I don't come here often tbh but when I do I'm never disappointed. Their bread is so soft. I think I'm use to jersey mikes because I thought "they should add the juices on these sandwiches too" and it would be a hit. But the option is there to add the red wine vinegar and stuff. So I just need to keep it in mind. This is a good place to get a nice sub that's not too crazy and just old fashioned. Sometimes the workers are chatty and nice and other times they're just there doing their job and that's okay lol they are still nice. Stopped by for lunch at the deer park location first time here and ordered the #16. My order was made quick and my sandwich was very delicious with fresh veggies on a delicious bread . I have been coming to this location for a couple years now and it's a regular lunch spot for me. I always get the same thing - The Pepe combo meal with BBQ chips and a Diet Coke. My husband and I started keto this month (because we eat out too much and obviously don't choose well lol) and I haven't been eating out much but we got home late last night and didn't feel like packing our lunches so I looked for keto friendly restaurants and found out JJs offers unwiches. I never noticed this before! So I ordered my normal combo but in an unwich and with a pickle. I'm here to say that I didn't miss the bread! It is so good! Not gonna lie, I'd much rather have the chips but the pickle is good, too. Plus, I always receive great service here and should have written a review before now just because of that. read more

There's nothing wrong with Jimmy John's as a whole, this location just sucks. I'd heard from plenty of others that the employees were rude, but that sort of thing can be subjective, so we ordered some lunch for pick up. However, my wife did make a mistake when ordering. It happens. People click on the wrong thing all the time. In this case, it amounted to my wife accidentally ordering an "Unwich" (no bread, lettuce wrap) with "no lettuce". In essence, a sandwich with no lettuce despite its absolute dependency on lettuce. I've seen mistakes in the service industry before, both on the side of the customer and the side of the employer. Again, it happens. We're all humans, we're all fallible, no exceptions. That didn't stop the Jimmy John's employee who handed me the order from being a condescending prick. I guess I found the one perfect human being who is above mistakes, and he's working a minimum wage counter job in a sandwich shop instead of gracing us with his perfection in a far less noble field. Rather than being born in Nazareth, he was born in nazty Deer Park, TX. What I got was an experience with the Christ of crisp lettuce. A normal person in the service industry would ask if maybe we had input the order wrong, or if there had been some sort of misunderstanding along the way. Instead, I got to deal with the Jesus of Jimmy John's. The messiah of meats said to me, "the order said Unwich with no lettuce." And I told him I wasn't really sure about the mix up because my wife placed the order. The Salami Savior born unto unworthy mankind then said, "well I don't know if she just thought she was going to eat it off the paper or what, but we put lettuce on it and she can just take it off if she doesn't want it." with a smugness usually reserved for people with jobs that don't come with compulsory aprons and hats, then handed me the bag and walked away. I can't really capture in text how condescending this yeasty Yahweh was, I just don't have the way with words (again, human, fallible), but I guess I really don't see why he couldn't just explain that the order was confusing, and I probably could have made a quick call to my wife to clarify and rectify, but when the staff presents you with sarcasm and an overall unwillingness to help, I think the better option is to just not order from there anymore. read more

