I took my car to get an oil change. The service was super fast, almost too fast. I felt it was way overpriced. They said the oil change package included them vacuuming the inside and washing my windows. Well vacuuming was crappy and my windows were dirty and had giants spears all over them. I think I will take my car somewhere else next time. read more

Limited experience with this location, but I came here after not great experiences at Wells Branch location. Cody explained immediately that my 2008 Toyota Camry was burning oil due to an engine issue, showed it to me online, tipped off the oil, and let me know I didn't need the oil changed. Dishonest, incompetent, dirty. Do not go here. Places like this are why people distrust mechanics and chains. 1. Dishonest and imcompetent - During a routine oil change, they were "nice" enough to check my A/C for free while they were at it. They told me that the refridgeratant pressure was way too high and that I'd need to get their AC service (about $140) to fix it, else my compressor would wear out and fail, which would cost $600-$800 to replace. I took my car back to where I last had the AC serviced (Kwik Kar southwest), and the told me that the guys at Jiffy Lube were blatantly lying or incompetent, as everything with my AC system was fine. Either the guys at Jiffy Lube were dishonest and trying to con me into extra services (as experienced by other reviewers here), or they were incompetent and didn't know how to check an AC system. Either way, I had to waste another couple hours back at Kwik Kar to confirm the alarmist bs that the guys at this Jiffy Lube tried to dupe me into. 2. Dirty - the tech who changed my oil left oil smudges EVERYWHERE - on the door, on the door handles, on the steering wheel, on the ceiling upholstery, and on the floormats. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to get back to work and didn't notice the mess they left until I drove off, wondering why the steering wheel felt so oily. I found the other grease spots when I checked my car later. Yes, changing oil is messy - but I don't take my car to a professional service center to get it as screwed up as I could have done myself, if I didn't have any rags or sense of decency. This place is by far the most convenient place for me to go to from work - and I will NEVER go back there. read more

I took my car to Jiffy Lube for a simple state inspection. There were only two people ahead of me, but the wait just to talk to someone was twenty minutes. I then had to wait another 45 minutes before the desecration of my car began. The technician looked to be strung out on something and was very jittery. He made more than myself nervous to be around him. When it was finally my turn, he jumped into my car, turned it over, and proceeded to treat it as if it were a rental car. If I had not had the traction control on, the tires would have spun all the way across the parking lot. He then pulled a hard uturn and sped back to the entrance. He pulled the e-brake up one or two notches and then floored it. Because the e-brake did not hold under these circumstances, he failed my car. Try it in your own car...it will fail if you have any semblance of horsepower. While he was running the emissions checks, he decided that it was a good idea to smoke a cigarette next to my car while the windows were open. Now, I am particularly offended by the smoke because of personal values, but I am also a rational person. If you want to smoke, do it. Just not in my car! I spoke to the assistant manager. He was very apologetic and gave me a few dollars off the bill. I just wanted to get out of there before the deranged idiot inspection guy decided that he needed another hit of whatever he was on. I decided it best to contact the Regional Sales Manager to discuss and possibly prevent this from happening to another patron. When he called me back, he was very defensive and told me that is how they inspect cars. He also said he was certified and felt his employee was very capable. I respect that he stood up for his employee. Every boss should do that. What really annoyed me was that he refused to admit that treating someone else's car like trash was acceptable. They told me to bring the car back in once I had the e-brake issue fixed. No freaking way! I called BMW of Austin and scheduled an appointment. This is what I should have done in the first place! They provided me with a Starbucks to drink and a new car to drive while my car was in their shop. Most importantly, they gave me respect and treated me like they valued my business. When they called me to discuss my car, they wanted to know what the guy at Jiffy Lube was on because the car passed with flying colors. As you know, most BMW owners are overly anal about most things, including their cars... me included... Needless to say, I will never take my car back to Jiffy Lube as they do not treat you as a valued customer, nor do they believe it is important to take care of other's property. This had to be one of the worst vehicle experiences I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and don't even wave at the guy when you drive by. read more

