Went here for an inspection. Took 2 hours and at the end of it the manager told me there were "lights on in the dashboard." It was a message saying that the collision mitigation system was no longer working, in english. Their inspection works were done by four technicians systematically, and the performances was so high, and each person reported found problems and asked me if I would like to get service on the issues. I was very happy with their so amazing services not on the inspection but also on oil filter , cabinet air filter, and tail light issues, etc. the total services just finished within 40 minutes including waiting times and service times. Horrible! Worst experience ever! I took my car in for an annual inspection within 2 minutes I was called outside for them to tell me I needed a new filter, my brake fluid was low and 'rancid' and I needed a new drivers side wiper (convenient since they have a huge rack of wiper blades in the waiting room). This was a HUGE scam I was forced to pay $23.75 for an 'inspection' and left with a 'fail'!!! I took my car over to a State run inspections only location they affirmed I was being taken advantage of with upselling!!! How unscrupulous the manager would not even talk to me or my husband who I got on the phone ... Don't waste your time or money! read more

Third in line this morning. Took two hours to complete an oil change and inspection. Incredible amount of unprofessionalism as I watched and had to listen to the mechanics shout to people stopped at red light on Highway 54, lots and lots of "hey n-word" "turn that shit down n-word" "f that n-word". Massive amount of swearing back and forth within the front office. Pretty gross behavior overall. Ive been going here for years and the quality of the service has become atrocious. DO. NOT. COME. I went for an oil change. At some point the manager walked me over to the computer and asked me to approve my order. I stupidly assumed I was OKing exactly what I had asked for so I checked the yes button. when it came time to check out the bill was $50 higher than I expected. I asked why. Turns out they had slipped in an air filter change i did not want. also: $50 for an engine air filter! JFC. avoid this place like the plague. read more

First in line for an inspection, somehow last to leave. They tried telling me that the new rules for inspections changed and that is why my car is the last to leave. As a former automotive technician and state inspecor for NC I know that was a lie. I learned my lesson last time taking my car there for a quick oil change... the useless upsells and the incorrectly installing filters had me hesitant to go back. They noticed that the oil plug was not in tight from a previous oil change at a place in downtown Durham (not Jiffy Lube). They did the inspection and topped off my oil! I had a horrible experience with this Jiffy Lube. I went for an oil change and tire rotation, and those initial services were fine and workers were fine. At that service, they let me know I needed new brake pads and rotors and they told me they could do them, so I returned two days later for the service. They told me it would take two hours, so I dropped my car off and returned two hours later. When I returned, they told me that they didn't do the service because they didn't have the part, but they told me to come back first thing the next morning and they would get it done for me. When they told me they didn't do the service, they told me they did a "complimentary oil change" for the inconvenience. This was super weird since I had paid them for an oil change 2 days prior and was not in need of an oil change nor did they ask me any questions to confirm which oil I preferred. I am pretty sure that was a lie. I don't understand why they didn't just call me to pick up my car when they couldn't do my service, rather than me waiting two hours to pick up my car just for nothing to have been done. I still wanted to trust them, so I returned the next morning like they told me to. When I returned in the morning, they still didn't have the part and they did not prioritize my car at all, I watched as it sat in the middle bay for an hour with nobody as much as looking at it. After over an hour, I asked if they were able to do it or not, they said yes and said it would be an hour and a half longer. At the end of the process counting both days of waiting, I spent 5 hours waiting for my brake service to be done. The workers were rude to me and seemed burdened by the work. Communication was unclear. The pricing also was odd as after I received the first verbal quote, they continued to ask me "what was the amount you were quoted", as if to push the limits and change it if I didn't remember it, or as if they didn't know themselves. Super odd. I will not be returning back. If you are desperate for a quick oil change it's fine but anything other than that, I learned my lesson and will not go back at all. For the past ten years or so I have been getting my oil changes and state inspections at this JL; BUT NO MORE! I am finished with JL as my go-to oil change. I took my vehicle into JL for a state inspection and the bay was open so I went inside to wait. After about 15 minutes I noticed my car had still not been pulled into the bay so I left. The next day I brought the vehicle back and the bay was empty so I went to the waiting room. The car was pulled into the bay so I figured I'd be good to go within 10-15 minutes. WRONG! After keeping an eye out for any activity on the vehicle for about 15 minutes there was none so I approached the manager about the technician who had brought it in. He had been wandering around the various bays DOING NOTHING while my car just sat there. The manager mumbled something to the effect that it takes 30 minutes for an inspection but I reminded him that this was suppose to be a JIFFY place and it had never taken more than 20 minutes before; and besides, why wasn't the technician working on it the whole time I waited instead of just wasting time wandering around shooting the breeze with other working technicians? The manager moved my car out of the bay and refused to inspect it. As it turns out I found a Snappy Lube a couple of miles away that got me in and out within 10-15 minutes HELLO SNAPPY, GOODBYE JIFFY! read more

I obtained a Groupon for an oil change here. Pulled up and was immediately greeted and left my car. Had no clue what to expect because this was my first time here. Came back and my car was ready. I had to pay $7 for something even though I had purchased a Groupon. They forgot to place my sticker on the windshield and I don't think they cleaned my windows or vacuum the floors but that was listed on my receipt. Went to get my nails done and returned to spark plug tool lost in my engine..I've had to rent my own car...lost wages because the whole thing took all day...just got my car back yesterday which I had to make arrangements to figure out how to get there how to get rental car back..Im a single black female out here on my own....its shameful I have been treated this way...I am still waiting for reimbursement for the rental car...I HOPE YOU ALL READ BEFORE GOING HERE OR ANY OTHER JIFFY LUBE FOR THAY MATTER !!! read more

