I stood at the counter for 10 minutes with an employee going on and out, then talking to another person, looking at me standing there, doing front desk work etc. Pretty much avoiding me. I was literally standing there wanting to give the company money, but apparently they don't want money. I will not go back. A message to the owner! Do you want money? Then how about having your employees acknowledging the existence of customers. You just let a paying customer walk out the door all because your employees don't want your business to succeed. read more

I went in for a simple oil change. While conducting this routine procedure the technician drained my transmission instead. Over two hours later they solved it after having to go to an auto parts store to buy the transmission fluid. I put full synthetic oil in my car and even after $25 off for the inconvenience the bill was still $75. I will not be a return customer. read more

Showed up a few minutes after opening to get in and out oil change and no one was there. Waited for 15 minutes and store never opened. Contacted store via email and never heard an apology or explanation. Won't be going back because previous service they failed to check tire pressure and I had to return 2 days later when warning light came on. I had my oil changed today. They were very fast and courteous. When I pulled up they told me there were two people ahead and the wait would be about 20 minutes. I didn't call ahead or anything. I waited about 10 minutes and then they were done 10 minutes later. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Oil change on 1/21 took over two hours to get done because the technicians had called off from work. The owner was doing everything himself. His attitude was very positive and he managed to help more than 5 customers during the time I was waiting. I appreciated his professionalism and I noticed that he cut no corners. My car was serviced and I was treated as if it had been business as usual. read more

These guys are still open and as professional as ever. I even prefer the drive-through service, I never had to leave my car. Just know where your hood release handle is in your car before you drive up. read more

THEY FORGOT TO PUT THE OIL BACK IN MY CAR!!!! They were so rude about the situation too. When I left and my oil light came on I figured something was wrong and they told me my sensor was broken and that I needed to have it looked at by a mechanic. Didn't even offer to check to make sure the cap was on or that THEY PUT OIL IN !!!! I had to demand that they check and when they finally agreed and realized what they did they were not even apologetic. Awful don't go here. I did get a refund but believe me not worth all the rudeness and hassle. read more

I have been bringing my jeep to this jiffy lube for two years. I brought it to my mechanic because I heard a strange noise from the front wheels. He asked where I have been bringing my jeep for oil changes. He said that they should have been greasing my ball joints. Now, I'm replacing both. Also, they removed my air filter without asking. These guys really helped me out in a jam when a different JL gave me a bad oil change. They found the issue and fixed the problem at no cost to me, since there was no way that I could get back to the offending station. I have continued to return and am always pleasantly greeted and remembered. They are awesome and very clean. read more

After my visit to Jiffy Lube in Mount Prospect today, here are three reasons I'll never go back and why you shouldn't go at all. 1. Inappropriate wait times A basic oil change took an hour to complete despite only two cars in the three service bays when I arrived. These guys were operating in slow motion. Seriously. You could have timed them with a calendar. 2. Dishonest upselling After 45 minutes, I was told my car required synthetic oil and asked which option I preferred -- the $60 version or the $90 version. The car is a 2009 Volvo with nearly 90,000 miles. It has never had synthetic oil. Ever. I would have preferred to have been asked what I wanted instead of being lied to about what I needed. I went with the basic $40 Pennzoil. And you know what? I think I'll be OK. Basic Pennzoil has served me well now for more than 40 years. 3. Lack of professionalism Instead of a decal with the approximate date and mileage of my next oil change, someone taped a handwritten note with future service details on what appears to be a piece of cash register receipt paper to my windshield. Really? You know, anyone can have a bad day and I could give these guys another shot if it weren't for one thing -- the complete indifference they exhibited to me and the customers piling up in their waiting room. It is easy enough to find places that are competent, service-oriented, and customer focused, but this place, at least today, was none of those things. There are plenty of better options out there. It is worth looking for them and avoiding these guys altogether. read more

This place sucks it's expensive,takes a long time and they try to push extra services. Altimate auto is down the road and much better. They tell you What you really need and what's actually going on with your car. I will not go back. read more

If I could give this place a 1/2 star I would. I am a consistent customer of grease monkey but needed an oil change on my way home from work so I stopped here. Big mistake. First off. I waited almost 1 hour in the waiting room before anyone even spoke to me. And mind you the waiting room is FREEZING!!!!! There were only 2 cars in the garage and it took them almost an hour to even talk to me and say we will be right with you or give me a wait time. Secondly. Once my car was finally looked at I had a kid, who did not have a clue what he was doing, tell me I needed a more expensive $80 to be exact oil change and tnar was my only option I usually pay $30. And also tried to get me to purchase a laundry list of extra services. If I would have gone with everything he recommended I would have spent close to $1000. Then after talking to me he started my oil change. I have now been at this place for 2 hours. And there is only 1 other car in the garage. I will NEVER be coming back to this place. It is cold, slow, and the staff is not personable or professional. I will from now on drove out of my way to go to a grease monkey, which I should have done in the first place. read more