I made a recent trip to these guys after receiving one of their discount coupons. Mistake #1. I got there early (8am) to beat the rush and walked in to find an employee walking around in flip-flops. Another bad sign. They got my vehicle in and out fast. I was pleased...until I realized later that they didn't bolt the undercarriage back on properly and it was dragging on the road---and I drive a truck. If they forgot to do this, what other important things did they forget to do? I tried calling them to talk to a supervisor since I didn't have a chance to go back and found that their phone # is their fax machine. More bad business. I'm not sure how a company who does basic services can screw them up so badly. Even the items they claim they'll do for free (vacuum, top off fluids, check and clean this and that) they didn't do. In fact, my vehicle was even more dirty after the fact since there were now oil stains on my door. Very dissatisfied with their service and lack of concern for the customer. Every time I've gone, I've had great service and quick turnaround. Better to go around 2 pm. I started off giving this five starts and now going to three... Last time I went (actually it seems like every time I go) there is something that needs to be changed. They recommend this EVERY time I go for an oil change so my total is usually over 100. It's ridiculous! And I think last time they charged me for something they had done the time before, it just wasn't in their system. Starting to dread going for my oil change. read more

I decided to give this location a second chance because it's just too conveniently located to swear it off forever. I am SO glad I did! If you haven't been since October of 2012, PLEASE give them another chance. I arrived early on a Saturday and was greeted by a friendly man who walked me and my 15 month-old son to the lobby (which was super clean and has new comfy chairs). They showed me where the restrooms were, offered me coffee, and asked if my son would like a balloon (parents of kids this age can appreciate that they asked first, as my daughter would have bit into the thing the moment she got it had she been there). They carefully explained the charges before they performed the work, and got me out of there in no time. I was so impressed, I brought my husband's car back the next day for an oil change and inspection. Once again, I was greeted by another friendly guy who walked me to the lobby (AND opened the door for me, even though I was sanz kid this time). One of the technicians walked in a few minutes later and offered me a donut (Round Rock donuts, no less!). All of this great service compelled me to let the guy who I assumed was the manager (he was) know how AWFUL my past experience was here, and how thoroughly impressed I was by everything this time. He was very happy to hear this, and went on to explain how he took over in October of 2012 and has been trying to turn that location around. I will absolutely be returning to this location for my future car needs, because as I said it's TOO conveniently located not to go there! Every single employee was nothing but amazing. There were four of us waiting in our vehicles waiting for services. The one employee was unmasked and had no idea when the store manager would open for the day. First let me say this place does a good job on oil changes. Prices are a little higher than around the area but they do a good job. This review is all about there space and their ability to keep it clean for their customers. I have been here multiple tunes but only ever had to frequent the restrooms twice. In both cases the bathroom and facilities were disgusting and this last time my five year old had to use them. I had to clean the toilet in order for her to use them. I spoke with the same assistant manager in both cases and in both cases he was SHOCKED. This is a failure of a leader to instill standards in his workforce. I will give them one more chance but if they cannot maintain their own space why would I trust them to maintain my vehicle? read more

If there's one thing that you have to keep up with on your car it's the oil change. This is always what my dad has told me and taught me. I've frequented Jiffy Lubes all over the country because I know that the job will get done and they are pretty consistent. I was really surprised when I came in on a Sunday at about 12:30 and was able to get in and out. The service was quick and the guys were nice. Being a lady I always dread going to take my car in for anything. I either get my husband or dad to do it for me or have them come with me. I have a new trick....I take my dog Samuel and usually they just tell me they are doing and try not to upsell me too much. When I have Samuel with me they don't talk my ear off on what I need to do etc. He's also a great distraction because everyone wants to say hi to him which means minimal talk time for me. Is this bad? Is there a phobia for going to the car shop/garage? If there is I have it. Anyway....they guys were nice and pleasant. They got my oil changed, put air in my tires and checked everything else out that needed to be checked. I would have given a 4 stars but I'm taking off a start because after I got home and my car was sitting in the driveway for a few hours my dad noticed that my tire was low. He had to put air in one of the tires because apparently they didn't put the seal cap on right and it was leaking air. Thank goodness I was driving my car around that afternoon. The last time I was at this location I told myself to never return, Due to staff consisting of what looked like and behaved like high school kids. They couldn't find me from my license plate number or my name in the system which led to having to give them my info all over again just to realize they misspelled everything. I didn't receive a mileage sticker and service was horrible all around. This time that I needed an oil change I decided to give this place another try. Service was 100 times better! Along with my oil change they assisted me with and issue I was having with my AC giving out a musty odor apparently there's another filter that never got changed. The oil changer service is quick and staff are friendly there. The receipt has service checklist, but apparently they never did some of them like "vaccum floor " or " wash exterior window." I am not able to verify other services. If you do not do it, then you should not put them in the receipt. On the other hand, apparently they should do it because these services must come with the signature oil change service. read more

