Initial receiving was great, service was quick for the work done (and I had zero wait, which was surprising for a Saturday at 12:30), and the staff were great about showing me what was going with my car. The worst. I'm still angry. I drove in, was escorted inside and asked the pricing for an oil change. Pricing was on a revolving screen and gave me no idea what I would be paying. I was told they would be 'right with me'. Before I consented to any services or prices, I see them working on my car. All I am going to say is they earned this review I am about to write. Their one star reviews are almost as high as the 5 star reviews... My wife took her truck into this location to get a simple oil change, and we left with a sidewall sliced tire from their service platform. All vehicles, just prior servicing have to be vacated so that one of their employees can drive it into the bay and up on the service ramp. The sides of the ramp are flat angled steel and if the vehicle is not driven in there with a spotter and it's not square the tires can ride up one side of the tire and SLICE the sidewall which in this case clearly happened. Now mind you she had been sitting at the bay doors prior to this servicing waiting along with a few other cars - no flat, just sitting there waiting. When she got out and the guy got in he drive in rather quickly, and was not square, hence he drove the right front tire along the inside steel rail of the ramp and bingo a nice clean brand new slice on the sidewall of the tire, she actually saw the truck ride up and then slide down quickly. So when the store manager TYIE ROBERTSON approached her and said "hey you have a flat tire" she said ya, because your guy drove into the metal rail while driving my truck up on the ramp. He said "ya"... They proceeded to change the tire, and then said that there was a tire place across the street like, WE ARE GOING TO PAY FOR A NEW TIRE THAT THEY JUST DESTROYED. The back and forth when on and TYIE said he was going to submit the "paperwork" to the regional manager and he/she would handle it. They video tape the vehicles that are being worked on, so there is video of this event that I am sure will readily be deleted. RESULT: Multiple unanswered calls, and two weeks of no contact whatsoever from the store, the R-Manager, or JiffyLube Inc. This is not only a shady business practice, but extremely unethical. If you want to do business with a shop like that, enjoy. I'm not. NOW: We will contact JiffyLube corporate, file a BBB claim, and contact the VA State Attorney General's Office consumer protection Division. All we wanted was an oil change., not a $400+ repair that resulted from their negligence while handling a customer's vehicle. I came here a couple years ago for a tail light bulb replacement and everything was PERFECT. Not sure if I was just lucky then or unlucky now but this experience was a train wreck and I won't be back. I was there around 5pm on a Friday and it was just me and one other car. I pulled up to the garage and waited a few minutes as 4 employees milled around and did things without acknowledging me or asking what I needed or anything. For a moment I thought maybe I wandered into a bad Twilight Zone where my car and I were invisible. Finally, someone came over to ask what I needed and a few more minutes went by before a second person came over to address my issue. The technician said she could fix it but needed to grab the correct tool (which I don't own so I didn't just do it myself) and went off to find it. She came back with the tool and started to take the trunk liner off to access the bulb. She then said she wasn't comfortable replacing the bulb because she was afraid she'd break the liner. She said she could do it but was afraid she'd break it. I then politely told her thanks for her time but I'll take it elsewhere. I appreciate the honesty and not damaging my vehicle but if they can't do this repair I don't even want to think about how they could damage my engine, transmission, etc. Also, were none of the other employees at the shop able to conduct this repair either? Per their website, "Jiffy Lube® inspects and tests exterior lights and replaces any bulbs, as needed, or at your request." I guess this location didn't get the memo. It took over an hour to complete my oil change, and my vehicle was the next in queue when I arrived. (The representative who closed out my ticket stated that they were short staffed.) It was my first time paying over $100 for an oil change. (The representative did not ask me what oil change I wanted. He automatically charged me for the full synthetic although my vehicle could have taken the synthetic blend.) It was my first time being charged for a "canister." I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years. I took all my cars here. So I was a little surprised. I was in the waiting room, I watched them pull my car into the bay and I watched the technician drain my oil. So far pretty standard. 20 minutes later, the office attendant, calls me over holding my dipstick and saying that I have no oil in my car. I just looked at him and said "Oh no, how?" He said my car is burning oil and I really need this $300 engine package. Really???? If I had no oil in my car, I would have already blown the engine driving it. Seriously, how dumb do they think I am. I am very disappointed. Not only have they jacked up their prices, now they lie to me. For what it costs at Jiffy Lube I might as well go to the dealer. The best Jiffy Lube experience I've had in my life! Really! I only needed an oil change, but braced myself for the hard sell on everything else you could ever need done on a vehicle. As I sat in the waiting room, I observed the interaction between the customer service rep and at least three other customers. I didn't see the hard sell once! The rep patiently explained the manufacturer recommended service and his recommendation. He always finished with, "the decision is up to you, no pressure here." Awesome! They did use a $10 off coupon but I still paid $107. I also asked for full synthetic however, my dealer doesn't charge that much and neither does NTB. Drove up this morning for a quick oil change. Was greeted and work was performed