I was absolutely shocked by the way I was treated. I came in to see if they could refill my brake fluid and check my brake pads to make sure there was nothing wrong. My brake lights light up on my consul so I just wanted to play it safe and make sure everything was good. There was some wrong alright. They tried to tell me that my brakes in the back were very thin, and I needed new rotors for both back wheels. Quoted me $350 to drain my brake fluid and refill it and that my front brakes need replacing too. Keep in mind, I just got all 4 brakes re done 1yr prior so my brakes and rotors didn't need replacing. They quoted me $700 all together for "what I needed" in regards to my brakes. When I told the guy that I would have to come back later, b/c that price was just so outrageous too me, he gave me an attitude as if I took money from him and completely disregarded me when I was being polite to him when I left. Stay away from this place!! They target women thinking they can price gauge them b/c we wouldn't know what the right price would be. Thank god I went to a brake inspection place and they didn't charge me for the brake fluid I needed and confirmed that all my brakes and rotors were just fine! read more

You pull up and they ignore you for 20 minutes. The sign says stay in your car, so I called. At least they pickup the phone quickly, that's what earned them any stars. You have to wait in your car for however long it takes. There were two cars in front of me and it was going to take 40 minutes, at least, on top of the 20 minutes I already spent being ignored. I'm an Uber and Lyft driver. Juan helped me to inspect my vehicle so I can get back on the road. Cost was just over $22 for Uber and $14 for Lyft. The guys are fast and had no line. The Jiffy Lube in Miramar was an hour and a half to wait. Go here. Guys are great. read more

They not only changed my oil quickly and efficiently, they checked and added air to my tires, as well as cleaned all my windows!! Sooooo disappointed, I received a oil change and a new air filter. Just discovered that the air filter box was never screwed on AT ALL and the hose was never reconnected to the engine. I just failed my SMOG test and had to go home and try to reconnect it myself. The air filter was pure white having never been connected properly. I had to pay to retake my SMOG test. As a single mother I do not have the time or the money to be dealing with such thoughtlessness. Thankfully no permanent damage was done to my car. I will not be going to Jiffy Lube again read more

I had a Lyft inspection for my BMW 550i at this location and had never been here before. I was directed right into the bay and off they went. I was told I could wait inside and it shouldn't be long. It seemed like no more than three minutes went by when Thomas popped in and handed me my keys. I had to confirm they were done because it was so quick. Gabriel was the second guy. This location charged me over $300 for an oil change with new filters plus a radiator flush. The radiator flushing machine had dead leaves and dirt visibly floating in the fluid, which was a medium rusty color. Never going here again. read more

