I love this place! I came for a table of 2 at 7pm on a Saturday night and it took about 20 minutes to get seated. The restaurant is clean and bright with many 2 to 4 people sized tables. I got the kalguksu combos with bulgogi and bossam jungsik. The food came quickly and hot. The side dishes are all fabulously made. The kimchi had the perfect balance between sour, salt and fermented taste. They actually sell it to go for $7.99. They serve a whole jar which we almost devour it all. The broth of the kalguksu was so comforting like a warm hug. The broth is beef based with a kick of black pepper. The bossam jungsik was really good. The pork was savory and tender. One of my go-to places in Richmond Hill for Korean food, namely kalguksu, massive dumplings, and bossam. You can see the staff making the flavourful and aromatic dumplings in house. You know they're legit when a lot of the patrons frequenting the restaurant are themselves Korean. The kalguksu broth and hand pulled noodles are like a warm hug. Have been here a handful of times already. Some staff can be a little brusque at times when it gets busy but the food is really what keeps me coming back for takeout. Decided to check out Jin Korean Noodles because a) I was in the mood for Korean and b) I love checking out new restaurants. Upon arrival we left our name and contact information for contact tracing and had our temperature taken. We were torn between ordering noodles or trying their hot pot and decided to go with noodles since this a noodle place after all and we're so glad we did! We ordered Meat Kalguksu (noodle soup), King-size Dumplings, and Jaeyuk (spicy pork) & Kalguksu Combo. The star of our meal was definitely the noodles, they were absolutely delicious!! They were so soft and silky and had a great texture, the broth had a deep flavour as well. The combo came with a number of side dishes as well which were all tasty but the best side dish was definitely their kimchi and they provide a very generous portion. The restaurant is super popular and busy with take out and dine in until they closed. When we arrived at the restaurant it was an hour before its closing time and there was still three teams were waiting before us and a couple people came after us. We(3 people include me) had two original kalguksu, one kalguksu and bulgogi set, one kimchi mandu and one original mandu. The soup was very flavourful and both of mandu were very very good. Service was very quick but they were too busy to be friendly(which is understandable, they weren't rude or anything) My criticism for this restaurant, when we arrived at the place, there were no one telling us to put our name on the waiting list and the waitress were super busy. I find food is generally a bit salty side. The portion was not that big and the size of the bowl between regular order or noodle soup and set menu noodle soup was different but the actual portion of noodle in them seems about the same. If I am not craving bulgogi, I would order regular noodle soup and mandu, if I need more food, I wouldn't mind order side rice for $2. Two of the people who went there with me weren't not a big eater but there was only three mandu for leftover after this meal, so the portion is not big. I love this place! I did take one star off because the service was lacking a tiny bit,l. The staff was very friendly but it's hard to get a hold of them, maybe because we were there on a weekend. The food was super tasty, the broth was very flavourful and you can really taste the beef bone. The noodle is chewy and cooked perfectly, you do need to eat the noodle right away because if you leave it in for too long, it could lose the chewy texture and become soggy. I personally prefer the original kalguksu versus the spicy. The spicy pork was my favourite because you can taste the smokiness of the grill and it's seasoned well! Highly recommend it. My bf and I stumbled here last September on a whim and it's been one of our favourite places ever since!! We always get the meat Kalguksu, and it is seriously one of the best I've ever had. (And this is coming from someone who's lived in Korea for a year!). The portions are fair and the milky soup is always full of natural, clean flavour. I dream about it sometimes. We have ordered takeout from here a couple of times, and the taste has always been consistent. The packaging has been great too! The soup is still very warm after a 15 minute drive. Came here 30 mins after opening on a Saturday and it was already filling up quickly! I called earlier in the week trying to book a reso but they said that they don't take reservations at peak hours. Luckily we were the last ones to score a table before the wait list came out so come early! Everything on the menu was very well priced, I ended up ordering the original kalguksu as well as the mandu (dumplings). The mandu was huge! It came out first and was super filling. The noodle broth was subtle but still flavourful and had a strong pepper taste. They were quite generous with the portion and I had trouble finishing the bowl. I think one bowl might be good to share with another person if you want to order more dishes to try. In terms of sides, we only got kimchi and some dipping sauce for the mandu. Overall, great price, big portions and super delicious. Will definitely come back to try more of their dishes soon! read more

Came here on a holiday for dinner and it was packed! Definitely worth the wait though. We got the clam soup noodles, and like all the reviews say, the noodles are super fresh, chewy, and delicious. We also got the pork with rice set, which was good and we loved all their side dishes that came with it! We also tried the seafood pancake - this one is probably one I wouldn't get again. It was so pricey and it felt very doughy with less seafood than we expected. Lastly, we got the dumplings and omg I loved them! The dumpling skin was thin and there was so much filling! Service was really good, but a little slow as they only had two waitresses for the entire restaurant. Interior is pretty and has a nice vibe and environment. Had the bulgogi kalguksu combo. Cannot go wrong with the food here. It fit my purposes very well. It's a very balanced meal for eating out. I'm trying to lose weight and also don't want overly greasy food. If you're looking for food that is inoffensive that's not too bland and not too intense, Korean food hits the spot. I have a sensitive gut and even though I am adventurous with foods, some days I don't want to deal with the aftermath. The beef kalguksu- 5/5 for me. Noodles had a nice texture. Soup was a nice clean flavor. Doesn't try to dress itself up to be anything more than it's supposed to be. Simple and does the job. Little bit of msg, little bit of real meat + broth. I came twice in 2 weeks. That's how good it is. I had the cold noodles and seafood pancake on my first visit. Those were a perfect combo for a hot day, which was almost everyday this summer. On my second visit, I got the clam kalguksu, gyoza, and of course the seafood pancake again! Everything tasted great! I know Koreans like to use a lot of garlic but the gyoza wasn't very garlicky, which I love. Highly recommend the seafood pancake. Service was excellent. The lady there showed us which sauce goes with which food. Although they missed my order on my second visit, but they were very quick in getting the order up at the end. read more

