I'm convinced they killed my old Acura Legend. I used to come in here for the standard oil change, of course back in the day, I new nothing of the basics of car maintenance, so when they would recommend a service I went for it. Better safe than sorry, right? WRONG! One day I was driving and the transmission just died on me. Just like that. I have AAA, so they towed it to my local auto shop, and the dude said it needed a new transmission. 1500 dollars out the window. I'm positive that the services that were supposed to keep the car running had something to do with it. Maybe it really didn't need those excessive engine/transmission/oil flushes. You don't expect a lot when you go to a jiffy lube. I went to this one on walnut in Pasadena because it was the only one out of 4 called in the San Gabriel valley who were equipped to recharge an a/c. The techs Angel and Rahad were amazing they quoted me 45 minutes it didn't feel that long and they kept coming in to check on me and update me on how much longer it would be. The guy at the front desk was really friendly and chatty all while cleaning the lobby area. I wasn't sure if my service was eligible for a coupon but Richard was very accommodating and I didn't have any problem using my coupon. They even checked my tire pressure. I've never been to such a good jiffy lube. They went above and beyond for me. I'd give them 10 stars if I could A+++ read more

Ok so MR. cool tattoo guy had a bit of a tude when I 1st pulled in most of woke him up. Bad start. What ever, I needed my oil changed. 2 days after my service my "low coolant" message light came on. I returned to JL and told them I just got my oil done and how my light low coolant lite came on. The workedr told me.... "oh ya, we charge $3.99 too top off your coolant" I asked if they even checked it? They said "probably but to refill it it cost $3.99" I asked them why nobody told me it was even low or offered me to charge me and refil it?? All 3 workers looked at me blankly. I said a heads up would have been nice. Still the blank stare. Won't be back to this place of wakness. *** Hey Jiffy Lube you need some customer service / training classes at this location. Walmart people. They won't refill your coolant but at least they let you know if it's low. read more

DO NOT COME HERE - THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SHAM! Came here for what I thought was an oil change and new air filter, per Mr. Tattoo's recommendations - total invoice was a hefty $65. FIVE WEEKS later, my "Change Oil" light came on. So I took it to my trusted mechanic who told me that the oil levels were seriously low. That it needed at least 2 more quarts of oil. He changed my oil and said that it came out like sludge -- said that it did not appear as though the oil had been changed 5 weeks ago. So......THANKS FOR NOTHING JIFFY LUBE. I got $65 worth of a hot mess of nothing. Not only that - when Jiffy Lube says they top off all fluids, it's a total lie. My mechanic said that a lot of fluids were low. This place is rightfully called Jiffy Lube -- they're lubing customers where the sun don't shine. read more

I arrived at the shop around 7:30am. No one was in the bay. I waited for about 5 minutes for someone to come outside. Which never happened. I went inside and the office appeared empty. Walked around to the front counter and there was a service tech sitting in a chair playing Candy Crush Saga. He still didn't acknowledge me, until I said excuse me very loudly. I've been here a few times and never had any problems. Every jiffy lube and other place like it are going to try to sell (recommend) you something. It's part of their job to try and sell you something else besides the oil change. It can be annoying but it's something you just deal with or you can go somewhere else. Some people are gullible and fall into whatever it is they are trying to get you to purchase. Go in knowing a little bit about your car and what you may really need at the moment and what can wait. I've always had a pleasant experience here. I'm always in and out within 30mins or less if no one is ahead of me. Don't forget to look for coupons on the website or any check in deals. The whole point you go to one of these is for fast service. Not for the prices or the expertise. Thus, with about 20 minutes in between important meetings, I called them to see if they were free to take me. I called 3 times and the phone rang, and rang, and rang. Nobody answered. I rolled the dice and went there and was happy to see they were free to take me immediately. I asked how long it would take since I was in a rush, and they said 10 minutes. Perfect! so I went and waited. 10 minutes passed. 20 minutes passed. 25 minutes passed and I can see nobody was working on my car. Finally I went outside and asked someone what the issue was. They told me they were out of air filters and had to drive over to O'reily auto parts to buy it and come back! Can you believe that?? You are an oil change place. You need oil and filters in stock always!! Worst part is nobody told me or asked me if it was ok since it would take so long. At that point I had no choice since they were in the middle of the job already. I waited more and after 45 minutes my car was finally done. I missed my meeting. David was very kind and talked me through everything they would be doing. He even reminded me to get my tires rotated, which I had been putting off for a while. He was even kind and courteous when I was not being the best customer and talking on my phone while checking out. Pretty disappointed in my experience here after having several wonderful experiences in a row here. Sadly, I won't be coming back to this location. They speak to women in a very condescending manner, which kind of threw me and I should have said something, but I didn't. Then, when I was given the price point, it was way higher than it's ever been before and I realized that I had a coupon but before I even had a chance to mention it or use it, the guy had already run the transaction to get me out of there as quick as possible... that's what it felt like at least. Plus normally they ask me what kind of oil I would like, and not just make an assumption, but they didn't like they usually do. normally I would just let something like that go, but I was so bugged because I've had good experiences there before that I called to say something to which I then got belittled even more, and was given a half assed apology "It's your fault for not saying some thing in the moment" true, but calling, and saying something, so it doesn't happen to future patrons or to me again, is a legit. So I stopped here on my lunch break because its close to my work but was rather put off by the reviews. I actually told the guy when I drove up that this place is hated on yelp. He gave me his name (Josh) and asked me to review. So, in full disclosure, I may have received excellent service for this reason :) I printed a coupon from their website for $15 which is great because I always get synthetic oil. It's way more expensive than regular oil but my dad says its better. One should always listen to dad! Right off the bat, Josh said my air filter and spark plugs looked new. The only fluid needing a top off was my washer fluid. Yeah... I pretend that stuff washes me car. In the end I was informed of some leaks i didn't know about which is so great. They don't do repairs there but now I can tell my mechanic. All in all the whole thing took less than 20 minutes. They even check tire pressure and vacuum the inside. Yay! And they will top off fluids (except coolant) in between oil changes for free. read more

