The cheese sauce tasted liquified american cheese slices and the bolognese was similar to horrible fatty pulled pork sandwich. 2 of us secured a 6:15 reservation on a Wednesday earlier that day. FOOD: The ribeye was excellent. We prefer bone in, but they had none while we were there so went with the boneless, $52. Medium was cooked perfectly, edges had the charred fat that melted when I ate it. We asked for it to be delivered so we could split it ourselves as we prefer to slice it ourselves. There is a splitting charge, although that was not our reason and we were not charged. The rest of the food was just ok. Caesar salad was a little bland. Truffle fries were good but served with an odd side of BBQ sauce, which I did not find a complimentary dipping sauce for truffle fries. $4 upcharge for the bernaise, not classy. A lot of the steak comes from Australia. They rate the meat and buy from the country that can provide that rating at the best price. Of course we'd prefer they buy from the US, but the meat quality and taste was amazing. SERVICE: We sat at the bar and April took great care of us and had a warm and welcoming personality. She was attentive and very knowledgeable on the menu. Average wine pours. Good by the glass selections. Chalk Hill was $13 a glass. BAR: We sat at the bar and had dinner. It seats 10 ish. After 30-45 minutes more people arrived and the bar had a few more people as did the tables. April, our bartender was friendly and cheery, but there was not a warm vibe throughout the rest of the room. It was a little dark, cold and rote other than April. Love the butcher shop too, we always find what we're looking for and are never disappointed! Absolutely lovely wine selection. On the last visit, we went for lunch and the smash burger is a must. Plenty of good stuff on the menu, but I have a hard time veering away from that burger, it is sheer perfection. Not a smashburger in name only (nothing makes me madder!), this one is properly smashed and the patties are lovingly charred. Dimmed lighting and wood accents. The menu seems small but it does have a little for everyone. Meats, fish, pasta... even a kids menu that is very good. Kids filet mignon about 5oz ($20 bucks and it comes with a large side) Most dishes I would say are rather large and hey.... it is a steak house so go big. Sides are definitely meant to be shared in my opinion and some of the meats as well... unless you can take on a 32oz prime rib or a tomahawk just by yourself... if not... share them. The temperature on my steak was perfect and the meat was rested, juicy and expertly seasoned. For appetizer we ordered a salad and super fresh stone crab claws (4) ... the mustard sauce could have been seasoned better but overall a nice dish. The one thing that I noticed and some people around us were also talking about was that almost every single waiter or person working at the restaurant was not wearing a mask. And said thank you have a nice day with a smerk. I than walked over to cashier and asked for a manager and the young lady told me there was none there. She told me quote "He's always like this, he's the butcher manager I don't blame you for being upset" I left my number and waited 4 days and called there 3 times and until today July 7th I called in and finally spoke to "Jimmy" as soon as he answered he knew who I was and said your the guy with the short rib and defended his butcher very quickly and barley told my side of the story only his butchers. This was a great "find" when wanting a quality steak. I didn't like the "closed midday" concept I found in Naples. I showed at 4 and had to stall around 'til they opened at 5. They are attached to their Butcher Shop/Deli so there was lots to ogle at and to know the locals could take home their steaks. I was seated by a server whose English was a little unclear and she didn't know lots of things but went to check. I misread the special menu and thought I was getting a $45 3 course meal that turned out to be $60. It would've been nice to be told this, though I think I would've gotten my choices anyway. Their bread was okay, a little hard crusted but went nicely with their butter. Salad was fabulous-almost wanted to stop there it was so good! The steak was cooked beautifully and so flavorful. Green beans were way undercooked, difficult to cut with a butter knife, harder to chew and way over-garlicked for my tastes. Loved the mashed taters and the "gravy" was a great accent for both the meat & potatoes. I wanted to have that dessert so took some veggie things home. The key lime pie which the server said was made in house but was served frozen/thawed, was one of the worst I've had (and I live in Florida). It was grainy & too tart. Even Publix makes a better one. They need a new vendor or a new recipe. It didn't measure up to the decadence of the overall meal and the price tag that came with it. I would return for other great items on the menu. Timing was a little off on courses being served, water being filled and a chef or manager should've stopped by since only being 2 tables in the first hour of operation. Jimmy P's Charred is a unique place in Naples. Half is butcher shop and the others is the restaurant. Separate the walkway to the restaurant and the butcher shop is an island full of wine - mostly red wine. The butcher shop specializing in Wagyu beef, Heritage Berkshire Pork, Poultry, lamb, veal and other game meats. They make their own deli meats, baby back ribs, smoked sausages and other gourmet items. You can clear see the butcher operation with freezers full of premium quality meat, sausages, soups, fishes, snow crab legs, octopus and other seafood items. As you walk in toward the restaurant side, it transforms into a casual steak house with thick wooden table without table cloth. There is small bar area where you can enjoy your meal as well as table service. Several outside tables were available. We went in for dinner. Our server, Bruce, is very attentive and very knowledgeable about the Naples area cuisine. He correctly called the Wagyu rather than Kobe beef. Wagyu loosely translated to 'Japanese cattle'. So, Wagyu refers any cattle that bred in Japan or the Japanese style. Kobe beef is very particular strain of Wagyu called Tajima-Gyu from Hyogo. I believe the capital city of Hyogo is Kobe. Hence the name of Kobe beef. To cool off we have Stella and Blue Moon beers while we enjoy the bread with creamy cherry and mascarpone butter. No seafood tonight! We went for Wagyu A5 Strip, Rib Eye and petite Filet Mignon with creamy spinach, truffle fries and potatoes Au Gratin. As expected, the Wagyu A5 strip melt in your mouth with a buttery flavor. The Rib Eye steak and filet mignon are second to Wagyu A5 strip but perfectly grilled or charred. The creamy spinach is delicious while the shoe string truffle fries with the steak meat sauce and the potatoes are phenomenal. We were so full with our meal and completely skip dessert! Jimmy P's Charred is in a class by itself. Excellent service and quality meat. You will love this steak house but be warned it is on the pricey side for dinner! read more
