Second time at Jimmys Corner because when I passed it today I decided that it's probably best to revisit before they get evicted. $9 for a Sam Adams draft ($4) and a shot of Jameson($5). I am going to miss this place and its unique old school ambience. Classic NYC swallowed by the Borg. All will be assimilated. Resistance is futile. Freedom is irrelevant. Self-determination is irrelevant. Death is irrelevant. Goodbye old NYC.

Hubs remembered this bar from when we stayed at the Lamb's Club years ago so I had to stop in when we were staying on the next block. They were PACKED on a Saturday night but I was able to squeeze in at the bar. And that bartender was hustling! Note there's minimum for using a credit card (I think it was $10, only because I tipped $3 on my $7 drink & paid cash , and thought I could've charged it after all). My drink was strong & service was incredibly swift. Jimmy's Corner is still a great dive bar in Times Square! [#10 of 2025]

I was trying to meet up with a Friend on a busy Friday night and this place really took me back. What an amazing find! Don't get me wrong- Jimmy's Corner is a dive bar- but its one of the rare bars in NYC that is still affordable and with character. There's boxing memorabilia everywhere and sports still on all of the tvs. Visitors were lively and there was plenty of great community at the bar and at the tables. I might have been the only woman in the place but everyone was friendly and having a great time. Service was excellent. It took a moment to get in line at the bar but there was occasional table side service too which is unheard of. It was so refreshing to just have a classic pre pandemic nyc experience.

From the outside it seems sketchy and the initial entry way can seem super crowded and not a young vibe at all. However the back room wasn't as crowded and the service was really friendly. Also the drinks were $3.50 which was an incredible deal. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped by Jimmy's Corner around 9:30 PM while walking through Midtown Manhattan -- and the place was already buzzing with energy. If you're looking for a classic, no-frills New York bar experience, this is definitely the kind of spot you'll want to check out -- with a few things to keep in mind. When we arrived, the bar was pretty full, but we managed to grab two seats right at the bar, near the bartender. We ordered a round of beers, and service was quick The atmosphere? Loud, lively, and a little chaotic -- in a good way. People were talking, laughing, drinking, and enjoying the vibe. There was even live music, which added a fun touch and made the place feel very alive The interior definitely feels stuck in time -- and that's part of its charm, depending on your taste. The decor is old-school, the lighting is dim, and everything has that been-here-forever feel. If you're into modern, sleek bars, this might not be your scene. But if you're down for a bit of gritty NYC character -- this bar leans into it unapologetically. Small note: There's only one restroom stall for everyone. It's tiny, and for such a packed place, it felt like not nearly enough. But hey -- it's a small, narrow bar, and space is clearly limited. In short: A great place for a quick drink and soaking up some vintage New York bar vibes Don't expect anything fancy -- this place is all about the feel, not the finishes Probably not ideal if you're looking for a quiet conversation -- this one's all about noise, nostalgia, and night-out energy Overall, I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. It delivers on the atmosphere it promises -- just know what you're walking into. RECOMMEND (Personally mine)

Love dive bars. This is probably the only old school Times Square bar left. Beer and Drinks are cheap. Bartenders are friendly and you can tell it is an original.

The saddest part of coming here is when I look at my last beer and realize I'm leaving.

I've been coming to Jimmy's Corner for years. It's amazing to me that this bar exists in the middle of Times Square. Amongst all of the national chains, with their massive neon lights and signs, this hidden gem is tucked away between 6th & 7th Ave. First, the prices alone are cheaper than what I would expect to pay in some middle of nowhere dive bar. But getting a beer and a shot for $10 in NYC...in Times Square...it's unheard of. You (or maybe it's just me) would expect the staff in a place like this to be surly and dismissive. Cheap drinks in an overpopulated city with nonstop tourist should drive anyone insane. But not here, every one that works in Jimmy's is welcoming and always on their game. I'm glad that after Jimmy's passing they kept it going. The memorabilia on the wall is phenomenal even if you're not a boxing fan. You can feel the history and the love every time you walk in. No matter where I am visiting in NYC, I will, without fail, always stop at Jimmy's Corner. It is my happy place.

My new favorite place to grab a beer in the theater district. Service was quick and prices were cheap for the location. Very convenient for pre-show drinks if you're on a budget. They have a $10 min for cards so plan to drink at least 2 beers. If you're looking for a fancy bar you're probably better off at a hotel lobby or a theater. They take their dive bar status very seriously; dust is probably their aesthetic. The serving area IS clean and the bartender was wonderful.

Great dive bar with great prices. Hard to find a spot at the bar during rush hour, but that goes for pretty much anywhere.

It has easily earned a spot as one of my favorite bars of all time. The underground space flawlessly captures a raw, seedy, 1980s rock 'n' roll vibe, with eclectic decor that extends beautifully to the themed menus and custom glassware. Sitting at the bar was a highlight--the bartenders were fantastic, clearly proud of their craft, and they even humorously indulged my game of trying to guess the ingredients of each drink they mixed. The cocktail lineup is phenomenal. A few absolute highlights: the Purple Rain with its purple ice and peppercorn, the flambéed Dirty Dancing, a brilliant espresso martini riff called Flick The Bean, and Pure Temptation--which has glassware you just have to see for yourself. You need a password (easy to find online), and you go through a hidden door down a staircase. But it feels more like a novelty than anything else. NYC has way more iconic speakeasies, so this isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way for more than once. Nothing wrong with the vibe--it's Times Square, so you already know what you're getting--but it's definitely a one-and-done kind of spot. The drinks are good and super fun, but they're very extra (smoke, presentation, all that), so between that and how packed it gets, it can take a while just to get one cocktail. Didn't try the food. Overall, go for the pics and TikToks--it's perfect for that. I'd recommend checking it out once, but I don't really see it being a repeat spot.
