So far I've been searching high and low for some good wonton soup and boy am I happy!!!! To start off the wonton soup was so delicious. The base was so smooth and so flavorful without being sour nor sweet. It tasted earthy and also had a great stock to it! The wonton themselves were cooked perfectly and tasted awesome! The meat inside tasted delicious and I'm so so so happy it was so ridiculously oily! This will be my now go to wonton soup in Fayetteville. Very delicious!!! The beef on the sticks were decent. I'm not happiest as for it just tasted like well done meat. Not even grilled either just soggy a little bit. Soggy and hard at the same time. I was not impressed. Extremely sweet for something that had no sauce on it too. Was it jerky?... As for the complementary wonton crisps I hated them. They tasted stale and soggy stale too. Not great, but a new batch pleaseeee. But I'm really not mad overall because that soup was so amazing, everything else should be brushed up on a little bit more I believe. Great spot overall! Jin Jin Gourmet is located in what looks like a large, desolate parking lot. However, that makes it easy to park. I ordered off Uber Eats to be picked up a few hours later. According to the Uber Eats app, they started preparing my order shortly before my time window and it was ready by the time I got there. It didn't look like there were that many tables to sit and eat there, but you could if you decided to. When I got home, the food was still hot, so it seemed to be fresh. The portions are a decent size for the price, at least the price on Uber Eats. I haven't compared their actual price to what is on the app. The food taste and quality is what you'd expect from a fast food Chinese restaurant and I had no issue with that. read more

This place is located in a plaza that looks old and run-down, but don't let it fool you! They serve decent Chinese Fast food. I did run into the same issue that has been plaguing me at every Chinese fast food restaurant in NC (see previous reviews), but I hope this is the last timeI make the mistake of trying to order Chow Mein. I even told myself not to order it, but because it has been one of my go-to choices growing up (outside of NC, obviously), I accidentally asked for Chow Mein. I was immediately informed that I probably wanted "Lo Mein" instead. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that I should know this by now. Just give me the Lo Mein please. So I ended up with the Chicken Lo Mein from the Combo Platters menu, which comes with Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll for $7.50. Yes, I got both noodles and fried rice - an awesome deal, usually it's one or the other. I was happy with my noodles, and thankful to have been corrected by the cashier to avoid ordering so-called "noodles" (aka noodle CHIPS) that come as a side with the fried rice. I also tried the General Tso's Chicken, also from the Combo Platters list, for $7.75. They give you a TON of chicken! It also includes broccoli, but you clearly get a disproportionately large amount of chicken compared to the veggies. No complaints here! read more

