They ripped the oil pan out of the bottom of my car and when they were done they only put ONE screw back in so it was literally flapping in the wind under the car! i payed $80 for my oil change. I know atlanta is expensive, but an oil change should not be that much. The people who did the service were very friendly but the service itself was very poor. My car broke down within an hour of leaving jiffy lube. I had a mechanic check the oil and he said the oil was very thin, and as he was telling me this, He looked down and found my radiotor cap sitting loose on top of the bumper! Like others have said, I should have read the reviews before going here... This place was close to my work, so I stopped for an oil change. I asked for the CHEAPEST oil change, and it still cost $50.00. The worst part is that in their haste to get the oil change done, they messed with some wires from my radio. The radio worked when I went in for the oil change, but it was all static when I left...I went back to have them look at it, and they said they wouldn't fix it, but if I went to a Jeep dealership and they fixed it and said that it was Jiffy Lube's fault then they would reimburse me for the expense. Jiffy Lube on Clairmont has been the only vendor who has ever changed the oil on my truck. After the last time I went there, oil was leaking from the oil pan plug. I had asked them at the time if they had tightened the oil plug. The employee said they had, but that was a lie. When I brought the truck back so they could tighten it, they said they couldn't because the threads on the plug were stripped. If that is so, since they were the only company to ever change the oil, they were the ones that stripped the threads. I would point out that their attitude was unconcerned that this was a serious case of incompetence, and took no action whatsoever. They offered to let me fill out a form to request redress from their corporate office. This I did. In the meantime I'm stuck with a leaky oil pan, risking engine damage. Don't ever take your vehicle to Jiffy Lube. They are sloppy, incompetent, and arrogant. read more

Only go here if you're prepared to replace your engine entirely. They replaced my oil filter, though they didn't seat the new filter in its place properly, and all the oil leaked out of my car in the weeks following the oil change. When the car finally broke down and I had it brought to my trusted mechanic, he told me the engine was bone dry, had seized, and needed to be completely replaced. Jiffy Lube was initially cooperative, but insisted the car be brought to their mechanic for repair. Perhaps not surprisingly, this proved to be a complete runaround - their mechanic told me the car started without him having to do anything. This is after 3 days of my mechanic working with it and not getting it to so much as turn over. An obvious lie. The partner mechanic also lied about how far he drove the car in his test drive. The car is back in my mechanic's hands, and he's going to document the damage to the engine so we can go back and insist JL pay for a complete repair, not a quick fix. So in addition to proving incompetent at changing an oil filter, JL is actively trying to screw me out of a proper repair by sending me to their shady mechanic. Brought it here because the service cost as much as getting an oil change kit at the time, thanks to the Groupon deal. The deal included a tire rotation but they said that their machine was down. Didn't care since I've had new tires installed already. Anyway, quick oil change, turned down all of their upsell tactics, and went on with my day. I went here for convenience but was disappointed! I am use to better customer service at the union city location. FIRST OFF I knew I could have got an emission done for a cheaper price but this was a one stop shop and I'm also use to them vacuuming my car once they are done but when the man LIED and told me AND the man at the counter my car was clean, i was done then! It says COMPLETED on the paper but I realized he is LAZY. As I was leaving the man said see you later oh no you wont!! A few years ago my wonderful mechanic of many years retired and closed up shop so thought I'd try Jiffy Lube for my oil change. I had used them once before, it went fine and the cost was $39.95 + tax. So last year, during the pandemic, I was out of work and being self-employed had no unemployment, decided I'd go to Jiffy Lube again. I was asked if I wanted the Synthetic oil and I said sure, that's what I always get. I went to pay and he said that'll be $166. I thought maybe he had said $66, and was going to say that they had gone up on their prices. He said no $166. I threw what my grandmother would call a hissy fit. He ended up giving me $20, like that's going to make up for the rip off. He said they had asked me if I wanted the factory synthetic, but all I heard was synthetic and btw the filter was $50. That was the first time in my 66 years of life I had ever been ripped off by a mechanic but believe me, it'll be the last. After I paid I said to the young man, you all should be ashamed of yourselves, ripping people off especially at a time like this. read more

I, too, wish I had read the reviews before coming in. What a shakedown! I fell for the $50 cabin air filter change. I could kick myself now. I had a $10 coupon, but the initial price of the most basic oil change was as least $10 more than the comparable service at other places. I guess they can make a business out of just first-time customers, because I will not be going back and told them as much. And from reading the other review, it doesn't look like many customers come back for a second overpriced oil change. I guess I should have known that this was not going to be a good experience when I couldn't find the prices of any of their services on their website. Very friendly, very fast, even walked me to my car and opened the door for me afterwards. Dealt directly with manager, think his name was Jeff but don't remember. Sterling and Tiffany were very knowledgeable and took the time to go over ever single detail of the services. I even received a smiley message on my oil change reminder sticker. My family and I have been coming to Jiffy Lube for as long as I can remember, however at this location my oil change cost me $35 more than it normally does. When I asked why they basically said that they used a super expensive oil and did an extra service that they did not check with me about and that I did not want. (My boyfriend heard them ask a male customer if he would like the extra services while I was pulling the car around) Super disappointed, I'll be going back to my old jiffy from now on but I will most certainly be asking them about price before they touch my car. read more

