Comfort food level: UNMATCHED. I pulled up to Rice Meats Soup in Buena Park and was instantly hit with the cozy, welcoming vibe. The space is clean, inviting, and perfect for anything from a chill solo meal to a dinner with friends or family. I had the Hot Stone Beef Bibimbap, sizzling, savory, and packed with flavor. The crispy rice at the bottom was chef's kiss. Then came the Pork & Napa Cabbage Wraps, tender pork belly, fresh napa cabbage, and all the toppings you need to build the perfect bite. Service was amazing, super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. And there's plenty of parking, which made the whole experience even smoother. This spot is seriously serving up top-tier Korean comfort food.

Awesome korean food in the buena park area. My wife always craves korean food so we had to pull up to this spot. I love the simplicity of the menu and most items have a picture with it so you can see what it looks like. We ordered the seafood pancake, which is humongous, and the spicy short ribs. They were both delicious but be careful with the short ribs as they can get pretty spicy, even with mild. However, they were awesome. The meat was extremely tender and basically melted in your mouth. This also came with side dishes. We'll be back if we are in the area. The lady serving us was awesome. She came back to check on us a few times and helped me answer all my questions. It's a bit of a hole in a wall place with flies flying around a little, but it's still moderately clean here.

King Donkatsu, Rose Teokbokki, Cold Noodle (excuse the photocards)

Definitely come hungry to this place! Their portions are huge... We ordered Rose Teokbokki, cold noodle, and their King donkatssu to share. Everything is so nice and flavorful. I was very impressed by their donkatssu not only is it fried to perfection but the pork itself was juicy. I've always been a fan of the sweeter and tangier sauce that comes with the korean version of tonkatsu. Cold noodles were also refreshing. I wish it came with crushed ice to make it even colder as it was truly a hot day. Rose teokbokki was wonderful but definitely the biggest plate of them all, definitely for sharing. I wish they gave more rice and sausage as it was just filled to the top with fish cake, but still good! I recommending coming with a large party!

We decided to eat here on a whim. I've been meaning to come here when they first opened. I would describe this place as a family style Korean homey restaurant. Their donkatsu is a must here. Large, crispy and done correctly. Their panchan is pretty standard. Getting it refilled, including water took some effort. The Short ribs soup is good but didn't find it tender or flavorful enough like the former a&w shop in buena park. I think the restaurant is ruined by 2 people in the back and the guy in the front. While we were half way done, a family comes half hour before closing. The guy host i think didn't appreciate last minute arrivals and hinted at the closing aspect. Regardless, they sat. We ate. Service became slower and slower but we still tipped 20%. It wasn't a cheap dinner for four people but food was tasty. I think we spend $160 for 4 people. There are probably better choices in north buena park but we got lazy and crossed this place off my list. There are lunch prices that are cheaper than dinner here and i believe it's the same amount of food. I may just come back for lunch instead.

We moved to the Buena Park area this year and are still trying to figure out our go-to spots for a casual lunch/dinner in case we're too lazy to cook. I saw Rice Meats Soup on Yelp and was intrigued by the fun name. During our first visit this past weekend, we were pleasantly greeted by staff and welcomed to a very clean interior. The vibes were giving comfort and casual, but when the food came out, we were truly in awe! The presentation was amazing. The beautiful braised short rib neatly stacked with pieces of veggies and rice cakes peaking through. Smelled equally fantastic! Seafood pancake was very cirspy, filled with real seafood, and huge. Portions overall were very generous! We basically took home 2 extra servings although we only ordered 2 menu items. Can't believe I didn't visit this spot sooner! We're definitely going to be regulars here

    14. Spicy Pork Hot Stone Bibimbap

The food is delicious and portions are massive. I loved the bibimbap I ordered and the tempura that my husband got with his dish was very good. Service is friendly and quick. The place is nice and pretty spacious with lots of seating and a couple of TVs. It was not too busy on a Saturday evening but there were a few families eating inside. Nice spot and good price for the generous portions!

Full spread, includes 21. Seafood Pancake in the center and 3. Beef Soon Tofu on the right.