Didn't receive the crab Rangoon which we ordered specific for someone as half of their meal so that was disappointing. I didn't see the soup I ordered so I asked the driver if the soup was in the bottom of the bag he said "I have no clue" well Okay let me look before I pay. 6 months ago I said "Great service. Great food. Friendly staff." Tonight I had the worst experience. I order from them every month and usually enjoy everything but that wasn't the case tonight. There was a long black hair embedded in the spare ribs I ordered and after sending them pictures of the hair and having their driver return the remaining ribs, they complained and refused to refund me my money. They claimed the hair wasn't any of the employees hair and claimed that the hair was brown instead of black and that it was one of our(my family) hairs(Which unfortunately for them isn't possible because I shaved my head months ago and no one else in our home has long hair). They complained that because we had eaten some of the food (before finding the hair embedded in one of the ribs) they wouldn't refund us. After 3 minutes of going back and forth on the phone with them and threatening to call the health inspectors on them they agreed to refund us $6.25 for the ribs even though we paid $10.75 which is okay I guess. But at the same time if we had dined in would they have handled things the same way or would they have refunded us for the ribs all together? After reading their other complaints I'm pretty sure they would have still complained. UPDATE: I found their response to my husband's review on Google maps and they were very unprofessional. Clearly they had him confused with someone else because in his review he did not even mention the ribs. But they brought the ribs up and constantly call him a liar when in fact they are the liars. I WAS a regular here only because it's in the same plaza where I work, but never again. Yesterday I walked in and placed an order for some fried chicken wings and French fries. After I placed the order I walked out for about 6-7 mins then went back in. I was walking toward the bathroom when the same little girl that placed my order stopped me and says, "You can't use our bathroom unless you place an order first." Mind you I'm 8.5 months pregnant and I'm in their restaurant every week, and I just placed an order. So I'm like, "Excuse me? I just ordered from you like 7 minutes ago, you can't be serious." She looks at me all dumbfounded no apology, no nothing. The owner is standing there and says nothing, so I turn to her and ask her if it's alright if I use the restroom and she says yes. I just feel like the situation could have been handled a lot better. This place has zero customer service and the food is mediocre at best. My significant other and I went to grab some food for take out. I had a question about their curry. Woman taking my order through a baby monitor (due to covid they take orders through their homemade little cubical) couldn't understand me I assume. She became rude and lost all patience on me just asking what the difference was between the sauce and the soup food wise and she shook her head and "shooed" me off! And refused to finish anything. Bad experience! We went here on a Thursday night at 6:15 to place an order to go. The place was busy, all seats at the tables were full with people waiting for their orders to go. There was no one eating in the restaurant. There were three people in the back cooking and one guy taking orders and answering the phone. My friend and I ordered. She received her order 40mins later and we sat there for another 25mins waiting for my order. I waited for my to go order for over an hour! The hot and sour soup was full of shredded cabbage and had no flavor. Moo shoo pork was a small amount of pork and the rest just shredded cabbage that tasted like burnt soy sauce. The orange chicken was ok with exces orange peel chunks in it. The sweet and sour chicken was fine...but mostly breading with itty-bitty chicken chunks. The fried rice had no flavor. The only dish we actually liked was the Singapore noodles. The guy taking orders was so rude and was yelling at people on the phone about hurrying up and ordering and was flustered and frustrated when he had to answer questions about what was in certain menu items. He seemed overwhelmed and emotional. Some customers were very upset that they called orders in an hour prior and they still had to wait an additional 40mins at the restaurant for their food. They also deliver; however, considering their lack of professionalism and lack of producing food in a timely manner, they probably need to stop offering delivery. They should also maybe consult other restaurant business owners who are successful at running a small restaurant and take some notes. We will not be returning here. I think the owner's or an employees daughter was sitting at a corner table watching videos on an iPad, screeching, jumping and having yelling out spurts. Very interesting. read more

Two stars. Problem one: the gentleman was rude on the phone when I asked where they were located and he responded "are you serious? I have so many other callers waiting on the line and you want me to explain to you where we're located?" Now, I understand that Chinese takeout restaurants are typically notorious for their friendly customer service (for any of you who eat Chinese food take out regularly, you know I'm being sarcastic here), however, that was a little over the top. Problem Two: So I get there and the lady at the register tells me my total, I give her my military ID because the flyer from their restaurant with the menu advertises "We Support Our Troops- U.S. Military 10% Off". However, she responds with "we give military discount only sometimes." Only sometimes?! What does that even mean?? I order from them and drive to pick up my food during NC's first snow storm and I expect to get 10% off if that's what their flyer advertises! It really only made a $2.00 difference or something like that and after threatening her to go down the road to a different Chinese Restaurant, she gave it to me. But that's not the point. Then I get home, just to find out that they only gave one small pint of rice for a meal with 3 appetizers, one of which looked worse than something I would have cooked. I've been ordering from this place since I moved to Spring Lake. It's good Chinese take out. They have a fairly wide menu selection with Cantonese And Szechuan takes on all the usual suspects, plus a few house specials. If you like Chinese takeout good chance you'll be happy enough. Favorites are Singapore Chow Mei Fun and Jin Jin Soup. The good: Their best feature is the portion size. I guess it must be the plastic containers the food comes in allows more to be packed in than paper or Styrofoam of other places but their pt or qt sized orders seem to have way more food in them than other places of similar orders in similar sizes. I always like quantity for my dollar. Also they have an easy delivery ordering with pretty quick service, and those plastic containers I mentioned keeping your food piping hot even well after your order arrives. And they'll adjust your dishes to how you want it spiced (e.e. a spicy dish extra hot or the same dish mild, or whatever). The bad: Their prices area little higher than other places; not a lot but a buck or two a dish. The "Thai" style dishes aren't really Thai but maybe more "Thai inspired." For example a Thai curry chicken won't be what you would expect, but Chinese take out style chicken flavored sort of like Thai curry. Though reading my own words maybe that is what you should expect. Not bad, but not really Thai. Also I wouldn't even say this is the best Chinese in the area, I mean it's not bad but for pure flavor I prefer Hong Kong or China Star (though haven't had easy delivery experiences with either of them). Overall though Jin Jin does remain my usual go to choice for Chinese delivery because despite the flaws I listed compared to other places they have easy ordering and delivery.