Do NOT go to this Jiffy Lube. Rip off. I went in for an oil change and they found several things that needed to be done. I had my car serviced there 3 months ago and they found nothing needed to be done except a filter change, which I expected. The bill was $395.00 this time. The prices they charged for a transmission flush and brake fluid and an oil change, of course it needed a filter, was ridiculous. That's not the worst part though, they told me I needed front and back brakes right away. They quoted me $249 per axle. I asked them why was it going to be so high, they said when they do brakes they always replace the rotors. I told them I dIdn't have $500 for brakes right now and left. The next day I took my car to another car repair shop to get a quote. To my surprise the gentleman came back after checking the front and back brakes and said I didn't need brakes at all. THIS JIFFY LUBE IS THE WORST OIL CHANGE BUSINESS IN THE WORLD. Yes, that's right. I'm writing this review because I gave this business a second chance after they so negligently failed to tighten my oil filter right before I left town for an 8 hour drive. The result - I lost a lot of oil and had a $200 repair when we arrived at our destination. The second time around, I foolishly went back to them. I informed the guys of what happened the last time, and specifically asked them to double check to be sure everything was tightened properly. GUESS WHAT - THEY DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. And to be clear, I drive a Nissan that is less than 5 years old. It's not as if the car or anyone else is to blame. It's pure carelessness on their part, and ignorance on my part for coming back for more. Please do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile or two to find another oil change place. A notorious rip-off. I had the same dreadful experience as others---They charged me $95 for an oil change, then added the $15 labor charge that was supposed to be included in the already ridiculous $95. I especially asked them to check the brake fluid. The person at the desk said she'd tell the mechanic as if she didn't have much hope he would listen. When I asked while paying if he had checked the brake fluid, she said apathetically, "Oh, I'm sure he did." Of course, he hadn't, and I ended up having to have very expensive brake work done. In addition, it took hours just to get the oil change! It may be conveniently near the malls at the Decatur and Clairmont crossing, but by going a few blocks up Clairmont you can have much better, faster, and less expensive service at Williamsburg Chevron and walk a block to either the Book Nook or the huge Toco Hills Shopping Center. These guys are con artists. I went in asking for an oil change and wiper blades, asked for conventional oil, and declined all other services. The manager came out making me feel like it was my lucky day and offered to replace my oil filter for free. I made a big deal to thank him for it and let him know how much I appreciated it. At the end of my service, I was charged $100 including $25 for the air filter. When I questioned him on it he went back saying he would've never offered to give me an air filter for free, and said their cheapest oil was $50. I am constantly amazed by how so many car technicians take advantage of others and I won't let it happen again. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with this business is that they have some very dishonest employees- seems to be ingrained in the practices there. I knew this business had a tendency to upsell but I needed wiper blades badly, so I went there one afternoon. But I also checked to make sure all the fluids were topped off before going- call it a premonition. During the wiper change, an attendant walked over with the oil dipstick in hand, showing me that the oil was low. I said, "Really, I just checked it, try it again." I did purchase air filters but Tiffany showed me the old and new filters before installing but there was no pressure. Would give no stars if that was an option. First they told ripped me off by upselling me a cabin air filter for $90. The air filter cost is about $15 on eBay. And the air filter could have been blown out with an air compressor. Worse the guy never told me it would be so expensive. Second for all of the rattling off of what they did to the car - they did not even fill the windshield wiper fluid. Don't ever go here. I waited thirty minutes while no one was working on my car after taking the wheels off. Everyone was on their phone, they said they were waiting on my brakes to be delivered. They never told me I needed to wait for them to be delivered! I told them to put my car back together they still continued to sit around, I had to repeatedly tell them in not waiting and to put it back together. Run! Do not walk, run. Do not use this location. Based on my experience at this location, do not use Jiffy Lube at all. I paid for a regular $40 oil change, three days later, "oil pressure" indicator light came on. The next day, on my way back to them, I broke down in the middle of the street. Called them, they sent a guy out. The guys that did my oil change didn't put my oil filter back on properly. The dipstick showed my car was bone dry of oil. Made it back to their shop, they repeated my oil change. Four hours later, my check engine light starts flashing and I'm stuck on the side of the road again. Jiffy Lube Manager asks me to have my car towed to them. My car sits there all day after they've promised to fix it. I call that afternoon to check on the progress, they've fixed nothing. Apparently they used the time to get a second opinion on the car and stated it wasn't an "oil issue". You're damn right it's not an oil issue at this point, they've damaged my engine parts by allowing me to drive around with no oil in my car for days. I'm now dealing with coporate directly after having to pay out of pocket AGAIN to have my car towed to my mechanic. All this after a routine oil change. Again, RUN!!!! read more
