This place is a joke. They send out coupons for $18 off an oil change so you think you're getting a "deal" when in fact you're not. In what world does it cost $93 for a synthetic oil change? My dealership doesn't even charge this much. Such a rip off. In addition, they notified me that I needed to get my differential fluid changed when in fact I don't. I've taken my car into my dealership for every other service and this "service" has never been mentioned. I even looked up online the necessary work I need to have done to my car and again, this service is not mentioned. They were just trying to take more money from me. read more

We came here a month ago to get our filters changed and we noticed a leak in our ac unit. We thought the cap was left off but as we later learned it could very well have been our gigantic clumsy friend whose clown size feet unplugged the drain hose. Well we went back and Hector, Victor and Edris were very helpful and kind. They not only out the cap back on, but they fixed the hose and used their shop vac to get all the moisture out. They were very polite and helpful. None of that it's not our problem attitude you get from some places. They even shower my husband how to fix it if it should occur again. This kind of above and beyond service is commendable and more importantly memorable. We will definitely be returning to this location for our future needs and recommending them. read more

I got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube today and it was great. I had a Groupon, but was informed that their Groupon system wasn't functioning properly. They figured out a way to make it work and got my oil changed quickly. They checked and took care of all of the basics, while also making sure I knew everything that was going on with my car. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DESTROY YOUR CAR! I took in my luxury cars to this place for an oil change and the most incompetent individuals dealt with me. One of my cars takes 9 quarts of engine oil and the fellow put in 5. When I questioned the guy, he had no clue. I went home and looked at my car's specs. Guess what? I needed 9 quarts. How do you provide a service when you do not know what you are servicing? In addition, I had one of my lights replaced. BUT, IT WAS THE WRONG ONE! The employees there are a bunch of dolts. Please take these reviews seriously. They are true. Take your business elsewhere. 12/18/11 - I went back again. I had them check the oil issue. They said they put in 8 quarts but I wasn't charged for it. There is no way for me to tell other than the oil levels were adqeuate. The guy also replaced the correct light bulb and had the nerve to tell me that he would not charge me, but asked me to tip his fellow worker. Wow. I just drove away thinking these guys have no clue. I guess, they tried to make amends (hence, the 2 and not 1 star) . But, I will not go there again. I do not recommend this place. It is being run by incompetent people. read more

Just want to say that after going to Jiffy lube over the years for my oil changes they have really gone above and beyond this last time. Not only did they change my oil, rotate my tires and check my brakes. They also helped by changing out my thermostat sensor when I was having trouble doing so myself. I've visited this location a total of 3 times over the course of 2 years. The 1st experience was acceptable, but not great. The service was not quick, and the employees weren't warm and friendly at all. The crew member who gave me my mfr specs before starting work on my car was rushed and spitting phrases out automatically as he tried to upsell me. The receptionist was a young woman who did not greet me, she did not thank me, she did not smile, not even when I thanked her. I felt unwelcome and unappreciated. I felt compelled to return many months later ONLY out of convenience of the location and my immediate need to be serviced. My 2nd experience felt like a personal insult. I didn't even get my car serviced. There were 2 cars being serviced, and no other cars waiting in line. There were 4 or 5 employees grouped in the garage, chatting. Three of the employees made direct eye contact with me but did not acknowledge me, nor did they send anyone to acknowledge me. I waited 20 minutes and then left to have my car serviced elsewhere. Regret #3: My usual servicing station was out of my car's fuel filter. I was way over due for an oil change and needed to do some traveling in the next couple of days, so I decided to give this Jiffy Lube yet another try, since it was on my direct path home. Maybe the 3rd time would be the charm? What I really hoped was that customer service had improved since so much time had passed. Sadly, that was not the case at all. I am now so very sorry that I went back there. This time, when I pulled up, there were 2 men working in the garage, no other cars in line. One of the men kept looking at me, but he did not approach me or send anyone to approach me. He did not smile. Another customer pulled up behind me. I waited 10 minutes before getting out of my car to walk into the lobby. The crew member who had been throwing glances my way when I was waiting in the car was now behind the counter ringing up another customer, so I waited for him to finish. When he finished, he threw me a look of disdain and immediately walked back into the garage. He said nothing. He sent no one. I looked down the hallway and saw 3 crew members sitting around, dressed casually and talking and laughing noisily. They saw me, but said nothing to me. I was shocked. 35 years old....I'd never received such unprofessional treatment in my life. Was I not as important as any other paying customer? Even if they were short-staffed, I deserved a greeting at the very least. I was seething. I got back in my car and decided to leave without even complaining to a manager. I had a feeling the manager wouldn't care anyway, if he was even around. I just suddenly wanted to leave there and never, ever return. The person waiting behind me was still waiting in their car. Obviously, no one had approached him, either. They saw my reverse lights come on and immediately started backing away to give me space. It was the only display of courtesy I could get on the property, apparently. Just before I turned around to leave, one of the crew members I saw laughing in the hallway approached my car. He apologized and said he was actually off the clock, but that they were short-manned that day. I thanked him for letting me know, and I told him I already changed my mind and really just wanted to leave immediately. I will never return to this Jiffy Lube location for as long as I live. I will never recommend this location to anyone that I care about. I do not want a coupon or a voucher or a free service. Nothing can make up for the horrible treatment I received, except to ensure that it will never, ever happen again. The only way I see that being achieved is by making sure I never set foot on that Jiffy Lube property ever again in my life. I can and will happily change my own oil before I allow that to happen. read more

