I drove into this Jiffy lube a couple weeks ago to service my older Toyota T100, as I do every few months but this time was a little different... It was late on a Saturday, about 1/2 hour before closing so I didn't expect much in terms of smiles and enthusiasm but I've always gotten good service so I did expect that. However, as soon as I pulled up to the bay I greeted by the Service Manager, David A., with a warm hello and customer centered attitude. David did a great job explaining exactly what him and his team did, what services I needed and the options I had. I was not pressured into service I didn't need and was back on the road with a happy truck. As long as I'm in Pasadena, I will always return to this Jiffy Lube location. Great job guys! read more

I hate getting my oil changed. I know very little about cars, so everytime I go to get service I feel like I am being ripped off and everything takes forever - BUT this was the most painless experience getting my oil changed! Not only did they take my car right away and get started quickly, they said my car was in great condition and I did not require anything besides the standard oil change (aka I didnt feel like I was being sold anything additional to the great service and quick oil change). THEY LEFT A PAIR OF PLIERS IN MY ENGINE and they didn't even offer me compensation. A bunch of snake oil salesmen who only care about your taking your money. I went here and got sold on all the extra fuel and engine flushes in addition to the standard oil change. Upon leaving my car started making a strange rattling noise. I went back a few weeks later to get them to fix it and they went immediately into denial mode even trying to blame the noise on me. They wouldn't even look under the car. I took it to LTS Master Tech down the block and they found a pair of Jiffy Lube pliers hanging from my engine rattling against the car's axl. I went back to Jiffy Lube, gave them back their pliers and all they said was "Oh we've been looking for these!" Not one shred of apology or compensation. Those tools ain't cheap and I didn't have to bring it back! All they offered me was an unspecified discount on my next oil change. I asked for a free oil change and they said "What for?" I will never go here again. The way they treat their customers is slimier than the oil they change. read more

Everything would have been fine if I could trust they did what they said they did on the receipt. I know for a fact they never checked my tire pressure, because I watched. I'm pretty sure they replaced my oil filter, but who knows if it was a new unused one??? They did not report anything about my low brake fluid either. If they say they do stuff that they 100% did not do, then how can they be trusted for anything they do, especially since they've been busted many times at many different locations for doing horrible things like not changing the oil filters, not replacing ALL of the oil, showing a bad air filter instead of the real one that is still okay, Etc... read more

When I showed up to get an oil change, I told the guy that the air pressure light on my dash board was indicating my tires were low and asked if they would check that. "No problem" he said, "we'll check it out." (They claim to check the air pressure regardless of having to ask.) Cool! About 40-minutes later, they called me and let me know my car was ready to go. I asked the guy specifically, while still on the phone, "did you check the air in my tires." He said, "yes, we made sure all the tires now have 33 psi." Perfect! A few minutes later, I returned to their store to pay and get my car. I asked the woman ringing me up about the tires, and she noted on the form (see attached picture) that all four tires were now at 33 psi. Another guy behind the counter chimed in and said it would take several miles of driving for the tire light to go off. Great! I had three separate people assure me that they looked at the tires. I left and I drove around. The light never went off. Later at home, my tires still looked low. I busted out my own tire gauge and tested the pressure myself. My front left tire was almost 50 psi (way too high) and both right side tires were just above 20 psi (way too low)! (See the attached picture of the tire gauge, on the valve stem, showing the low pressure!) At multiple points both verbally and in writing, these people lied to me, and I have caught them!! I went to a gas station and filled the tires myself, to the appropriate levels. Within five minutes the tire light went off on my dash. There is just no mitigating this. They lied about their work and are now, in my mind, totally un-credible! I will absolutely never go there again! read more

