I really put off doing oil changes and State Inspections, but thought I should get them done on my car since we are traveling for the holiday. I usually wouldn't rate an auto service shop unless it were really awesome or really terrible! Jiffy Lube was neither. Don't get me wrong they were great, but nothing that knocked my socks off. I am rating them, because I had a horrible experience at Sun Auto Service and came to Jiffy Lube instead. Comparatively they are awesome. I was greeted as I pulled up. Worst customer service of any jiffy lube. The assistant manager was not helpful, the car was pulled forward and I was told it was ready to go and here's the catch... The radiator cap was not put back on, the air filter box was not screwed back into place and they shut the hood of the car but it wouldn't fully close because the radiator cap was blocking the patch so the cap was smashed. They only care about up selling needless services and apparently hate their jobs because they take zero pride in what they do. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube on Williams Drive to get my car inspected on Sept 1st. As I waited in line, I pulled my insurance paperwork out of the console. I noticed that I had my pistol and magazines in the console and debated whether I should lock them up in the glove compartment. Against my better judgement, I opted to leave it in the console. After the inspection was completed, I went to put my insurance form back in the console and noticed that it been gone through. The pistol was no longer there; only the spare magazines remained. I brought it to the attention of the person that did the inspection and called the Police department. An officer came out, made a report, interviewed the two people that I had seen in my car during the inspection process. No one admitted taking the gun. I filed a complaint with the Jiffy Lube corporate office who passed the complaint back to the local franchise owner 12 days ago. I have not heard from the Manager or Franchise owner. I felt that I needed to alert the local public to make sure you do not leave anything of any value in your car should you choose to do business with this company. 4 Oct - Interesting. I logged on to Yelp to see if anyone from this franchise had replied to the complaint logged above. I could not find it and had to scroll to the bottom only to find that it was not deemed important by Yelp and my one star did not factor into the companies overall rating. Really - something is stolen from your vehicle and they decide it doesn't count against the company. I thought reviews would appear chronologically or allow you to select the low scoring ones. Evidently not the case. It's been over a month since the theft and subsequent Police report and complaint to Jiffy Lube. It's been almost two weeks on Yelp and I have yet to hear from the Mgr or Owner of this location. read more

Nothing jiffy about this place. They have a lot of business but they are S-L-O-W. I have been here more than 30 minutes and have not seen anyone leave. I won't be coming back here again. I stopped yesterday to get my car inspected and was told to come back tomorrow because the inspector had the day off, OK no problem. I went back today and was told by the person who does the inspections that he had finished his inspections for the day and would not do anymore. I told him that I was told to come back today, no one said I had to be back before any specific time. I came back today at 12:30 in the afternoon, and they are done with inspections, what kind of service is that. It is poor!!! If I had been informed that I needed to be back before noon I would have tried to make arrangements to do so but that was not relayed to me yesterday, all that I was told was to come back tomorrow and that is what I did and got turned away. At least this story ends on a good note. About a week ago we sent our 16 year old daughter for an oil change. That night we asked her for the receipt and we saw a charge of almost $70! Needless to say we were extremely upset. It was for a "Signature Service". A couple days later my wife and I had time to go in and speak with management on this issue. Prior to going in I called and asked for pricing on a Signature Service and was quoted a significantly less price. Hmmm. We ended up speaking with the same gentleman that sold her the service. Simply, we voiced our feelings that a 16 year old was taken advantage of and didn't think that was right. He ended up giving us a full refund, although nice, was not what we were after. We stated we were willing to pay a reasonable amount or even if they wanted to change the oil in one of our other cars and call it even. We had never asked for a full refund. So the bottom line is they made it right and we appreciate that. Thank you Jiffy Lube. We intentionally are not mentioning names out of respect. Yelp, on the other hand, sent us an email a few days after our initial post stating they were deleting our post because "it was not a first hand experience". I'm sorry Yelp, BUT IT'S A 16 YEAR OLD MINOR that we're talking about so yes, it is a first hand experience. Or at least it is now that we did go in to Jiffy Lube and speak to them about the issue ourselves. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE INSPECTED HERE! Took my car in for a routine inspection and they tried to take advantage of me. I know they always try and up sell here but generally I decline and get my car back. This time they told me they would not pass my inspection because my belts were cracked. After a quick google search on my phone I realized that belts were not part of the inspection process and brought this up to the technician. His response: "Uh.... well... I guess if you promise to get the belts fixed we can go ahead a pass you this one time." Unreal. I wonder how many people are duped by this SCAM. read more

It's interesting that the reviews are so mixed for this JLube...i've utilized this Georgetown location for state inspections as well as regular oil changes, and have always enjoyed good customer service and expedient maintenance (unlike some other reviewers.) I think it really just depends on what time of day you (and everyone else!) get there. read more

I took my car too get an oil change, although the people were nice they for got to do 2 things that said "completed" on my receipt. My floors still had leaves from my windows being open cause it felt great out and my tires never got leved, 2 off them were obviously the same as before. They did take care of it and right as i came back but some things probably need to be done by myself! read more

To be honest if there were a complete zero instead of one star I would much rather give that. I gave my instructions to the employee of what I WANTED done. When I got my receipt I noticed they charged me for the next oil change that cost more. I told the manager they didn't give me what I had originally asked for and he completely blew me off and argued with me. Professionalism is something this shop apparently knows nothing about. They let their employees smoke in the shop. More over the manager follows along with them. I am pretty sure the guys over at OSHA would love to hear that the guys there smoke right within POL products. No hazards there. Not to mention smoking right there with kids around and letting it get in the customers faces. I will not ever be returning to this shop and will dismay anyone I know from going there because the simple truth is this jiffy lube will rip you off!!! read more

