me. I was told everything was good to go. LIES. Came home, parked my car and there was a big pool of oil on the floor of my garage. Took it to another jiffy lube, very helpful, who explained the issues with the car. The car leaked just sitting in the driveway for 10 minutes. My boyfriend called this location to explain the situation. They said that they would call but never did. Completely unprofessional. Terrible Experience!! I called into the location on E St in Chula Vista. A female answered. I asked "How much is your BASIC oil change for my make and model vehicle" and do you offer AAA discount. She quoted me the price and said NO to AAA discount. I said... Ok Im on my way. Upon my arrival she immediately knew who I was. I asked if they could offer any other discount. Same female that answered my call indicated that they have a $10 off coupon on-line which she ONLY mentioned because I asked. Take NOTE: They dont mention the FREE $10 off Coupon until you ask. She then went on to ask me if I wanted the Full Synthetic Oil Change which is NOT the basic affordable oil change that she knew I wanted. It was a sneaky tactic she used to get me to upgrade which I was not aware of at the time, until after another technician tried to up-sale me twice on other things and until after the oil change was completed and I was given the charge of close to $100 (not $52 she quoted me). To my surprise I realize she gave me the high end oil change and not the basic affordable oil change I wanted. I immediately expressed that it was NOT what I called in for and she knew what I wanted, so why play the up-sale game to trick me into getting the more expensive one. Then what happened afterwards was just ridiculous. A male who I believe was the manager instructed the female to DRAIN the oil and change it out to the basic oil. I was shocked that he would not only waste oil, but also waste my time while I sat there through another oil change. This was clearly done out of spite and to make a point. I didnt mind the other oil which is what I had originally asked for, but this was just very unprofessional to do and unnecessary after their screw up. Immediately after the 2nd oil change, they couldnt get me out fast enough. BUT not before I had to get out of my car to go inside to pay because they are so old school and dont have portable credit card machines that you can pay for while in your car as they advertise. So if you go in thinking you are going to sit in your car through the oil change, you better be paying in cash. To top it off... They have a clipboard you sign in upon arrival. This clipboard has other peoples personal information along with yours. Name, phone number, address and email. Clearly they dont care about keeping customers information safe and private. So many places to choose from for oil change, you would think they would be more professional and up to date with modern technology. I DONT recommend this location unless you want to deal with these issues. read more

After 20 mins Brian and Pat told me the system went back on , they can register and do the service , I think everything is ok now but not , after the service was done they told me cash only !!!! I pulled in and shut my car off as instructed.I then filled out the paperwork as instructed with Email,name and Mileage.I was then asked what my mileage was,I responded" it's what I wrote on the paper 55,400". The guy then says "do you know the mileage" while looking into my car at the dash.he said"can you show me the mileage so I turned the key which started the car(not on purpose) and the technician down below yelled "shut off the car now". I said to the guy leaning in my window "gotta turn it on to see the mileage" he says "no you don't,just turn the key". Again I said "it's 55,400 just write that down". I went to Jiffy Lube because the Valvoline service center was too busy,jiffy lube wasn't,now I see why.I don't appreciate being treated like a moron.I think I will wait in the long lines at the Valvoline or Castro service center next time. read more

Let me just start out by saying that I've been to this location before, about 6-7 years ago and I was not happy at all. Had my air filter replaced and turns out the technician left a piece of the old filter in so that the new one wasn't properly snug. Didn't notice it until a week later when my friend was looking at my car. Went back to the shop and the manager simply offered a discounted oil change next time. Needless to say, I've kept my distance from this place since. For my current car, I've been taking it to the dealership for all oil changes. This time I not only didn't want to pay double but I didn't want to wait an hour +. I looked up all the oil change places in the neighborhood and this one came out on top. I was super wary but decided to give it a go. From the moment I pulled my car up Pat came over to greet me with a megawatt smile. He asked what I needed to be done and then walked me inside to wait. Turns out one of the filters needed to be replaced so Pay called me over, showed me what part he was referring to and went over pricing with me, never once seeming too pushy or trying to oversell me. Joseph ( I think) also helped me out and was very friendly as well. I had a coupon for the service and unlike other places that groan whenever you pull a coupon out, Joseph maintained his demeanor and remained super friendly and helpful. Service was completed in less than 30 minutes, they vacuumed the inside and even cleaned my windows!!!! Will definitely be back here again! read more