So this Saturday I go and have an oil change on my Lexus IS250. Took them about an hour which is fine. After I paid them $102.00 for other bs fees jeffy lube usually tacks on, they told me my car was ready. I get in my car drive home which is about 1.5 miles away if even that. Get home and I look for my car keys. I cannot find it. I tear my car apart looking for my keys. I looked under the seats in every little compartment, in the truck of my car. NOTHING. So I call Jiffy Lube back and ask them where they put my car keys. After im passed around from hand to hand, the manager "Mark" gets on the phone and says "Geez Guys, cmon guys" He turns around and tells me one of his employees left the keys to my car on the roof of my car. I dont know how I got home without my car turning off. BUT WHICH IDIOT LEAVES THE KEYS TO THE CAR ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR!!!!! As if this isnt enough, He then has the nerve to ask me when I can come back and pick up my keys. A) You have my only keys how do you expect me to drive back and pick up my car keys. B) You F'd up and now you are asking me to come back to the shop to pick up my keys? The so called manager "Mark" said: "Well sir, I cant have any of my guys drop off your keys any time soon because we are really busy at the moment. I said well "Mark" Its my birthday today, I have guest coming over so I need my car to go do shopping. He kept on using the same excuse over and over again and again, sounded like a broken record with no emotions involved. Its raining hard outside, I had to take my 4 month old son with me in the rain, walk about a mile and a half to go pick up my car keys because the IDIOTS left my keys on the roof of my car. Sorry to say it but they are very- incredably- extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR BACK THERE!!!!! There service sucks AND THERE ATTITUDE IS EVEN WORST THEN THERE SERVICE! THEY SUCK AS A COMPANY AS MANAGEMENT AND AS A STAFF!!!! The only good thing that comes out of that shop is the flat screen tv they had with NCAA Basketball on in the waiting room. EVERYTHING ELSE IS TERRIBLE. There service and attitide is bottom of the barrel. I REALLY WISH I COULD GIVE THEM NO STARS FOR MAKING ME AND MY 4 MONTH OLD SON WALK IN THE POORING RAIN. I am giving this location three-stars because the guys were super nice and helpful. I went at 7:30 AM in the morning and I am so glad I did; I was the first customer of the day and I had three guys working on my car. The only reason why I can't give this place more than three is because it is so damn expensive! Everything here costs a fortune because every little detail has a price tag. I know it's the company's way of doing things, but to charge me $63 for an oil change with special oil for cars over 150k is just ridiculous. The only reason I came here is because I didn't have to wait all day at my regular mechanic, but, after this, I think waiting an entire day is worth $24.95. I will admit I am not smart when it comes to cars so I took the guy's word for getting the special oil. He did tell me the price of it and I was floored, but I need to take care of my car since I can't afford a car payment at the moment. However, I am not so sure if it was good choice since places like these push their products by convincing you to purchase products you don't necessarily need. After my service reservation was not honored at another business, I took my car to this Jiffy Lube. I was greeted by Chris who was welcoming and helpful. He listened to my concerns and I received the help I needed. I got an oil change and they checked my steering fluid and hoses. While I need to go somewhere else for attention to my steering fluid hose, they topped off my power steering fluid and reminded my that I can come back for their "top off" service. Walter took care of my bill and asked if I had any further questions. I was on my way within about 30 minutes. After a failed attempt at an appointment at Pep Boys (see review), I came to this familiar face for a quick oil change. They took me right away, and worked on another car at the same time. They were so fast! I was done in less than 10 minutes. They gave me exactly the oil I wanted and had all my info on record. They didn't try to sell me any bogus products but politely suggested possible needs for my car in the future. And they were so nice and friendly. Everything an oil change should be! DO NOT go to this jiffy lube !!! Everything was fine until I got into the car and noticed my washer fluid level is low light is on. Fortunately I hadn't driven away yet. They backed up my car into the bay and filled it. I asked them what else didn't they check and they replied that was it. The entire there was not a word of apology. I had asked them to check my tire pressures and was told its part of the standard check list. Three mile later I drove in a gas station to get gas and checked my tires and found 2 tires were severely low and one was low and one was normal !!! HORRIBLE -- WHST THEY DID COULD HAVE DISTROYED MY CAR!!!! I had rated these guys 5 stars. I appreciated how the people seemed friendly and professional. But I must change it because their job was worse then I EVER could imagine. They loosened my transmission fluid cap and didn't reset it correctly, nor let me know. I don't know a lot about cars and thought the pink fluid i saw on the ground the following day, was overflow (like oil which they've overfilled before). I was on a trip and only stopped there because my oil light turned on. I drove from there to Chandler Arizona and then back to the Bay area. In the bay area, because large puddles of fluids we on the ground ever time I stopped, I finally set up an appointment with a specialized Lexus mechanic. They told me the issue of the regarding the cap. I don't know how my transmission didn't FREEZE up with such a long drive. I called them, let then know what happened and even sent them a copy of the mechanics analysis. I only asked for a refund. They said they weren't responsible, it must have been my fault. REALLY, even with my auto shop's bill and comments? Jesus, the manager, said if I sent an email , he would forward it but don't expect anything from the company. Months later, nothing.