We had a car battery die on us. Was able to get a jump and drove to Jiffy Lube on Williams Dr. Our car is a Jaguar so needed a Jaguar battery. They found it for us and installed it. It's been a couple of weeks and car is still going and going. The manager at the time (Saturday around 5pm) was so nice and helpful. We thought we had a very serious problem but once they got the battery installed and all was good we were relieved. The manager put us at ease with his wonderful personality. Thank you! read more

As a female, I usually dread going to get the car oil changed because there is always some jackass mechanic telling me that there is something wrong with my car (and in most cases there isn't). So, I needed an oil change on my very expensive car and took a risk to take it here. The guys were very professional and they didn't try to sell me ridiculously expensive oil. They did a great check on the car and showed me my air filters, etc. I got to watch them work on it which made me feel more comfortable. I even found out one man in there was a former military sergeant and he had that place in total command. No goofing off going on over there. Very cool and very happy to have him there as he gives that place a level of professionalism I wish more places would have. The price was very reasonable too and I was in and out of there in about 40 minutes total. Thanks for making me have faith again in a Jiffy lube! read more

I stopped in later afternoon to get my car inspection, but somehow miscommunicated and the employees thought I wanted an oil change. By the time we all understood it wasn't an oil change I needed, they had already drained my car of oil. So they graciously gave me a FREE oil change, with upgraded oil! Follow up...finally got a call from corporate. they left a message. i returned the call and got answering machine. this same routine continued for many days and weeks. finally got a call from them that said if i didn't return the call by 5:00 pm that day, the claim would be closed. i didn't get home until after 5. called back and left message that i did indeed want to follow through with claim. no more messages from them. AGAIN, I SAY---DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND HAVE NO CARE ABOUT DOING SO. I'm still waiting for a call from someone who actually wants to speak with me. read more

I went to another oil change business that had only two people working four lanes and decided I did not want to wait forever. So I went to Jiffy Lube on Williams and was very impressed. They got my car in immediately, went to work changing the oil, cleaned my windows, and had me on my way in about 20 minutes. I especially appreciated the fact that they did not try to upsell me a bunch of service/products I did not need. The staff were very nice. I will go here from now on. They have been negatively impacted by the gas leak situation and I hope people will support them and help them get back on their feet after being closed for a couple of months. read more

I went in this morning to get my oil changed. I was told that my battery was low. My battery is only a year old. I passed. I went over to the Interstate battery shop & had it checked out. Went for an oil change today. The service was quick and seemed efficient. Staff were pleasant. 10 minutes later I entered my garage to find my car smoking and it smelled like it was burning. On examination there was oil spilled over a huge area under the hood and all over the front bumper..it looked like some attempt had been made to wipe it but not very effectively. When I called jiffy lube, the mechanic said "it was difficult to get the oil in the right place because we had to use a funnel". I can only assume it was a perforated funnel or maybe they used a spray gun! Never in 10 years of oil changes on this vehicle have I experienced anything like this.. I certainly won't be returning to this provider. read more

The place was alright if you got there early. BUT BY 3PM ITS TRASHED. The management is too busy to check the restroom, much less delicate someone to clean it. What should have been less than an hour state inspection turned out to be almost 2. Employees would go to there personal car after every oil change and smoke a cigarette. Some one check the restroom please, I won't tell you how nasty it was, I'll just say I almost lost my lunch. read more

I want to really like this place. I have used Jiffy Lube for years in my previous Hurst location we lived in with great service and confidence. Both times I have visited this Georgetown location for Safety inspections they were suspended for giving them by the DPS according to the man that waited on us. Ask if they could rotate tires? Answer the lift was broke. Finally ask if they could do an oil change? Answer yes! One out of three requested services. I did oil change and used coupon which did make the cost reasonable. Had to clean some of my tan interior where oil stained hands were. They were all polite and opened doors. Waiting room could use a good cleaning. Understand every business has equipment and personnel issues from time to time. I just have experienced it two out of two visits. Don't think I will go for the third times the charm here. read more

Went in a couple months ago to get an oil change. I didn't have an oil leak before I got there but I did when I left. I drive a Ford F-250 so I was charged $81 for the oil change. Not only was I charged an extremely high amount, when I took it back a week later, they just topped it off and said it wasn't from their work. So I took it across the street to Christian Brothers and they redid the oil change and it hasn't leaked since. I knew better than to use them but I was needing an oil change and they were open. Won't make that mistake twice. read more

Got there for an oil change, told "ok, just give us a few min", then waited an hour until I got my truck and left. I literally witnessed my truck moved to a different bay to allow another vehicle in front of me. At first, I thought maybe they were just putting a quick service in my place. Today I sent my 16 y/o daughter to get an oil change on her car. This was her first time. I gave her my debit card. When she got home, i asked how much it had cost. She hands me the receipt....over $67!!!!! Are you f%$&ing kidding me??????? What a SCAM!!!!!! They put the most expensive oil in and a bunch of unnecessary add-ons...."Signature Service High Mileage." Way to take advantage of a young driver who does not know the difference. I only sent her there because her oil light came on today and I knew it was over the recommended time frame, not to mention it has been over 100 degrees for over a week.
