Went in for a synthetic oil change yesterday (12/30/2025). Walked to Wendy's next to Jiffy Lube on US 19. Service person came to Wendy's to show me estimate: $119.99. I usually go to Walmart for oil change (about $58). I say OK and he returns to Jiffy Lube. After a few minutes, I return to Jiffy Lube and the bill is now $315.96 for additional items I did not approve. Itemized bill does not show what additional charges are for. read more

More than a year passed since I was here with our previous car. This time, we brought in our new, used Tahoe cop car for a synthetic oil change. It was time and I plan to keep this ride for a good long time! If you take care of it, it will last! Jason geeeted us and was very helpful, telling me my yelp coupon is accepted and I could truly get $35 off the price. Woohoo! He guided me in, no problem, and the oil change was underway! A few short minutes later, we were done and also received a health report on the lights, battery and fluids. Good to know where I stand! Safety Diagnosis wrong on tire rotation and stripped my lug nut key in progress. Replaced air filter incorrectly and broke one of retaining clips off, I know this because replaced air filer box new last year. Oil change full synthetic $99 for 5k miles. Showed up, and with only one vehicle ahead of me, it was an hour before my vehicle was pulled into the bay. There was nobody in the Waiting area / office to ask about services and prices, nor were any posted. So I asked a fellow working in the bay area what the prices were. He said they'd talk about that after they started working on the vehicle(?). He didn't even want to know what type of oil change I wanted. Finally they pulled the vehicle in, and started working on it. I had to go to him and tell him I wanted the synthetic oil service, and asked what the price would be. He told me $109. Took car in for an oil change, tried upselling Menon everything as usual. Said brakes were in the RED zone and even wrote in RED next to the brakes on the read out. Would charge me around $600 total. Worried, I took the car to a trusted certified mechanic and said the brakes were fine...took me around the car and showed me each pad to prove the point. These Lube places seek to increase revenue with these unecessary fear-driven repairs. Don't fall for it, go to a certified shop you trust. I liked coming here for oil changes, but no more. So as usual, when you need an oil change you get an oil change. I am a very mechanically inclined person and I went to this place very vulnerable, didn't know how to open the hood, needed to get the oil changed bla bla. So they write in whatever on your windshield corner and you stay in the car while they check your lights and signals, then one of the workers approached me and said I need brakes, they are bad. Hahaha, no they weee recently changed so I said no thanks, he went on to tell me there is simple financing and they can do it there, I continued to decline. The air filter was a bit dirty, changed it up, they changed the oil and the same guy who was offering the brake job came back and said I just spoke to my manager, you can get 15% off the 1200 brake job if I agreed now. Lol no thanks. They checked for leaks, wiped the markings from my windshield and then this guy proceeded to open my passenger door and attempt to clean my window. If he had seen my pistol he may have considered other options. I told him to get out. I pulled out of the stall and the tech wanted to reset my light, he was not successful so the guy I told to get out proceeded to open the drivers door asking me to exit the car so he can reset it I again said stay out and I told them I would take care of it. Today at Jiffy Lube 117th Kendall location.They have misleading promotions at 50% discount in the internet, however once at the store the representative ask for details of car, which is a Frontier 2013 2.4 which requires approximately 4.4 liters of oil they claim it needs full synthetic per manufacturer. The cost for service was 127.00$ not including taxes nor disposal fees now its really around 150.00 and the representative told me that 50% discount does not apply. This is wrong in so many ways, and outrageously overpriced. I fully understand businesses need to make a profit but this is outright stealing. The place was empty and I see why, and rightfully so.Consumers be aware oil changes should never cost that much stay away from these crooks and shop wisely. read more

I received an oil change from a location of yours on 11/25/2020. They expressed to me that my breaks needed to be done as the pad was "dangerously low" and that the rotors needed to be replaced. Thankfully my father is a mechanic and offered to replace them for me. What we found was that the rotors are in great condition, the break pads also having well enough padding - what we did find was a completely different issue. The tread on the inside of my tire was about to give. (See the picture attached) Tell me, how was your staff able to tell me I had the issues listed above, but not able to tell me of the one with my tire? They wouldn't be able to tell Unless the removed the tire - Which leads me to believe they didn't check it at all, but rather tried to manipulate the situation to talk me into unnecessary services. You've lost my trust and respect. This is exactly what's wrong with this industry. I've always felt you guys pushed services like an old cheap car salesman, but this is a whole new level. read more