I was in between oil changes so I rang Jiffy Lube on Rand Road and Mark answered. Mark filled up my antifreeze, no charge and I was out the door in 5 minutes. He did it with a smile. Johan Van Deusen was exceptional last night. My AC was not working on a 90 degree day. I showed up just before closing and he was happy to help me. He worked on my car for more than an hour after closing. He kept his promise to get my car fixed that night regardless of how long it took. Very dishonest. Really try to push products you don't need. How many times do you think I'm going to fall for "You need a new filter." Really because I just got one the last oil change. It seems I only need a new filter when I go to this Jiffy Lube. And don't get me started on the "You need the synthetic oil for more money when we advertise a $40 oil change. And last but not least the wait time. Seriously what are you guys doing under there that it takes 45 minutes for simple oil change when no one else is there. This place is full of scammers. HORRIBLE!!! After going to them for 7 years they recommended to use a different oil. ( thinking hey they are the experts I went with it). Well after them not filling up my oil enough and using the wrong blend my engine blew!! It gets better. After contacting Heartland which is in Texas and owns Jiffy Lube takes my SUV to a " local mechanic" they use, inspects my car they find no oil leaks I wasn't over my miles in fact I had 1700 more miles before I needed a new oil change showing them my owners manual that 5w20 only oil is to be used in my car not 5w30 and having a written letter by the Lincoln dealership themselves say you can not use a thicker blend oil or you will blow a bearing they still DENIED MY CLAIM WITH NO VALID REASON! I now have to take them to small claims court. This had been a complete nightmare I had to buy a new car that wan NOT in my budget and of did I mention my engine blew while on vacation in Wisconsin which I spent $900 to tow my car back home! Here is something to be said for small business owners and NOT what corporate America had become! The only time you will see me Jiffy Lube/Heartland is in court!!! read more

I don't expect much from customer service at a jiffy lube but this location consistently falls way short. Two visits ago I had them install a headlight which now points way off to the right so that it lights up the neighborhood yards instead of the street in front of me... on this last visit I spoke with every technician who talked to me about what I wanted to have done today only to find that they had not corrected their error. I would recommend driving one mile in any direction and finding a different Jiffy Lube. read more

I attempted to change my own oil and the filter was stuck. Drove the car there on a Sunday afternoon. They removed the old filter in a couple of minutes and all I had to do was give the tech a small tip. These guys are helpful and courteous. read more

Had a horrible experience! I had to wait for over an hour, and they weren't able to work on my car. They did not have the correct tool to take off the plug on my BMW. I would have appreciated them telling me upfront, instead of making me wait that long. Horrible customer service!!! read more

Well, they got the job done. It was a lot pricier than I expected. Over $100 for a synthetic oil change. They didn't have very good customer service, but I appreciated that they didn't try to sell me on a bunch of stuff I didn't need. If they offer some synthetic oil change coupons, I'd be back. Horrible service. The Jiffy Lube in Chicago had no issues with resetting my car's computer to indicate next oil change. Looked at my car like it was a space ship. Girl kept saying I would have to go to dealership to have oil interval reminder set. Don't go here. read more

Went to this location to get my oil changed since it's convenient and close to my house. All was well. I paid and the service was quick, until my car started making funny noises a few days later. So I took it to a body shop that is a bit out of the way, but family owned, so I knew I could trust it. After looking at my car I was informed that my oil was in fact not changed. I quite literally got hustled by these guys. Do not go to this location. read more

Just had the most frustrating experience. My 22 year old daughter took her car in for a fluid top off and head light change. They changed her oil and told her she needed a new air filter (which they say they would never tell a customer they needed anything - so let's say strongly implied). That same location had just put a new air filter on 8,000 miles ago - to me this is dishonest. In addition, when they changed the air filter they forgot to hook up some sensor that caused the car to stop working about 4 days later. We thought something was seriously wrong with the car so took it to a mechanic who then found the sensor laying across the engine, nowhere near being hooked up. To top it all off, they didn't call me back when I initially called to tell them about the situation. I finally stopped by in person and was basically told that I needed to bring the car to them first if I wanted any mechanic cost reimbursed and then I was told that they did nothing wrong by showing my daughter the air filter because they didn't tell her she needed a new one (supposedly). Don't like mechanics who take advantage of young women. Will never use Jiffy Lube again. read more