I went to the Jiffy Lube next to Walmart on Louis Henna in Round Rock and was the third person in line and waited over 20 minutes and no one even came to the car and only one Bay was open so I went to the other Jiffy Lube in Round Rock off of Mays and all the workers were sitting around but no one in the bays. When I pulled up they said they had a go check and see if they had a filter and then said they didn't and couldn't do my oil change which is odd to me because I have a Toyota Camry which is one of the most common cars on the planet I felt that they just didn't want to do an oil change at 4:30 p.m. I went down the street to Pit Pros off of mays in Round Rock and pulled right in and got service and was on my way in 20 minutes with a full synthetic oil change with the online coupon was just over $60. Originally I had left a good review, but after returning home I had noticed that my coolant tank was never topped off as this is what "Dom" insisted I had do along with my oil change. Im really a laid back guy, I don't mind that the guys talk a little bit to pass the time. But when "Devin" talked through the whole process of my oil change, and then asked me "if I smoke weed". I then replied no, and after that he said "oh well you look like you smoke " . At this point I felt stereotyped. Even then, I still TRUSTED that the guys did what i originally paid for which was a synthetic oil change and coolant to be topped off. Which was around 73$. (not sure because I wasnt emailed receipt which I know now is the correct procedure). To make a long story short my coolant was NEVER topped off and cosidering the fact that I just bought this car a few months ago I am HIGHLY dissappointed in both of the guys considering the fact that I STILL gave them a good review (which they insisted) upon leaving. Please guys if your reading this, take your job seriously every customer is A new experience and a opportunity to seize nonetheless. I arrive at this particular Jiffy Lube yesterday to have my vehicle inspection done. I was informed that the person who does it was off, so not a problem. I arrived this morning at 7:50am and JORDAN DAY informed me that he would not be in until 9:00am. I explained that I was not informed of that yesterday and was told by JORDAN DAY in a firm voice, "He will not be in until 9:00am." I proceeded to wait until 8:50am when I line started to form, at this point a little irritated that no one came to talk to me. When I spoke to another associate, after waiting for 1 hour that the inspection person call in sick. I then talked to the manager and he apologized and stated that JORDAN DAY should have informed me that he had called in sick. I explained, again that this is not what he had said and that I had wasted an hour when in fact JORDAN DAY, knew he was not coming. At the very least, if he had now known, someone should have come over to check on me. CUSTOMER SERVICE FAILURE! Sad, this was my go to place every year. read more

Terrible experience. Employees are amateur/novice at best. I would give them a 0 star if it were possible. They failed my state inspection because "the horn didn't work, and I didn't have a muffler" I got in my truck and hit the horn (which worked), and I already knew there was a muffler, i've been driving the dang truck for 5 years. I go back in and tell the manager and he says "well all of my people are new" I've been passed with the exact same horn and muffler for the last 4 years at Jiffy Lube, and then out of no where my horn is illegal because the manager didn't know if an aftermarket horn or a muffler like mine is legal in Texas.... AFTER THEY PASSED IT 4 YEARS IN A ROW!!! Instead of doing the research to find out they just failed me and told me that I have to get it all changed to factory and then come back... NOPE! I use to go to Jiffy Lube for oil changes, but this just ruined my respect for the company altogether. I'll never go back. read more

Always call first for State Inspections. Stopped into this location twice, both times was told 'he's not here', which I guess implies only one guy can do the State inspection service? The second time I asked when 'he' would be back, I was told 'I'm not sure' and then the guy just walked away, which I guess means he wasn't interested in giving me an oil change either? If there are limited hours when some services are available, that information should be posted (online?) or available when you ask for it. read more