I pulled up this past Saturday thinking that my hubby and I would have to go walk around the neighborhood or somehow entertain ourselves for at least an hour while we waited for our car light to be fixed. The place was packed. We rolled in and a nice gentleman started working on my car right away. 10 minutes later he was done and we were back on the road. Woo hoo! I had a voucher from the Jiffy Lube Heartland lawsuit for $17 towards services so the light change was about $24.99 regularly...with the voucher and tax, I paid only $9.99 :) The lounge seemed big with magazines, coffee and TV. Came in on a Wednesday morning around 10am and I was the only one there. I felt like I barely waited before the oil change was done. Richard rang me up and he was super friendly as was the rest of the crew. The coupon they accept here from Yelp was great too! I was surprised to know that they also vacuumed out my car and washed my windows. I've been to Jiffy Lube stations before but that was new to me. Such great service! Headed in for a much needed oil change. I pulled up and was greeted with a prompt, "hello!" I needed the works and was quickly forwarded into the system with a couple perks from my Yelp check-in offer!! Woop!! Patrick was very nice and understanding. The services, high mileage oil change and a tire rotation, were all under 30 minutes (with all the other minimal perks they offer: vacuuming, windows, etc.) I just want to mention the courteousness they showed me when I had payment issues. Which we all experience once in a blue moon. Realizing I had only cash and no card, and having been a long time customer, it was a tremendous help to receive assistance from other coupons they offered. Updated review: my oil light kept coming on and when I checked it, it was bone dry. I got the oil changed about a month ago. It should not be bone dry. They must have forgotten to put oil back in my car. No wonder it was done so quickly. I may now have permanent engine damage because of them. My advice is to ALWAYS ask to see the oil level in your car after an oil change. It should be at the full dot at the top. Very disappointed. Wonderful place. I had a bad experience just minutes prior down the street. I needed an oil change on a budget. They helped me find a coupon and had me in and out in under 20 mins. This was a great experience! First of all there was no wait time, I pulled right in and was helped right away. Second, I went to a different place first attempting to get my oil fixed and unfortunately when I got my last oil change (in LV) they stripped my drain plug. So the first place told me there was nothing else they can do to change my oil and turned me away. So glad I came to Jiffy Lube, the guys ran into the same problem but instead of turning me away they found an alternate way to help me. Matthew was awesome and a pleasure helping me, not only with my oil change but I ended up getting my radiator coolant changed as well. I will definitely come here for all services they provide! THE WORST. They told me my battery was no good. So, I bought one from them. Well, just in case I kept the old battery and had them put it in the back of my car (much to their dismay). I took it right over to the battery testing place and low and behold, they told me my battery was perfect! No need to change it. So I went back and had them re install my battery and give me a credit for the new one...what a hassle. So I ask the guy...what is the deal with trying to rob people who are your customers....he bull***** me and tells me that its a "recommendation"...what a bunch of crapola! DON'T GO! Went there today. They were out of 10-30 oil. What?! Really? Anyway, $45 for a basic oil change is way too much anyway. Do yourself a favor and go right across the street to the Walnut-Hill car wash. They will wash your car AND do an oil change for $32! That takes "Signature Service" to a whole new level. Wish I would have found this before getting the oil done at the other Jiffy Lube on Colorado. I am seriously going to find somewhere else to do my changes in the future. UPDATED 8-21-12: After the passage of time I regret giving these guys 1 star and changed it to three. They were indeed out of a very basic oil and inconvenienced me, but overall probably run a decent business. Just not one that I will be returning to. Peace. read more

I was never a fan of Jiffy Lube until I moved to Pasadena. Driving to Cerritos to service my KIA was becoming a hassle that I didn't want to tackle, especially over the summer. Not trying to be in traffic to have my car be held for over an hour for a simple oil change. Took a leap of faith, drove into Jiffy Lube one morning and never looked back. I mean I did (I'm a great driver), but you know what I mean. Always greeted with a smile and the manager Richard is always upfront in terms of what's going on with your car. Service is quick and efficient. Need your oil changed? Keep it simple. Visit my dudes at Jiffy Lube off Walnut St and you'll be outta there in a 15-20 minutes tops! This particular location is the best. This is my second time going to this location. Years ago I had a very bad experience & stopped going. The location is so convenient & easy to get other things done in the vicinity so I tried it again. There is a young man, WALTER, who I'm glad to see just got promoted that convinced me to return. Walter is so polite & personable. Walter can flip a bad day into a good one. He has a infectious smile that's real & makes things go smoothly.
