I went in for an oil change and they didn't tighten the oil filter and it fell off my engine is now completely messed up and they were very rude about not admitting that they destroyed my car and now I have to take them to civil court. I recently had my oil changed elsewhere and my car informed me my oil was low. Utt had only been about a month since my oil change so I knew that was strange. Not wanton to drive miles away with kids and low oil on my car I went to the nearest place, this jiffy lube location. I explained my situation to Hector, whom at first stated they don't do "top offs" unless you used them for your oil services not do they sell oil by the quart. He could tell I was bummed and said if I go buy the oil and bring it back he'd put it in for me. Then he said you know what I'm gonna save you the trouble and as a courtesy topped off my oil and let med know to keep an eye on it. I want Hector to know how much I truly appreciate is generosity and taking the time to help me when he really didn't have to. It saved me time, money, and possibly my cars life. Beware of this Jiffy Lube. I'll still go to others, but not this location anymore! Last time I was there, I got an oil change on my aunt's new Eclipse she had let me borrow. As I pulled out of their lot, there were all sorts of warning lights on and it was no longer automatically shifting gears. Anyway, I had three guys out there putzing around with it, reading the manual and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Livid, I drove it home. Long story short, the car died on the side of the freeway the next day, the computer screen on it said it was "overheating". I had to pay to get it towed and brought to a mechanic who determined that the idiots there disconnected a sensor when they tried to sell me on a new air filter and didn't connect it back! If that doesn't convince you to stay away, they just stole my sister's medical marijuana out of her car (after openly making comments to her about the smell). Very unprofessional. Two incidents is enough for me; they've lost my business and hopefully yours too! read more

Alright... I went here last week, during my lunch break, for an oil change and to get my tires rotated. I also mentioned that my serpentine Belt was making noise. They said they'd replace it and do all oth the other stuff. Over an hour later, they informed me that they were unable to change the serpentine belt because they cound not get the bolt off. It was on too tight and they were afraid they'd break it. WTF These guys obviously don't know what they are doing. Today I noticed that they didnt even rotate the tires like I asked. I'm not even so sure I got my oil changed. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!! read more

In my 24 years of car ownership I have never taken my cars for service other than at the dealer... until last weekend. We were out of the state and the car started leaking oil. I did not want to risk the 400+ miles drive back and took a chance on a nearby Jiffy Lube in Nevada. After the oil change, it started leaking oil again days later back home in California. The back of the receipt mentioned something about "limited warranty" so I went to the Simi Valley Jiffy Lube to see if they could help me even though the work was done in Vegas. The manager said they could do an oil leak check. Turns out it was a faulty oil filter and Miguel replaced it, topped off my oil, and cleaned the mess inside at no charge. So thankful and happy with Simi Valley's Jiffy Lube customer service. I'm glad we didn't take the car into a non-nationwide mom and pop auto mechanic shop. Even if we went to the dealer it would have taken longer than Jiffy Lube especially without an appt (time is precious when you're on vacation). And I got really lucky Miguel was so cool over here. Might have had the same wonderful service at the other Simi Jiffy Lube down the street but I'll never go while this Jiffy Lube is in business. read more

Several years ago I learned my lesson about Jiffy Lube the hard way at this location. I brought my Dodge van in for an oil change. How hard could this be? While doing the oil change, for some reason the young, untrained staff decided to step onto my front bumper and used both the radio antenna and windshield wiper as a handle. They broke the antenna off the vehicle and broke one of the windshield washer fittings on the wiper. WTF? There was absolutely no reason to climb onto a customer's vehicle - period! They did drive to a local dealership and replace the antenna but they couldn't fix the washer, which I did later at home. Bottom line - NEVER take your car to Jiffy Lube. read more

I only give one star because I DID get my oil change....finally. It would've been zero because of the lack of everything this particular place had. Sure, it's an oil garage, what do you really expect right? Well communicating would be one thing, especially from the service manager. No one said a word for almost 13 minutes as I stood and waited to find out how long a wait. Why did I wait? Because I wanted to make sure I was accurate when I thought i saw an employee pull their car around and start to do their oil change. And I was. Needless to say I have definitely lowered my expectations when considering this place in the future. Their sister store on LA AVE next to McDonald's is just as bad. They told my wife they don't have a filter for a Toyota Camry (worlds most popular model) and if she wanted the oil change she would have to go find one herself and bring it back! read more

He told me that "when he was young like me, he used to make that mistake and buy the cheap stuff, but it always ends up costing more in the long run." Then when offered new air filters, but said no thank you, he stated in a condescending tone " I thought you'd say that." I left feeling a bit frustrated and my engine light was still on... Went here for the first time for an oil change over the weekend, took less than five minutes to drop the car off, get put into the system, and be on my way. Worst customer service. The first time I went it was 5 they closed at 6 there were two cars ahead of me and they turned me away because they said it would put them after closing time. Second time I went there computers were down and they couldn't put me into the system. Don't care to be in the system just wanted my oil changed. Third time I went they just wanted to sell me synthetic instead of Standard Oil and try to charge me $100 for an oil change. The entire reason I go to an oil change place is convenience. Don't bring your car into Jiffy Lube if you have a higher end car (it will save you a ton of money in the long run). I brought my Jetta here about a month ago to get an oil change, and they completely screwed up my car. They did not put the correct oil that I specifically paid more for in, and ended up somehow draining the fluid from my steering wheel in the process. My steering wheel is all in a funk now and I am thankful I did not get into an accident, I would have 100% sued this company. They had no idea what they were doing and have no clue how to handle cars that require more TLC than most. I will never be going here again, as I now have to pay hundreds to repair my car internally at the place I got it from due to the damage Jiffy Lube has caused. read more

My car service lights went on, saying that my coolant is extremely low and could be a hazard. I called my usual place where I get my car serviced from and he told me without looking that I would have to leave it overnight as there could be a leak and all sorts of scary stuff. Then my husband suggested that I go to Jiffy Lube which is close by from our home. They took my car in right away, told them of the problem. They checked the car, added the coolant and that was it. On top of that they didn't charge me a dime. Now, I'm not giving them 5 Stars for not charging me but for the honesty that they displayed. I guess, they just earned a new customer. Usually, I love this location. Ever since I got my first car this is where I've been going for oil changes. I never had to wait longer than 30 minutes in the past. I dont know if theres been a staff change recently, I have been attempting to get my oil changed for the past 2 weeks at this location but every time there is a wait for a minimum of 45 minutes. Today there were 3 people in front of us and we were told it would be a 2 hour wait when last time there was the same amount and it was a 45 minute wait. It sounds like these guys at this location just don't want to work anymore. I'll be going elsewhere from now on. read more