Visited the Jiffy Lube located near me for an oil change today and while I always appreciate the swift service, I was disappointed In the mishaps. I requested the JL signature oil change with full synthetic and I shared my tires we low, if they could check the tire pressure. Finished up, drove away and my car was still sending pop up notification for low tire pressure. I checked the JL website to confirm what services are offered with the signature oil change And tire pressure is def listed. This made me wonder what other services were not provided. They didn't offer to vacuum the inside of my vehicle or clean my windows. My receipt says "tire pressure complete" however they certainly didn't check this. Got brakes done two weeks ago, took 2 hours to have completed. They squeezed immediately and they said it would stop. Went back in today, have been here for 2 hours again. First time they had to go get brakes because they didn't have them and didn't mention that after hour one. This time they had to go get grease. I took my car in for brakes that were skipping. They put new rotors etc...the brakes were still skipping so I went back. Was told my engine blocks needed mounts. Had that done and was called saying I needed transmission mounts also. I declined. After the mounts I drove the car and it was shaking at stops (a new issue). I went to another mechanic and was told the bolts on the engine were missing, loose etc and I was driving in a dangerous vehicle due to this. WE took the car and showed Jiffy Lube. Never got a reply. I had spent almost $3000 with them at this point. They lied about the transmission as it is fine. They never fixed the brake skip and I paid $250 for engine mounts at another shop and they charged $1100. Lied to and cheated out of hard earned money. Makes me sad that I trusted them. SCAM ALERT. Took car in for oil change with a coupon. They told me my battery was dying and offered a new one for $150. Then, they told me I needed new brakes for over $600. I balked and was just recently at Tire Kingdom on Main...they did tire rotation and alignment. I went back to Tire Kingdom and the folks put my car on a rack, took off a tire and showed me I had more than half of my pads left. I called Jiffy Lube Corporate who contacted the franchise. Someone from Jiffy Lube on 19 contacted me and gave me a "run around" about the battery test and told me the brake pads were checked and determined that I "needed" them as a preventive maintenance. I went to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change and I showed him my coupon, then I was asked whether I wanted 1030 or high mileage oil. I said hi mileage since my car is a 2005. The guy wrote up an estimate for $83.96. I told him I had a coupon and I showed him the groupon. He said don't worry we'll fix that up at the cash register. After he does the service and we get to the cash register I still have a bill of 42.92 plus the original 20 I paid on the coupon. I said that's too much, he's said because you chose the high mileage oil you pay more. Well nobody warned me that there was a big markup on high mileage oil. Especially not $45. My car is a 2005 and I'm a senior citizen on Social Security and I really feel like this Dennis guy took advantage of me. I'd like a refund. If you want 'Red Carpet' service, you get it here....literally. When I pulled up they took my keys and opened the sitting room door for me and my husband. I was shocked at how clean the facility was. As a woman I really noticed. It smelled great when you walked in...it wasn't greasy...and all the magazines were up to date and organized. The guys let me know what was going on with my vehicle and checked things out for me without trying being pushy about extra services. They were very quick with my oil change. When it was done they held the door open for us and rolled out a red carpet for the both of us to walk on before stepping into the vacuumed car! Mind you, I have an older model vehicle that's pretty beat up from my days in outside sales...it's paid off and I work from home now, so I don't feel the need to run out and get a car payment.....the point is, they treated us with the same service as they did the patrons that had late model upscale vehicles. I love the service...I had no idea I'd get that type of service there. Since I've moved to the area I have not been partial to any one greasy oil change shop. I just received a $10 off coupon by email from Jiffy Lube since it's about time for my next oil change. I would gladly recommend this immaculate Jiffy Lube to anyone in the Clearwater area. Uh oh....What happened? I have been a loyal customer to Jiffy Lube for over thirty years to the Kennewick Clearwater facility. They have always been professional, courteous and competent. Yesterday, I went for my oil change with a vehicle that did not meet service requirements for two years because I moved away from WA to FL and keep an auto here for family visits and occasional business in the NW. In other words, 2 years passed before I needed an oil change. All was normal except for the crew acknowledged that I used standard oil for my vehicle and then they informed me I must use synthetic because the computer system would not allow them to use anything but manufacturers recommended oils-Despite the fact that there was standard oil in the vehicle already. So, I asked them to reconsider and they wouldn't. Here's the rub, I have over 40 years experience in operational maintenance with gasoline and diesel engines and systems-light weight and heavy-weight vehicles, boats and aircraft. I have never heard such an excuse before-Ever! Not to say this may be a policy change at Jiffy Lube for liability or corporate reasons. However, I intimately know my vehicles since all of them are over 10 years old and in meticulous condition-in and out. I used Jiffy Lube for environmental reasons only and now I will not ever be a customer again. Companies will never dictate to me how, why or when I will spend my funds for their services while they ignore my needs. This is not a reflection on the staff as they were professional. It's a reflection of poor systems management that is inconsistent with the customer needs or decisions. Afterall-it is my choice to spend money with you. The customer is right-Good Bye Jiffy Lube.
