There is nothing Jiffy about this place. Hard up-selling and the most inefficient process I have ever witnessed. I just got back after a 2 hour wait for an oil change. After the hard up-sell for multiple services I did not want, I sat there watching as customers with cars in front of me were approached over and over to up sell their services. For the people who decided to give in to the pressure, the employees were sent to another location to pick up parts for those services! So cars sat in the bay while employees drove around town to pick up the parts. Unbelievably inefficient process that I couldn't believe I was actually witnessing their bay employees standing around waiting for the others to return. I listened time after time to the scare tactics they used on the others, bringing dirty parts in to demonstrate how concerned they were if they didn't agree to the up sells. I instructed them to not attempt more up selling to me and when my car was ready to be serviced to perform the oil change and let me be on my way. That was the only efficiency I witnessed today. read more

Won't ever go into this place again. They basically lied to me. The charged me for new air filters and they never replaced them. Also, they never even touched my fluids. They changed my oil, but didn't bother adding any wiper fluid and they told me my coolant needed to be 'topped off'. When I went home to fill it, that's when I saw it was complete empty. I've never run out of wiper fluid before in my life. I also asked them to adjust the throttle and they didn't do a thing. Won't go to this location again. read more

Incompetence is one thing but these people outright lied to me and another customer right to our faces. The worker showed me what was supposedly my dirty air filter, urging me to replace it. When I said, "no, thank you" she turned around to the customer next to me and showed them the exact same air filter claiming it was theirs and that they need a replacement as well. On top of that, it took about twice as long as it should to finish my routine oil change. I also saw them pulling the air filter trick and a few other things on a mother who was obviously in a hurry. After nicely explaining she didn't have time or money for anything more than what she originally came in for, they continued to push her until she had to get angry with them. It's apparent that this location would rather exploit, delay, trick, and lie to their customers than offer the bare minimum. read more

Second time at this location and both experiences have sucked. After 2 days and less then 75 miles my car is empty on oil because someone didn't put a simple gasket in. The employees are more worried about their smoke breaks then helping customers. And at the end of it all you get the added bonus of your car smelling like cigarettes. **Started off this review off with 5 stars but by the end I had to deduct 3** Pulled in and the young man who helped me was awesome! Definitely appreciated him coming up to the car with directions and guiding me to the waiting area. As I waited and got distracted with other things, I realized after some time that it was almost an hr and that ppl who were there before me still were waiting so I got up to stand in line. The guy who was at the cashier was helping an older man and his caregiver but didn't seem to notice the line behind him. I get that you're answering questions about his brakes and trying to make him understand why his bill was high - but when I see no sense of urgency - that tends to annoy me. Plus, the man who had questions abt his brakes also noticed his car was parked outside and decided to go stand in line..that's when I noticed mine was parked outside too...idk what the cashier guy was doing bug he wasn't calling out names ...another wth factor. Also, I appreciate that they vacuumed my car and cleaned the inside but why did I see a guy wiping windows on another sports car? I know that mine were def not cleaned & dislike inconsistency & the fact that I noticed that they hadn't put up the sticker with the reminder for the next oil change bugged me too. That's a pet peeve! Then when I went inside to tell the cashier he says his machine isn't working and after I ask if he absolutely can't do anything abt it- he writes the mileage sloppily on the sticker..dude, you guys couldn't do that right off the back? And with the service date? Little details like that are everything and reflect on how the guys here do their job. Obviously if they're forgetting things like this, they may be just bs'ing everything else. Definitely need to get it together @ this location. read more

Jiffy Lube Fails to tighten back lug nuts A couple of weeks after having my wheels rotated at the Jiffy Lube 12th Ogden, I found I had a wobbly wheel. When I stopped, I found that 2 of the 5 lug nuts were missing. I took my car to Sterling Auto in Eden UT, and the mechanic there said none of the back lug nuts were tightened properly. When I went back to Jiffy Lube, the manager refused to make me whole. Instead, he said I failed to come back to get them re-tightened, and it was my fault. But the Sterling mechanic said Jiffy Lube was at fault. This could have been catastrophic if I had lost a wheel going up or down the Powder Mountain or 12th St canyons. I will never go back to Jiffy Lube again! read more

This is by far the slowest shop I've ever been too, 3 oil changes in front of me and 3 hours later I finally get my car up to the bay, they say I can leave my key in the car and go take a seat. Soon as I go inside the car that was behind me gets pulled into the bay and my car was simply moved out of the way. The whole time I've only talked to 2 different people for a grand total of less then 20 words shared. Go to Jiffy Lube in south Ogden instead nothing negative about them! read more

Steer clear of this Jiffy Lube. They will upsell you every single time, trying to sell you services you truly don't need. I went in to have a leak checked out and they said it was a $760 oil pan gasket. The very next day after paying for the gasket it was still leaking profusely. I took it back to have them look at it and they told me it was the transmission that was leaking. If that was the case, why did they recommend replacing a gasket that was probably fine? Avoid this Jiffy Lube at all costs. Take your vehicle to a "real" mechanic and avoid having these amateurs recommending services you do not need. The manager Cody is the one spearheading their little con game. He should be fired. read more

Horrible!!! Went in for an oil change in June. A tech put in an "eco " plug and then when it didn't fit? Put a bunch of poxy glue on it to hold it in. Now it's leaking oil. Since then I've moved down south. Haven't driven much. No jiffy lube here will touch it. Eric at this location said it was a mistake & the regional would reimburse for the repair. . Issac, the regional called & said he wasn't confident that nobody else touched it & my car was "older". Also pointed out I wasn't charged for this!! And... at the time of service? Didn't mention a word of this!! When I asked specifically if poxy glue was part of their standards, he said he didn't know.!!! Said he was denying the claim . They did change my oil, which is the only thing I paid for...but they tried to get me to do all of these other things telling me I had too or my car was gonna die on me. They wanted me to pay $1000+ for car maintenance that didn't need to be done, but told me it had to be. Was traveling through Utah when my engine light started flashing and all 6 of my cylinders were misfiring. Took it here to get the ignition coils and spark plugs replaced. After waiting for 6 hours and paying $750, the cylinders misfired again an hour down the road. Stopped at another jiffy lube in Amarillo to take a look at it and turns out Mikey (Mechanic who worked on my car) only replaced one of 6 ignition coils and broke all 6 of the clips on the coil pack harnesses. He decided to use ZIP TIES to fasten them. Even if it was already zip tied like than (Which it wasn't) he didn't tell us or note it at all. At the Jiffy lube in Amarillo they told me as soon as they saw it. It seems obvious in hindsight but, if you need anything other than a tune up or an oil change, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS JIFFY LUBE!! read more

This place is horrible. They saw my license plate and asked me if I was from out of town, then billed me almost $100 for an oil change in a sedan... Really? I decided to let it go until the engine sounded different. I checked it and realized that it was still almost a quart low. They also charged $8 to top off the coolant that was "really low"... it wasn't. Stay away. read more

First off the manager who was who assisted me was rude and talked to me as if I was dumb, he refused to tell me details and show me things instead he would talk to my boyfriend and show him.... also when I picked my car up I noticed a syringe on the ground at the bays. On top of that I did an oil change and a full flush and a top off on all fluids since then my car now overheats while idling. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here EVER! read more

I am from out of town and am on a cross country road trip. I stopped in for an oil change and because something was up with my brakes. The techs took the time to figure out what was wrong with my brakes, and the manager Cody explained everything to me clearly so I understood what was happening. As I pulled in, one of the technicians was immediately by my car to welcome me and asked me what I needed.