This is an excellent locally-owned and operated restaurant I stumbled upon. It seems like they specialize in Korean/Japanese fusion but so far I've only ordered traditional Korean dishes. I definitely want to come back and try more dishes in the future. This time I ordered the beef soon tofu and the seafood pancake. - seafood pancake is one of the best ones I've had in SoCal. I love how the pancake was crispy throughout the whole thing, and it does not compromise on the quantity and quality of ingredients. It was absolutely stuffed with squid, shrimp, and scallions and the seasoning was very well balanced with the sweet and savory sauce. - the beef soon tofu was excellently seasoned and the tofu was great, but the beef can be a bit on the tough side. - the side dishes were good but nothing special Service was excellent. Atmosphere is very homey and has the small family business feel to it. But neither factor into my rating, my rating is just for the food.

    Spicy Pork Bulgogi Lunch Special

Jumbo portions jam-packed with flavor, so come with a giant appetite! Lunch was surprisingly empty with no wait to be seated. K-pop bops filled the space with a happy vibe - great for casual get-togethers over homey Korean food. Our jaws dropped when our food arrived. Each order was MASSIVE, perfect for sharing! Spicy Pork Bulgogi Lunch Special: A set of CA rolls, salad, fruits, veggie & shrimp tempura (hot and freshly fried), steamy heaps of rice & meat. Overall, well-balanced and oh-so-yummy!! Spicy Squid Hot-Stone Bibimbap: Sizzling hot stone. Aromatic. Good kick of heat, hearty, and delicious. Honestly, I feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. The cooks do not skimp out on flavor. Considering the generous amount of food, dining here comes at an exceptional value, especially the lunch specials! I truly hope that more locals find this little gem & give it a shot. I know they'll leave with a full tummy and a big smile like we did :)

Found an amazing Korean spot in Buena Park near Cypress. Place looks casual and simple outside but their food is amazing! Their galbijjim is tender with perfect seasoning, not too spicy or sweet, and goes perfectly with their fluffy rice. Finally found a place that makes seafood pancake right! Most places serve soggy pancakes with barely any seafood, but this one's thick, packed with seafood, perfectly crispy outside and properly cooked inside. Makes for perfect rainy day takeout with makgeolli. The bossam here is so good.....! The pork is tender with no weird smell, and comes with house-made ssam mu (radish wraps). The staff told us that the owner makes everything in-house, even all the banchan like the regular kimchi and green onion kimchi that come with the bossam. The green onion kimchi especially pairs perfectly with the pork. Super friendly staff, free parking, and plenty of space in the lot. Too hungry to take pictures this time :( Definitely my new go-to spot when craving Korean food!

Ordered the lunch special salmon combo and a beef soon tofu soup which came with sides and a rice and it was great. The food was yummy! I usually don't eat all the sides, but I liked all of them. The soup was pretty big and had great flavor. The lunch salmon combo was great as well and was surprisingly a big portion for a lunch special. The restaurant was clean, and not that busy. Plenty of parking. The server was nice and accommodating. Would definitely come back again!

    Seafood Soon Tofu

My new go to place for Korean comfort food. I've been here for their soft launch and they've since consolidated their menu, but the quality of food is still top notch and the portions are so generous! Here's what we got: King Donkatsu ($19.95) Must get! Honestly this may be one of the best pork katsu I've ever had. The outside was perfectly deep fried - crispy and light without being greasy and the pork is so tender on the inside! It's served with katsu sauce on the side which I don't typically use, but this one had just the right balance of flavors and wasn't too sweet. Seafood Soon Tofu ($15.95) Tofu soup that was packed with shrimps, clams, mussels, and of course tofu! It came with an egg on the side to crack into the soup. Their mild was on the spicier side, but I still enjoyed it so much because it was so flavorful and the seafood flavors really came through. The shrimps were also big, unlike those that I've had at other restaurants. Overall, everything was delicious, including the banchan! I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. The food came out fast and the staff was friendly and attentive - always making sure we had the side dishes refilled. I would 100% be back!