promptly, but everything else was very poor. Paid for a "Signature Service oil change" package. Work was done, but upon inspection, car was not vacuumed, windows not wiped down, tires not inflated. I was told at checkout that the tires were inflated all around. When I got to my car to drive away, I noticed the tire pressure light was on and my car was showing 28 PSI. When I walked back to ask about that and the other missing services, which I had paid over $120 for, I was told that due to aftermarket wheels, they don't inflate tires. Tire pressure is listed on the sidewalls, so not sure why they couldn't have done that... Further, I was told that the other services are no longer performed due to Covid. It'd be nice if they told you that or had that listed so you knew that before paying for the full package. I also found it funny that they said that the services were no longer offered do to Covid, yet I can freely sit in the waiting room without a mask and they don't wear them either... Incident at Jiffy Lube 1014 W. Broad Street Falls Church, VA 22046, Saturday, October 29, 2022, 4:33pm. I stopped at the W. Broad Street Jiffy Lube, F alls Church, VA location on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 4:33 pm to get an oil change. My car had no other mechanical problems prior to going to Jiffy Lube, I just wanted a routine oil change. The technician that greeted me said "Hey you've been here before". He checked in my car, and the oil change took no longer than 10 minutes when it usually takes at least 25 or 30 minutes. I got in my car and went to Walmart and Petco, as I had my dog with me, so I got some dog food and I headed home. I took 495 South, and on my way home, my check engine light, as well as my Engine Oil Pressure is low light came on and then the See User Manual flashed as well. None of these lights were on when I went to Jiffy Lube. My car slowed down tremendously while on 495 South, and I was praying that I would make it home without my car stopping on the highway. I made it home, parked my car, turned it off and then started it again to see if it would start, and the engine was very loud and rough sounding. I checked under the car to see if oil was leaking and there was no oil leaking. On Sunday, October 30, 2022, I contacted the Falls Church location where I had the oil change and informed them as to what happened, and they called their manager, Tyie Robertson, who later contacted me. Mr. Robertson stopped by my residence to check my car and discovered that there was too much oil in my car which caused the damage. He came back to my residence on Monday, October 31st and drained the oil out of my car and the loud noise was still there. He said that Jiffy Lube would be buying me a new motor, as the excess oil caused motor failure. He also said that Jiffy Lube would get me a rental car until my car is repaired. I also contacted the Jiffy Lube corporate office who sent me a complaint number of 00335231, and they also said that they would escalate the matter to the district manager at the Jiffy Lube location where I received service. The district manager contacted me after 3pm on Monday, October 31st, and asked me what happened. I explained the situation, and he said give him until November 1, 2022 for him to contact me with next steps. I contacted the district manager and he said he was doing his investigation into the matter and would get back to me later on November 1st. The matter still has not been resolved. I informed the district manager that Malloy Ford could replace my engine for $3500 plus labor and I could also get a rental car from Hertz for $40/day all at Jiffy Lube's expense. The manager was hesitant to accept the offer and said he is still investigating the matter. I need my car, as I care for my mother and now have no transportation. *****BEWARE***** As soon as I pulled up someone told me "The oil change for your car is going to be at least $99"" How can you tell me this without even talking to me? Then he goes on to say that my car takes full synthetic oil. I explained to him that it does not and stop trying to UP SELL me. He then proceeds to tell me that if I didn't get full synthetic oil, it will void my warranty. I pulled out my manual and showed him what the recommended oil is and please give me what I asked for. Then another jerk came out and said that "all turbos take synthetic oil". I said "my car isn't a turbo, and that statement is not true". Please google your oil type of just look in the manual and don't let them sell you something you don't need. I took my car here to get a basic oil change and tire rotation, or so I thought. I think they thought that because I'm a woman I wouldn't know if they actually rotated my tires or not, but they didn't and still charged me for it anyways. I asked them twice if they did the tire rotation and they lied both times telling me they did. Make sure you're paying for the services you're asking for and make sure they're actually doing them and correctly at that. I am going to pass giving a recommendation , while the oil change went smoothly, the price was actually more then the dealer charges. $99 for a oil change ( plus a -10 coupon = $89) is pretty expensive. Every time I try to go to this location there are never enough ppl working. Last time the wait was 1.5 hrs with one car ahead of me. They were doing work other than oil change. Today no cars in bay and the car in front of me wouldn't start. No one came to my car to check so I turned around and left. The staff at this location broke a lug nut bolt off my car while rotating my tires. Service was slow too.

When new, my car's tires came with 11/32 tread depth. The car now has only 53k miles on it -- it's hardly driven -- averaging ~ 7k miles a year. In July 2018 I paid to have the tires rotated here, and assumed they were. Only 7 months later, March 2019, the car had its annual state safety inspection, and the inspector noted that the rear tires had 5/32 tread, and the front tires had 4/32. If the tires had been rotated, the rear should have had the lesser tread depth, not the front, because at the time the front tires should have been rotated to the rear. Therefore, the rotation was never done. read more