I have had it with the customer service they provide, i had no choice today and i needed to get my car so i thought i try them one more time. Again disappointing. i have a a couple cars i bring to them before numerous times through out the year, and always they give you a paper and tell you what they did. well the last 5 visits has same result, wash window vacuum car etc etc. i pick up car and none was done even though on paper it said completed. if they do this how do i know they even put oil in the car ? I have already spoken to manager ( i think it was ) when i caught it the first time, all they did is apologize and say we make sure it wont happen again, 4 more times and im done. My husband took his work truck in too jiffy lube because he really needed an oil change and he said the workers didn't ask him what kind of oil he wanted or tell him the prices or ask him for any information. They put full synthetic without telling him . He wanted just regular oil. Just because someone takes there work truck in doesn't give them any right to give someone the most expensive oil. He said they didn't look professional or talk professional and they seemed like they were high while working. I also took my regular car there before and they didnt even know how to reset the oil life percentage, also 2,000 miles in and it already feels like it needs an oil change. Came in for a basic oil change and that's exactly what I got. My receipt claims they checked my wiper blades, tire pressure, filters and various fluids along with a variety of other things. None of the items in their "service checklist" that I could easily observe through my "washed" windshield were ever actually attempted. Can't say for sure if anything under the car was checked but I did see one employee diligently checking his phone for some time. Also, the employee at the computer decided that my last name would now be "Schite". Have to say I was extremely unimpressed with this place and will never return. Remember this: YOU ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. Now, after leaving Peanut's Auto Repair, I drove right down the street to Jiffy Lube - the Seven Eleven of oil change shops. I pulled into the parking space and was looking through some viable options when a redheaded teen walked up in blue coveralls and asked if I was wanting an oil change. Sure, I replied, but I wanted to check out what other options were available to me before I pulled in. He looked absolutely perplexed then told me to take my time before sauntering back under the canopy. Ah, what the hell. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's made his/ her decision based on the fact that, since they're a corporate chain and if they f**k my car up, I'm sure they'll make it right, even if I have to take this up to corporate level. Mm hmm. I pull up to the bay and an attractive girl named Laura walks out with what could almost pass for a smile. Throughout the entire exchange, I don't think she smiled once. I tell her what I need, then spend the next ten minutes declining other services that I just simply HAVE to have (full synthetic oil, sludge protection, etc) with a series of No Thank You's before I'm finally told my total: $27. Not bad. From the word go, they're confounded. They're looking in the engine bay, then look underneath, they scratch their head, then look inside the engine bay few more times for good measure, sit inside and look at the instruments, then scratch their head some more. What they're confused about, I haven't a clue. In the waiting room, there's another man waiting for his vehicle. His name is Ryan as well. Laura calls him out to the repair bay and explains that, when they drained the used oil out of his car, only half a quart came out and that he really needs the sludge service or something. Now, Ryan confesses that he's not a mechanical genius but that he'd have noticed something different if he's gown down from at least four quarts of lubricants to 0.5. Me, I'm gonna have to go with Ryan on this one. Having an amazing name aside, he seems like an intelligent guy and that Your- Car- Is- About- To- Die schtick just screams snake oil. My turn: Laura calls me out to the repair bay this time. She tells me that, surprise surprise, my oil is a quart low and that I must have some problem with - you guessed it - sludge. She recommends the sludge service for me as well. I just give her a look. I'm sure anyone who has some smartass friends know the "... really??" look. Laura looks almost embarrassed, actually. I decline the service and they go on with the Basic Crap (I feel they stopped just short of naming it that) service. The redheaded guy pulls my car out of the bay and I, having paid my $27, stand and wait for him to get out of my car. Few minutes pass and he's still in there. What he's doing, I don't know. So I walk up and he has that same perplexed look he had when I first came in. He says he's trying to reset the service alert. I wait patiently as he clicks away in my car. He finally gives me a sheepish grin and asks if I know how to reset it. "Sure, I'll take care of it," I reply. The he adds a comment that, at the same time, enlightens me and scares me into not coming back. "I've never worked on an Infiniti... we never get those cars here." Yikes. Terrible experience! I was quoted incorrectly over the phone. To make matters worse, I even repeated the price to confirm before I drove over. When I got there and explained I called a few minutes earlier and was quoted a certain amount, they asked who did I talk too. Never got an apology, nothing. Then when they wanted to charge me DOUBLE, I said there was a place down the street that would do the oil change for $10 less and there was a car wash included. Response from the associate that appeared to be the manager, "Well, we're not the place down the street." Worst customer service ever!!!! I just picked up and left. Beware especially girls, they will try to up sale you,. Every time I've been here they try to say something else is wrong with your car even if you had it recently fixed. Just demand you want oil change only! Today they told 3 girls they needed their batteries replaced. It's a good place when you're in a hurry but you will pay more than other places. I started this review months ago and forgot to finish it. I just went in there and told them a oil change only! Don't try to up sale me! At the end they told me things they recommended , and that I need my head light replaced. They said I will get a ticket for it! But I know how to do it myself, and said no. I have really been debating about writing a review for this place. Honestly, it has been close to year since my last time there. I just was not sure if I should bother to write a review, but every time I think about my car, this last visit to Jiffy Lube just really annoys me. FIRST TIME I have been there twice and the first time the guy was really nice, I think he had red hair? But I was also aware that they were aware it was a "first-time" service. But I left satisfied with the job they did. So, I went back a second time. SECOND TIME The guy was not the same one and he was not as nice. I asked for the $65 oil change because I drive between SF and SD a few times a year and I also asked for a tire rotation. Jiffy Lube puts air in the tires, vacuums the floor (if there is anything on the floor they do not move it to vacuum), and tops of fluids all for free. I sat inside the waiting room in comfy, but low chairs. I noticed that the window, which looks into the work area was higher up and the chairs were low. So, you cannot see them working on the cars if you are sitting down. Eventually, they finished working on my car and I left feeling like everything was okay. PROBLEMS Maybe a day later, my tire pressure light went on and I tried turning it off/resetting it but it would just turn back on. It stayed on for a month until I went back to SF. My brother decided to check out my car before I left to come back to SD. Right away he noticed to coolant reserve was empty and that I had a very noticeable leak in the tank (it was caked up with crusty pink coolant around the leak). It would have been nice if Jiffy Lube had noted the leak in their findings, since it was so obvious... But I played it off as whatever, that's not really their job, but it would have been nice. My brother checked the air in the tires and it was fine. But the light still would not go off. Fast forward to 7 months later. I am once again in SF and my brother is checking over the car more thoroughly for me since during that time I had not gotten my car serviced. He went to replace the oil and found that the crush washer for the oil pan drain plug was MISSING. They either lost it and did not bother to inform me or they forgot to put it back on at Jiffy Lube. Either way I felt slighted, because hey, she won't know! On top of that my tire light still wont turn off. I have never had that problem before that last time at Jiffy Lube. Which was also the time that I asked them to rotate the tires... I kind of wonder if they messed something up... BOTTOM LINE: I went there twice. First time everything went fine. Second time, I feel like I did not get the best service...it would have nice of them to notify me of the coolant leak and also note the really dirty transmission fluid- which they saw because they topped it off. JUST PUT IT IN THE NOTES! It's called customer service! As for the tires, buyer beware! AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT WASHER FOR THE OIL PAN?!?! Hmm, guess they figured I would never know... I mean, its the oil pan (their main job!) how could you forget to basically do your job, unless you lost it... *I would give it 2 stars, but the first time, as far as I know, everything was good.