First off... very easy parking. We tried the Galbitang, Yukgaejang, bulgogi bibimbap, and bulgogi. Banchan was okay. Kimchi was good, I think I could go a tad sweeter. But I'm very glad it wasn't too citrusy. The soy beans were a new thing for me. It was good, drizzled in sesame oil I believe. The rest was ok. Not the greatest Banchan I've had, but it was all right. Bulgogi was flavorful. Galbitang was good. Yukgaejang was not the greatest I've had, but it's okay. I think the pictures were a little misleading because my egg was strips of scrambled egg vs a raw one in the picture that could be mixed in. Their employees are super nice, friendly, and attentive. Restaurant itself was clean. They sat us at this table where this wooden box comes out of the wall. They should probably adjust the tables to dodge that box, because I kept knocking my shoulder on it and it kept scratching my clothes. We could've probably switched tables, but I wasn't that pressed about it. If I came back, I'd try something new. This place didn't blow me away, but the service was so nice and quick that I'll give it a 4.

What I Ordered: Spicy Pork Ribs w/ Kimchi ($41.95) Chicken Katsu Combo ($20.95) Braised Black Cod w/ Spicy Sauce ($46.95) Food: Spicy Pork Ribs w/ Kimchi or Mookeunji Dwaeji Kalbi was filled with thick pork ribs and huge kimchi pieces. I loved how authentic everything tasted, it was better than some of the Korean restaurants in Korea! Make sure to cut the kimchi into bite sized pieces because they come huge. If you find a long piece, cover a pork rib with the kimchi and have it all in one bite. Trust me. The pork meat on the rib was soft, tender, and so flavorful. The flavors were enhanced to another level with the soup base and kimchi being absorbed into the meat. With my first bite of the kimchi, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it tasted different and better than other Korean restaurants. I got to ask the owner and he let me know that they make the kimchi IN HOUSE! Homemade kimchi tastes so much better than store bought ones, so if you want to try kimchi the way that Koreans actually eat it, you need to check this spot out. It also comes out on top of a portable stove so you can keep the food warm all night long. I also got the Chicken Katsu Dinner Combo which came with the katsu, california rolls, salad, rice, and tempura pieces. The Katsu was on the thicker end from other Korean style katsus I've had, which I loved. It comes with a Korean style Katsu sauce, which I personally prefer over the other ones! The other side dishes were good, but the one that stood out to me the most was the salad. I know, I think I'm crazy too. They have a house made blueberry salad sauce that was crazy good. The Braised Black Cod w/ Spicy Sauce or Eundaegu Jorim was also delicious. The fish was marinated well along with other ingredients such as potatoes, radish, and tofu. If you prefer fish over meats, I would recommend this dish! Staff: The staff were all friendly and quick! Servers came up to our table and other tables throughout my meal to check in, which I really appreciated. Ambiance: It's a nice cozy spot in the Cypress area. They are indoor seating only, but I did see some tables outside that they seem to share with the other restaurants. Plenty of parking all around the plaza.

We got crawfish, shrimp, and oysters. The crawfish were decently sized -- a few bigger pieces mixed in, but mostly medium-sized. Still, they tasted fresh and the flavor was really good The Kumomato oysters were just okay. I've definitely had fresher, colder oysters elsewhere, but honestly, I don't come to a shrimp and crawfish boil spot expecting right outta the water oyster bar quality. Overall, Fire Crab hits the craving well. Solid 4 stars all around! Service had great attitide!

The serving size was excellent. It was too much for me, so I got a lunch for work the next day, and it was the perfect amount for my husband. The inside seating looked comfortable enough, we sat outside and it was perfect! We even had the banana dessert and it was so good. Just the right amount of banana to pastry to chocolate sauce. Yummmm!

I came here due to the relatively high reviews. This visit was very disappointing. I had a Thai…read moretea, which did not taste like the usual Thai teas that I've had at many other places. It tasted more bitter. The server did add more cream to sweeten it, which helped, but overall, I did not enjoy their Thai tea. I had the beef salad and updated to the ribeye meat option as the beef is supposed to be more tender. However, the meat didn't taste "more tender". The beef salad was also salty. We also had the tom yum noodle soup and larb salad. Upon looking at the larb salad, you can already tell that it was going to be salty, as other larb salad is not usually that saucy. And sure enough, the larb salad was salty, as well as the tom yum noodle soup. Restaurant itself was relatively small, it had simple decor, parking was easy, and staff were attentive and the overall prices were reasonable. However, the food was way too salty, making it difficult to even finish the meal.