Got a little story for ya. This might take a while. We live 2.8 miles away from this location. Sadly, that puts us outside of their delivery area. That is a whole other issue, although it does play into our tale. I had been craving Jimmy John's for a long time, but my daughter (3 years old) is not the biggest fan of sandwiches for some reason. Odd child, but what am I going to do about it? Finally, I talked the family into it, so we took the time to load everyone up for a family drive to grab dinner at the drive through. We pulled up and had to dodge the kids skateboarding through the drive through. We placed our order and it was read back to me correctly. We paid for our food and received all of our sandwiches and chips in a box with our receipt. We checked the receipt, just to make sure things were correct, and drove back home. After returning home and getting the food out for our kids, my wife sat mine on the table and I took my seat an opened it up. Imagine my surprise when my sandwich wasn't just a little bit incorrect (like maybe it had tomatoes after I asked for them to be removed), but a completely different sandwich than I ordered and was on the receipt. I wasn't driving back. Just wasn't going to happen. I drive 35 miles, each way, to work. At this point, I was just absolutely done for the day. I called and spoke with, I believe, the same person that took our order (Jonathon). I asked him to, although we were slightly outside their delivery area to make it right by bringing me the correct sandwich. He refused initially. So, I have him the option of either delivering me the correct sandwich OR I would drive back up there and they could refund the entire order. He balked. After being put on hold, during which I can only imagine there was much finger pointing and gnashing of teeth, he returned to the phone and told me that my sandwich would be delivered because he was going to take $5 out of his own pocket to give to the delivery driver. I thanked him for that and waited for the delivery. The kicker? The delivery took about 15 minutes (I am easily within a distance that should be in their delivery zone). The sandwich arrived...and it was correct. At this point, all of my negative thoughts washed away and were replaced by a chorus of angels singing. Okay, maybe the sandwich isn't THAT good, but it was good, nonetheless. I gave them four stars not for the sandwich, but because they were actually able to make it right. I know they weren't happy about it, but they did it anyway. They would have received five stars from me if they had come up with the plan on their own instead of being prompted by me. I love the Vito sandwich that you guys make. I love the fact that you guys wear gloves to make your sandwiches and practice social distancing. This Jimmy Johns location is about 12 miles away. Unfortunately it's the closest one to my home. I love the Vito sandwich so much that I travel that distance to pick up my carry out order. In the last week I have purchased 4 Vito sandwiches. Today on Monday 6-22-20 I was at the store right at 10:30 am as the store opened. I was the second person to place an order that day. I had a question about the buy one sandwich and get the second sandwich at half price. I was told by the person working there he doesn't know? I didn't get his name. But I can describe him. A white male about 19 to 23 years old. Height 5"10. Weight 180 pounds' with black hair and a black beard. And a very bad attitude. And no smile at all. He said the buy one sandwich get one at half price was only through the Jimmy Johns application on my mobile phone. And he wasn't familiar with it. I would think anyone working at Jimmy Johns would be familiar with the stores mobile application. I tried to redeem the coupon price on the app but the app was not allowing me to get the discount. So I just ordered my regular order of 2 Vito sandwiches. This person who I described already took my money and then said "I'll be right with you" He then went to converse with another employee for about 3 minutes. I think the other employee was in training? After leaving me standing at the counter for 3 minutes He washed his hands and put gloves on and started to make my sandwiches. His body language was very negative. He slammed the bread on the prep table and made my sandwiches and bagged them and didn't even say thank you. It was a very negative experience. I said thank you very much and walked out. At 3:30 pm 5 hours later I called the store to ask about how to qualify for the free sandwich that was advertised on the front window of the store? I was told very rudely by this same person I described above that it's through the application which he isn't familiar with, and unless I have any other questions that he has to go because he is under a lot of stress. He said that 2 of the store managers are out sick with COVID-19 and he is (STUCK) there working. I told him "If you don't like your job? And it sounds like you don't like your job? Maybe you shouldn't be working there?" That's when he slammed the phone down and hung up on me. I'll still go to Jimmy Johns but I don't like being treated like this. I'm a paying customer. I give the food a 5 star review. But I give the service based on this person that I described above a 1 star review. If I could give a no star review I would. If you're one of the three people who read my reviews, please know that Jimmy John's is -- in no way -- a three-star restaurant. I rate restaurants based on their market, audience and competitors. I tend to use the huge national sub chain as my measuring stick. If an establishment is reminiscent of them, I rate them poorly. I've been to this location twice (months apart) and was pleased with the service, cleanliness of the restaurant and food both times. The bread here is outstanding -- especially for a chain. The meats, while decent, pale in comparison to Jersey Mike's. Why? Because Jersey Mike's cuts the meat when you order the sandwich. Still, the quality of the cold cuts here is fine. The vegetables (lettuce, etc.) seem fresh and crisp. And the employees at this location have been outstanding on both of my visits. As I've said before, this is a testament to good management. I will be back to this location when I have a hankering for a sub, even though it's a 15-minute drive from my office. read more

Pretty good. Very clean. Bigger inside than it looks. Tastes much better than Subway. Sandwiches are 8 inches and I'd personally prefer a smaller size. I got the tuna and it was yummy! There is a sign that we noticed when refilling our drinks that said, "don't forget your pickle" but they never mentioned a pickle. I have always been a fan of Jimmy John's and today was my boyfriend's first time. The guy at the register, Jeremiah, was great! Helpful, kind, knowledgeable. We live close and I didn't feel like cooking one night, so we ordered for delivery. The ordering process was fine, though you HAVE to pay with a credit/debit card as there is no cash option. It came quickly and was prepared correctly. I put my Italian sandwich in the oven and toasted it a bit which made it a lot better. The kids were ok with their cold sandwiches. In my opinion, I don't see it as anything special or over the top good. It's decent, but over priced for what you get. I just don't see the appeal and don't plan to order from there again. I've been to the drive thru twice now. The sandwiches are all cold. There are no hot sandwiches on their menu and that is a big letdown for me. I also was looking forward to delivery, however, they don't currently deliver to me. I am just outside their 1 mile zone. 1 mile, really, no wonder they deliver so fast. If you have a super small delivery area then you should be fast. The sandwiches are good but since they are not toasted I can easily make one myself at home if I have the ingredients. So for me JJ's will only be a once in a while thing when I am too lazy to make my own or want to get one to take to work the next day. It's not going to get any colder. They might get used more if they delivered. I would really give them 2.5 stars but we don't have that option so I am giving them an extra half star. read more

like someone else said this location sucks. went inside to order with family. there was no one else inside the store. my daughter likes her sandwich with only meat and cheese. I tried to order her a new"lil john" sandwich and asked to take off what she does not like I told the guy she only wants meat and cheese. so he suggests the Slim sandwich because they come without veggies, I said fine. We ordered our other sandwiches and went to get our drinks. Manager yells out to us because this guy forgot to take off the lil john and charged us for that and the slim. I love this place. I always get the bootlegger. I usually go to the one in Downtown since I work there, but when I feel like eating JJ's near my house I enjoy this one as well. Probably the worst excuse for an Italian Sub I ever ate. I have had Italian Subs from many many sandwich shops. Bread was passable, but ice cold. Meat portions were not very generous but adequate. Mostly salami, very little capicola The problem was the "real tasty Italian vinaigrette". There was no vinegar in that real tasty Italian vinaigrette.. When I bit into the sandwich I thought they'd forgotten to add it so I asked for some to put on myself. They couldn't give me any but offered to add some so I held my sandwich while the young man put it on. It had absolutely no flavor, just made it oily. I got no napkins with my sandwich, there was no salt or pepper on the tables, if you want sweetener for your tea - you have to ask and they go get it from the drive thru window and there's also no lemon available.