I've had decent and friendly experiences in the past but my last visit was less than exemplary. While they did change my oil quickly on a Sunday afternoon, they overinflated my tires and also only vacuumed part of my floor (even though their checklist had it marked off). I had just come back from a long trip and was overdue for an oil change. Things just felt rushed with this service. On top of that, as soon as I retrieved my car the check engine light was on. Today Saturday May 13,2023 i just had the worst experience and experienced abusive verbal treatment from the manager Mike (he identified himself as the manager) It started with overfilling the oil on my Range Rover by at least 1.5 quarts above the recommended 8.5 quats. (I privided my own high quality synthetic oil and filter) In summary, when I requested to have some oil taken out to the correct level Mike raised his voice and argued that hed been doing this for years and if smoke did not come out of the muffler there was nothing to worry about. I explained that excesive pressure accumulates in the burn chamber and results in wetting the spark plugs and other issues that could damage my engine so to please remove some oil to the correct level. At this point he proceeded to do this with a very negative attitude, As I I watched him take the bottom pan off he yelled. "Stop looking or this is not going to end well with you" i responded "You cannot talk to your customers like this" Mike yelled "Shut up!" Y said "Did you just tell me to shut up? he yelled back "you heard it!" I moved back to the waiting room in disbelief that a company would employ such a rude and disrespectful person. I felt disrespected, humiliated and upset at the whole situation. A few minutes Mike went behind the counter and told the cashier lady.."let him go" So. I called Customer Care, as noted in my original review. In fact, "Customer Care" was the biggest problem, acting as if I inconvenienced them. Of note, the Jiffy Lube employees were not a problem. They did what I asked and what they didn't do, I assume, was by direction from management. I'll never know because of the Customer Care person's bad attitude. (However, I do not have anything to compare it to as I am from GA and it was not required there). The design of the entry and exit are a bit awkward to me. I've had several issues issues here. My last oil change, they forgot to put the oil cap back on, causing oil to spill all over my engine. This past time, they submitted a request to my company to replace brakes and my brake fluid without mentioning a word of it to me. I got a call from my company regarding it and they denied the request because it was a high estimate and they did not trust JiffyLube to do it. I had to bring it up as I checked out, and they told me all of my brakes were shot and my fluid was dangerously low which was a suprise to me because my brakes operated fine. I took it to Firestone for a second opinion, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. Company car or not, it's a shame to try to take advantage of someone. read more

Great place for quick oil changes and state inspections. I showed up this morning for an inspection when they opened at 8:00am and there were already a couple of cars in line, but they moved through them quickly. I interacted with several staff members, and they were all friendly and helpful. Martin in particular was friendly and welcoming. It was a good enough experience that I went home and drove right back with my other car for another inspection! I will use this facility again. read more

I appreciate the fact that they don't make me feel like I'm being taken advantage of because I am a woman. Most car places see me and I swear dollar signs are in their eyes. I like how quick the service was. My brakes on my Nissan sounded like they were Hangry lol. The manager came out and assessed the vehicle, gave me a quote and they started working on it soon after. I needed both front and back brakes fixed but they were able to work with me on the budget. Fixing the front brakes and oil change came out to about $350 give or take. Lucor (the local franchisee of Jiffy Lube) called me, or rather I should say, played phone tag today. Joe the representative did not even pretend to care or sound apologetic and jumped straight into reading to me what proof I need to go to collect from the dealer who fixed their work to prove that the incompetent and rude mechanics from Sunday did wrong and then fax to him. I don't know about you, but when a business is rude and does a poor job and then you have to pay someone else to go fix their work... the last thing I'd want to do is then spend even more time to try and convince them that they behaved inappropriately. Just don't come here. There are reputable shops in the area. Find yourself something with at least 3.5 stars on Yelp. I hope sharing my mistake of coming here saves at least one person from this. I told him that I won't be spending any more time collecting files and photos for his process and he patronizingly told me that "this is the process for filing a claim and proving that a business actually has done something wrong." read more

I tried to bring my vehicle here for an inspection. There were 2 cars there before me, but lots of employees standing around who didn't appear to be doing much. It took awhile to get noticed. When someone finally talked to me, he just said "Go wait in there" and pointed to the waiting room. So I went in, and waited, and waited. Occasionally someone would come in the waiting room but rush back out before I could say anything. When I finally caught one of them, he said it would be at least an hour before my inspection could be done. So, I had waited 30 minutes to be told that it would be another hour of waiting. It seemed a little surprising that an inspection would be an hour and a half of waiting when they only had 2 cars in the bays and I counted at least 6 employees there. I had lots of time for counting employees, what with all that waiting. I left and drove to another Jiffy Lube, and had my inspection done in less than 15 minutes. read more

All employees were polite and professional. I went for an oil change and something prevented them from doing so, some cap I had prevented them from being able to do it...they explained it all to me, patiently, but anyway. They couldn't do the oil change, noticed it leaking, and took it back in to look at it. Long story short, they did work they didn't have to. Furthermore, they topped off my oil, found out what code was setting my check engine light off and turned it off, and...insisted it was free. I would have been happy to leave with nothing, but on a slow day they did extra work for free. I really appreciated it, and for that I will return. read more

I come here for inspections only, as I usually do maintenance and repairs myself. The building is in a convenient location, is relatively clean, has free WIFI and they are generally pleasant people. Inspections are just like anywhere else, you wait in line, they take 15mins and you're out. From what I could tell, the employees seemed proactive and interested in doing the work quickly and efficiently. Car passed and after I paid, the guy who drove my car out of the shop held the building door and car door open for me. I guess they have to do it, as we exchanged very awkward glances, then stared at the ground and left. If that's the worst part of the experience, I can't really complain. 3 stars. Nothing to tip either way good or bad. I'll be back with the next car. read more
