I have a 20 year old car, so that amount is ridiculous (especially since I paid close to $30 at Ballinger Automotive for the last oil change - and they do a better job anyway). I was super impressed with my experience here today. I arrived mid day (Sat) and was checked in right away. The team was friendly and prompt. I came for a basic oil change and was expecting some kind of line and a bit of a wait. When they told me they'd be done in 10 minutes I was shocked, and that's all it took. I went to get an oil change, which is usually a pretty routine experience. The employees were nice, but seemed a little clueless this visit. They changed my oil, and also did the following: 1. gave my car back unable to start or, once it got started again, stay running. It kept misfiring. 2. asked, "It wasn't like this before?" and then told me that my battery must be dead. My battery has died before. My car doesn't do that when the battery is dead. And no, it wasn't like this before. 3. looked into my air cabin filter and broke my glove box off in the process. Told me they didn't have any superglue to reattach it. 4. told me they couldn't have possibly done anything to make it start misfiring 5. after a couple hours and a few guys working on it, they told me they had dropped stuff down by the pistons after all So they fixed the problem, but....it was a gigantic hurdle. read more

The manager is very nice and even though he teased me about my broken tail light I enjoyed my visit and the free coffee in the lobby. I've always heard bad things about Jiffy Lube, but saw the 4 star rating on Yelp and decided to take my car in. The oil change was quick enough, but they unplugged my mass air flow sensor (when pulling out my air filter to show me how "dirty" it was) and never plugged it back in, so I had a real interesting ride home. And these guys try to sell people a transmission flush, brake flush, etc when they can't even remember to plug things back in? On a side note, the guys who worked on my car appeared to be pretty stoned. Real classy. Two words to sum this place up? Never. Again. read more

I've never heard or had good experiences with Jiffy Lube, but after reading these positive reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this Ballinger location a shot. They were fantastic!! They didnt try to up-sell me on anything, just the synthetic oil which I was already debating and they helped me make an informed decision without pushing it, and they even honored a coupon I found online that I couldn't print out. My check engine light had come on recently, which of course means $$$ right? But they gave it a quick check and found it was nothing but my gas cap! So helpful and relieving as the subaru expert next door was going to charge me $100 just to 'diagnose' the problem. I am happy to say I'm a total fan of this JL location, manager was nice and helpful, mechanics were quick and efficient, it was good service for a good price and I can come back for a free top-off! read more

Such a wonderful team of employees...they let you know what will be done, how long it will take and how much it will cost. Then " in a jiffy" your vehicle is finished and perfect! I've have had two terrible experiences at this place. The most recent being that they began working on my car even after I explicitly asked them to wait until I had agreed on the pricing. While I have had mixed luck with other Jiffy Lube locations, I have had very positive experiences with this location. They are quick and efficient but their work is not sloppy. I get my oil changed there and have had various lights replaced as well plus the Aquapel (which works so much better than Rain-X) treatment on my windshield. The staff is very friendly and helpful at answering questions. The type of customer service I expect from a business but, sadly, do not see that often. They have a promo where your third oil change is half off. And they really do top offs for free! read more

They said all my fluid levels were good and all I needed was a new filter, so I got that, but after I left my check engine light was on so I poped the hood to see if they left a dipstick out or something and somehow they managed to not notice my air intake hose was broke off which was knew to me, so that irritated me. I strongly recommend customers not to use this Jiffy Lube Location. My cars engine is not working now because they put less engine oil when I did a service a few months ago. Now I took it to another mechanic and he told me the oil that they put was not enough and that's why my engine got messed up. These people are super nice. I went into today after stupidly putting wiper fluid in my coolant. They made no promises and preceded to attempt a full drain. It was a sealed system so they couldn't completely drain it but got 90% and then refilled it. Said that since they couldn't do the full drain they wouldn't charge me. So nice! Started not great and ended much worse. We needed an oil change on our Rav4 and this place is close our home. The girl handling check-in informed us that it would be 30 minutes before we could even check in to leave the keys so we could go about our day - it would be over 1.5 hours for a basic oil change. This location has a big banner advertising "15 minute oil changes!" Apparently early afternoon on a Monday is a busy time? Price - $120 before coupon - more expensive than a dealership. On way home the check engine light comes on and the engine has a really rough idle. We called Jiffy lube and the immediate response of the technician was "Well it wasn't anything we did to your car!" They said they could plug in the computer if she brought it by before closing, and they did and scribbled the codes down and told her to go to a mechanic. When my fiance got home I popped the hood and it turned out they had disconnected the main air intake while they were checking the engine air filter and that was the source of the problem. Yes, it was something they did to the car. They could have EASILY diagnosed and fixed the problem they created if they had invested even a moment of time or caring into the problem they created. Better yet, they could have taken the time to do it right the first time and not cause a problem in the first place. The one good thing i'll say is that they actually do check the air filters before telling you they need to be replaced - I know I saw their handy work after they did... read more

These guys are the sweetest and didn't give me any grief about showing up ten minutes before closing. The twelve minutes it took them to change my oil, top off coolant, replace my air filter and a bulb was the only twelve minutes I've been able to find to do this in weeks! Well done, guys!! These guys were incredibly fast. I was in and out in 10 minutes...which is awesome for a mother with her child in tow. The problem i have with these guys is they treated me like I was an idiot. I made it clear, I just wanted an oil change and thats it. No new cabin filter, synthetic oil, etc. But the gentleman helping me was always trying to sell me something...even after I made it clear, I'm not buying anything. He then proceeded to tell me I waited too long to change my oil so it's breaking down my engine and my dirty cabin filter is ruining my MPG. Thats when I was really upset...I know that in the 3 minutes it took him to check my oil level, he can't determine I have a damaged engine, and I also know that a dirty cabin filter DOES NOT ruin MPG in new cars, it effects acceleration performance. Repeating again I didn't want anything else (but doing so more firmly), the gentleman got upset. When it came time to check me out, he wouldn't look at me in the eye, he gave me my receipt and walked away...it took another gentleman to tell me where my car was. I don't like being treated like a "silly woman". Women know thing or two about cars and performance...I refuse to return to this Jiffy Lube. Best of luck ladies. read more

As far as oil change places go, this place meets expectations. The staff are actually friendly and remember me when I come in. Or at least they pretend to. I'm cool either way with it. Last time I went to another jiffy lube and they didn't screw the cap in sufficiently and I was leaking oil. My guys at ballon get way hooked me up, tightened the bolt and capped me off.
