La Quinta Jiffy Lube to the Rescue! Gabriel and Fabian, you ate my Heroes! I Stopped into the PD location but they did not have the tool to change my oil, so they said to go to the LQ location. As soon as I arrived, I was treated with great customer service, offered coffee/water. As I waited in the lobby, Fabian and Gabriel made me aware that the PD location, did not put the oil cap back on and oil spilled all over my engine : ( They did not have to tell me, I would not have know, that shows huge character to me. I went to get an oil change today about 8 am Conner greeted me very professionally helped me get my stroller out of the car since I had my 11 month old with me and walked me inside showed me where the water and coffee we're and they finished my oil change very quickly and so I was on my way, I was very impressed I will be back again . These guys are the worst I've ever seen. Simple oil change on my Audi Q7. Platinum synthetic oil. They finish. I pay. Couple of weeks later I notice a massive oil leak. This is why: They didn't have the right tool to remove the oil pan plug so they used "something". They buggered up the plug so badly that they couldn't control the re-tightening and cross threaded the thing so it wouldn't seal. What to do? They grab some left-handed chewing gum and cram it in so it doesn't leak until later. I have the photo of the thing as Audi found it (they had to tap the pan and replace the plug). La Quinta Jiffy Lube knew they created a problem and just covered it up, saying NOTHING to me about it. The. Worst. Job. Ever. Horrible. read more

On a Saturday afternoon with moderate business traffic, the technicians at this location were careless in discarding a battery test slip which happened to be found lodged inside my trucks air intake housing. On my way home after service my truck died in the middle of moving traffic nearly causing an accident. After several tries to restart, and from experience and knowledge in automobile operations systems, I determined that my truck was acting like it wasn't breathing properly. That's when I removed the air filter and discovered the test slip lodged over the air intake sensor located inside the housing. I also checked my battery cables and found my positive connection to be loosened. After returning to the Jiffy Lube and speaking with the help, whom never offered any thing other than a less than half hearted apology, I was given the district managers number. After two attempts to contact him in consecutive days, I have had no response. I warn all who may consider this location, or any other in this region for that matter, to beware of the sloppy work and poor professionalism. Butt, as i found, if you want a problem in a Jiffy, this is your spot! read more

Terrible service. They always make you wait so they can try to up sell you. I actually gave in and probably purchased a few things I didn't need bit that isn't even my complaint. They gave me a ton of attitude and make me wait when I came to pick up my car because I left it there for 2 days. They also never addressed my check engine light which other than the oil change was the reason for my visit! They said it wasn't part of the service! After over $300 (oil change, air filter, and transmission service) they couldn't look at the check engine light?! What a horrible experience! I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Beware. From the bay area and visiting family in the desert. My wife brought her car in for an oil change. David, the store manager, asked my wife if she would like the same "Synthetic Service" as performed at our Jiffy Lube in the Bay Area for $110.00 She questioned the cost and told David that she didn't think her husband would spend that much for a car that was 14 years old and 230,000 miles. David then showed her a screen which showed service history and pointed to the "SS" designation as Synthetic Service. She fell for it and paid the money. When I returned from a round of golf, she asked if I had synthetic oil changes done at Jiffy Lube. I had never used Synthetic in this car when we purchased it new. I called David and questioned him about my previous oil changes and from what store. He continued to tell me that indeed I had Synthetic oil changes. I asked him for the owners name which he replied "I don't know who the owner is" I then asked who his manager was and reluctantly gave me a name of the area's district Manager. I gave David the opportunity to come clean but he to insisted that I was wrong. I left a message with the district manager and he promptly returned my call. He said that he would look into my complaint. The next day, the district manager contacted me and informed my that I had never used Synthetic oil and apologized for David's actions. He went ahead and credited my card for the difference of the Synthetic and standard oil change - about a $60 difference. So look out for the scam - they show you an SS and tell you that stands for Synthetic Service - what SS really means is Jiffy Lubes "Signature Service". It's unfortunate that one employee, or in this case, the store manager decides to rip off customers by selling you something that was never done. If this has happened to you or someone else you know, this outfit should be investigated for fraudulent business practices. This desert location is an area with a large population of retirees and/or widows and in my opinion, could be taking advantage of other customers using this scam. Most likely, the manager gets incentivized on up-charging from standards services. Someone who lives in the area call the State of California, Bureau of Automotive Repairs for an investigation. If David is still employed there, then the district manager should also be held accountable. I have used Jiffy Lube for 28 years - one manager who takes advantage of a long time customer ruins it for ever. read more

Fast oil change. Cashier advised me to go to Walmart for a cheaper oil change when I was shocked at the price. Then he realized I didn't need the type of oil he was originally suggesting. After, he had some attitude when I said I didn't want my air filter changed. It was fine but not the best. read more
