This is my favorite place to get my oil change. The staff is super friendly, they make me feel welcomed every time! Jenthina and Sherwin are always so friendly, very thorough with explaining what they did and always smiling! The staff members are great also. Beware yelp users: When I picked up my car from getting an oil change , it didn't accelerate the way it's supposed to. I gave it a day to see if it would run normally again. It didn't so I took it back to the shop two days later. I don't like being taken advantage of. I knew something else was done to my car because when I took it for it's oil change , it ran perfectly. When I took it back to the shop, the manager kept reassuring me that they didn't touch anything else on the car except change it's oil and check it's fluids. He kept repeating that and then he said "yeah we didn't even touch the air filter". That's when I knew they fucked with the car. I had a loose air filter before, and that caused my cars acceleration to slow down. He offered to check the car again in case he "saw something " , but come on , really? And what I predicted was true. I watched the mechanic re attach the air filter, and I even asked him "so all you did right now was just readjust the air filter right?" And he said yes. When I drove off, my car accelerated fine. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what happened. I really don't appreciate being taken advantage of, especially being a women because typically, we get messed with more often because we "lack " knowledge on cars. I've taken my car to Jiffy lube for oil changes for almost two years and this is the first time (that I noticed) something like this happen. I don't appreciate that at all and I won't be back. This Jiffy Lube location has by far the worst service I have ever seen at any oil change shop. I know a little bit about cars, so I make it a point to watch when my oil is being changed. The tech here completed the oil change ok, but before he finished, he decided to hose down my engine with water! Who does that in a car that electronics and computers in the engine compartment? After hosing it down the car wouldn't start back up. None of the techs even tried to come and ask me if anything was wrong - they acted as though everything was normal. I finally went and called them and asked them to take a look at the car - it was clearly running when i brought it in. They said the "oil level sensor" must be loose and that's why the car wasn't starting. I told him that the oil light should be on then, and he just shrugged it away and said that it was my problem and not his that the car wasn't starting. I told the guy that if the car was working right before the oil change, with no issues, and if I saw him pour water over my engine (I took pictures and showed him the water that was still sitting everywhere in the engine compartment), that it was his problem. He vanished for a bit, then came back and tried starting my car 20 - 30 times, revving it real high for the one second that it was on before it died every time. Finally he got it to start, handed me my keys, said "not my problem anymore" and walked away. The car behaved erratically for a bit, but once the water dried off, it was ok - but my ECU is still messed up because of this. This was the worst experience I've had with any mechanic/tech. Never ever go here. Try the Jiffy Lube on Abrego street in Monterey where the staff is friendly and courteous. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Slowest service ever. 1 hour for an Oil Change when we were 1 of 2 cars in the entire place being serviced on. Car is ready. No one comes out to tell us. I go in and ask. Horrible customer service. Horrible understanding of communication. A simple "Ma'am you're car will be done within the next 10-15 minutes" would have given them at least two more stars. It's not rocket science (It's Jiffy Lube.) Well this was the worst service ever. Almost all employees I encountered were rude, with the exception of the guy taking my money. The man taking my "order" barked for me to come to his location down a short hallway three times. I guess my being on crutches was a great inconvenience for him. Less than 30 seconds elapsed for me to get my stuff together and start hopping his way. As I'm grabbing my crutches I say, "seriously?" His reply was, "I'm just saying Mam". What the hell does that mean??? When I told him that their estimate of cost for an oil change was too much and that I would go elsewhere, he said that he could take $10 off the total. Great, so I asked for him to go ahead with the work. Then he hands me an estimate to sign that is a lot more money than we had just agreed that I would pay. So I asked him to write on the form that there would be a $10 discount when they were finished. He was furious that I would actually ask for this to be in writing. After having just finished reading other Yelp reviews from this location about charging for services not authorized I didn't think my request was out of line. Oh, and what's up with an estimated cost for such a small service? Everywhere else I have ever gone has a set price for oil changes, not an estimated cost for such a service. I have been here several times and have had fine service. However this last time they made a mistake that I just cannot overlook. They neglected to tighten the cap on the oil tank after draining it. I realized my car was leaking oil at an alarming rate and had to seek out a mechanic open on a Sunday. I was slightly horrified to discover the reason for the leak was an unfastened cap on the oil tank. To me, tightening that particular cap is Oil Change 101. This is my third and final time getting my oil changed here. It's convenient, because it's right around the corner from my house, but it's takes a good 20-30 minutes to get any service. It's really hard to understand the technician when he mumbles. I needed three explanations to understand this dude. I totally get street lingo and slang, but this is on a totally different level. Also the services here aren't like the ones in the Bay Area. I will need to plan my future changes when I go up north. The other Jiffy Lube across town, you do have to wait, but the tech's there seem to have better communication skills. read more