This place is the worst. Avoid it at all costs. There are many better places in town that will do a good job and do it with a smile. Every time I go here, there is at least one or two things they can't do (out of my oil filter for a Dodge Caravan, can't rotate tires because the lift is leaking oil, someone called in sick and they don't have enough people to work past 5 even though they are open until 6, blah blah blah.) I am tired of their excuses and will never be back. The other Jiffy Lube in West Simi is just as bad as they have the same owner. The last straw - I just spent $125 having my clogged windshield washer system cleaned out because someone (not me!) was using water instead of washer fluid. And the last 2 oil changes I had were at this location. Coincidence? Nope.....Never going back here. read more

I called ahead to this location (Simi Valley) because I went to the Sylmar location they "were out of oil" imagine that....I was coming from Santa Clarita and Groupon only allowed "select locations". When I arrived to the Simi Valley location I had to wait 20 minutes before they discussed what service I wanted. I stated I wanted the Full Synthetic service and assistant manager stated "that service is over $140.00". I told him I paid for the Full Synthetic on Groupon. He then states there is a "service Charge" for Mercedes and BMW oil change and the total is $125.00 my coupon only valid for $89.99. I showed him the GROUPON and read to him all the "Conditions" and any additional costs. It clearly states only additional costs would be 1) extra oil over 5 quarts (my car only needed 5.1 quarts 2) special order Oil Filter (not needed on my car). Tax, disposal fee not included That was it. No "additional charges". He proceeded to argue with me for 15 additional minutes then called his manager. Could not get in touch so called another manager. After another 10 minutes of arguing he stated he would charge me $105.00 so paid an additional $16.00 for no reason. Actual oil change took another 40 minutes. GROUPON customers should not have to go through this to redeem their coupon. If JIFFY LUBE does not want to honor their agreements they should refrain from using GROUPON. Or clearly add if you have a German auto expect to be surcharged by $50.00 for no reason other than it is German. The Full Synthetic is already 50% more expensive. Jiffy Lube: 1.) I had a Groupon and made me feel bad that I did. 2.) gave me a hard time for using Groupon 3.) did not go over services performed and charges like they did the other customers 4.) over charged me after using GROUPON. 5) Argued with me in front of other customers. If I could give this zero stars I would. I have always taken my own oil to Jiffy Lube and utilized coupons as well with no issues. Today was the first time I have had any issues with this. I was told by Jose G. that bringing in your own oil is already a discount and coupons can't be used. I called him on it and he insisted. He took it to a further level by making an analogy to McDonald's and taking in your own meat. I was floored. I have never, and I mean NEVER, been treated in such a manner with other locations for Jiffy Lube. Needless to say, I paid for the oil change as performed and left. An immediate call was placed to their district manager who took care of me and pointed out that there is another location down the road. I will be going there from now on. Thanks go to Reggie for resolving the nightmare that you could experience if you go to Location #682 at 4426 E. Just got done having my oil changed here. Ups and downs. I usually always use this Jiffy Lube. I waited about 30 minutes until my truck was serviced. There was one idiot worker there that constantly liked to slack off, honk customers horns, and walk around in circles looking like he was doing something. He was even called out by his manager for not vaccuming/cleaning the windows of a car they had just finished. If it wasn't for the manager (or acting manager...didn't look for the nametag) Gonzalo S., this would've been a 1 star review. If the shop wasn't busy enough, having to deal with a lazy worker made it hard enough. He was all about customer service, being professional and getting the work done. The other employees followed in suit. I'm all about having a good time at work. But not when you have cars backed up. If it wasn't for Gonzalo taking the extra steps I wouldn't come back. read more

I do not trust these people at all. I've been talked into buying things I didn't need. The latest was that I needed a transmission fluid change which costs upwards of 200 dollars. Took it to my dealership which told me that they have made it so that my kind of car would not need such a service. So they were trying to basically talk a girl into spending 200 dollars she didn't need and taking advantage of the fact that I know nothing about cars. Will not be going back. Ever. Came in today on a crazy super busy Saturday. The workers here were nothing but super helpful and nice. Always checking up on me and letting me know my status of my car. I loved the fact that when paying and discussing my options the workers never pushed me and hassled me to get more work needed then what I came in for. When they were finished with my car, they went over detail by detail of everything they did to my car; even went out to the car with me to show me. Do not go to Jiffy Lube on Los Angeles Ave in Simi Valley. We went there and even before he looked under the hood the guy told us that we needed to use synthetic oil which of course is a lot more expensive than conventional oil. When I said I needed to check with my brother-in-law who is a mechanic all of a sudden he said oh well let me double check and then came back and said oh you can use conventional oil. I would feel bad for an elderly person or anybody who was sold something they don't need. It is just dishonest! read more

Good Customer Service and work Gaurantee , they change the oil filter and three days later the shield cover plate came off and honda dealer wanted 180.00 for parts and labor but since it was previous remove by jlube I called them up and the assitant mgr. advice me to call next day since mrg.