I have been here few time. I always read these reviews on here and it's always mixed. I never had a problem with these guys and the upsell of overpriced products is normal everywhere, I just say no thanks and they don't hassle me with it. I usually pay about 25 bucks for an oil change for Camry and just paid 72 flat for full synthetic on my Ford Expedition, They seem to accept my coupons hassle free as well. Yep a plus also is free coffee. Best time is going on a weekday right in the morning in and out in about 25min. I been there on weekend it took about 1hour. The 'mechanic' was rude, the shop layout is bizarre and unwelcoming, the clerk that took my money kept trying to ring me up for an upgrade of some sort or other, and they left the bloody oil filter in the engine. Unusual customer service, however this is my default oil changing place. Thanks to Yelp I scored $10 off with a check-in deal so no complaints there. They told me my car was leaking oil in random places so I took myself out to the car to watch them do everything. I asked specifically what I should do or watch for and the guy said that it's their job to notify the owner of anything noticeable but that I didn't have to worry because it would take a while for the "leaking" to cause real damage. I've been to this location twice for an oil change since moving to Seaside from Minneapolis. Both times, the service was quick, friendly, and low pressure. I called ahead to get their hours and Tonga was super friendly and courteous on the phone. I was in and out in no time, and I saved $10 on my oil change to boot. They did not do their "safety inspection," only checked the air in 2 tires and didn't offer any info on the current state of our oil or give us any options regarding oil filters. 4 of the employees had an interesting argument next to us about the correct air pressure for another vehicle. Love this place. Excellent service! I went there yesterday after they were closed. The clock in my van was not adjusted to daylight savings so I didn't realize that they were closing. Mark the manager smiled when I explained my error and said it was no problem. The attendants that were busy cleaning up, stopped what they were doing and gave my vehicle the works. I was watching and they didn't cut any corner or rush through the job. They also didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. Mark said to keep an eye on my windshield wiper blades because they were starting to wear out a bit. I wasn't rushed in anyway and they all thanked me for my business. I had a 'check engine' light come on my vehicle - so I took it to Jiffy Lube in Monterey (Fremont St) and they checked it for free (they even wrote down the code)! Before that - I had taken my vehicle to Marina Tire and Auto Repair (in Marina, CA), and they wanted $80 to run the test (they hook up a hand-held machine and read the code). I've been going to this location for about 10 years and all I can say is this location is by far the best around. Very kind and helpful service technicians and easy on the wallet. You won't have any problems as long as you understand the workers there aren't mechanics and are going to recommend services they can provide based on their Jiffy Lube corporate controlled maintenance schedule. This shouldn't be confused with your vehicles actual service schedule,... which you should know and follow. Don't use Jiffy Lube for that sort of thing,... think of them more as a booster shot.... Also, bring your own oil and filter and you'll get more quality out of their service. For a guy like me without a garage, it's great. I buy my own oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, etc and they slap it on for me and charge me labor only and dispose of my oil and dirty parts. Works really well for me! read more

They tried to take me for $$$ Drove up and told the guy I wanted an oil change and a new oil filter. Five mins later I see them draining my radiator. Then the guy walks in and shows me my air filter. (tells me it needs replacing and tells me my radiator is full of gunk and needs to be washed out). I did not ask them to check my air filter or drain my radiator. And I see two guys inside my car vacuuming and washing my windows. WTF? Shows me an estimate for $195.50 most of which is for labor. I did not need or wanted that shit. And as I was sitting there...they did the same thing to the next four people that walked in. And they don't do it so other people will see or hear...they have three different stations or computers they use. The guy showed me what was needed inside the office while two other people were taken outside and shown on the garage computer...and two on a computer in the back office. And all of us were shown our air filter and all five of us were told we needed new ones. I sat there and asked the four other people what they were there for...all four just wanted an oil change. One lady was in the group of us and here estimate was for $285. It's a scam they are working...beware !!! read more

Brought my truck in for oil change, waited over an hour and when they were done the tech states "your oil pan threads were stripped and the plug was too big". This is the first and last time anyone other than Ford will touch my vehicle. I now have a slow drip coming from the oil pan that wasn't there when I brought it in today. Used this place for a few recent oil changes. Enjoyed the free coffee and interior vacuuming. However, I noticed that my oil light would come on frequently after using this place. (My oil light never turn on). I suspect they may be shorting us on oil which is why I no longer use them. read more