Definitely love their beef bone broth with their chewy noodles, was kinda disappointed with the dumplings. Maybe its soaked in the soup and the whole dumpling fell apart and soggy. Been wanting to come here for a while now. I love kalguksu, even in the summer. I usually go to the one on Bayview but we wanted to try a new place. The prices here are cheaper and they have more options such as spicy rice cakes and cold noodles if you're into that. I ordered the Kalguksu and spicy rice cakes obviouslyyyyy but it wasn't comparable to the one I normally go to. The noodles are slightly different and kimchi the most important part wasn't up to my standards. The rice cakes were over cooked and was so sticky it got stuck in my throat... :( there were some pieces that were just right though...don't think I'll be coming back :( read more

We ordered the $17.99 kalguksu combos that come with a sizzling plate of meat & rice. It's honestly the portion of two full meals. I ate the bowl of noodles and a bit of the meat and I was stuffed, and had to pack the rest of the meat and rice for my lunch the next day. On top of the huge portions, they were both also sooo tasty. Service: 4/5 The service here is great. The server comes to check in on you very frequently. I've been here a couple of times now, and will continue to come back! Their Kalguksu is super yummy, and I love getting the set that comes with Kalguksu, Jaeyuk, and rice. Their kimchi is really fresh and portions are good. Overall restaurant ambience is quite nice, but head's up it's really loud inside and often have to wait for a table in the evenings. I finally had a chance to try out this place, a new Korean restaurant in Richmond Hill, known for their mega-sized dumplings and kalguksu (knife cut noodles). I got a bit of everything for take-out, was quite impressed with all the packaging and portions. The noodles were good, very smooth and chewy, a bit soft for my liking probably because it was take-out. The dumplings were yummy, wrapper was thin, pork filling lean and had lots of veggies. I came here once when indoor dining was available and had the hotpot meal with my friend. The lady that served us was so nice and we enjoyed our food. It was definitely a big portion and we could hardly finish hahaha. Today I ordered some take out and was pleasantly surprised that everything was still hot, fresh and delicious! Came here for dinner on a Friday night around 6.30 and there was no line for a table of 2-4. The inside is really new and clean and felt like the tables were well spaced out. The table by the door can get really cold though! but they were nice and switched us to a table in the back when we asked. We got the king sized dumplings which attracted us here in the first place. The size is big and the skin was soft. The flavour however was a bit bland but still worth an order. We also got the seafood noodles - the noodles itself were so soft! the soup is perfect for a cold winter day and a large portion size for one. We also got the bossam combo, the meat itself was again soft and it came with a good variety of veggies to wrap it in. The tray it came in was also really cute with lots of little side dishes. The table also got a container of kimchi but I wish they had a few more sides for everyone. read more

It's obvious here that everything is homemade goodness. We come for lunch and dinner, and there's usually a good lineup. Every stand of noodle and every drop of broth gets slurped up to the very bottom of the bowl. Def order their dumplings - fabulous thin skin dumplings bursting with meat or kimchi stuffing. Terrible and bland food. They Try to use chili oil to cover the bland beef soup, can taste nothing but the chili oil and flour taste of the noodle. Terrible staff attitude. We 3 people order one combo and king size dumpling since 2 of us didnt feel hungry enough to order more. Two staffs gave us offensive and aggressive look. One by one asked us about the amount we ordered. Fine! We ordered one more noodle so they finally backed off. If you have a rule each person must order one food item, why not just impose a minium charge? We just dont want to waste food. This is the most awful experience i had in markham. read more

First time trying Jin Myungdong and it was sooo good! The kalguksu was so yummy - noodles were made so well and the broth was also delish. The dumplings were also packed - full of flavour and ingredients. Definitely recommend trying any of their noodles. The resto also gets pretty packed at dinner time so do plan ahead! read more

The kimchi side dish was way too salty but the right level of spiciness. I liked each of the dishes we ordered - the bossam combo, the dumplings, and the bulgogi jungsik. The side dishes were a bit smaller than average portions for the jungsik meals, but each one tasted pretty good. As with most Korean restaurants, they do give you more if you ask. 4.5 stars mostly because we got delivery so that affected the noodles a little bit. Short version: The food was tasty and you should definitely try it if you're in the mood for Korean food. Detailed version: We ordered through Uber eats and got the bossam kalguksu combo and beef bulgogi jungsik. It was more than enough food for 2 ppl. Let's start with the kimchi because it was SO GOOD. I think they make it in house because it tasted so fresh and delicious. Seriously, one of the best kimchis I've had since Korea. The meals also each come with banchan which are the little side dishes - 6 total and they probably change those out often but the japchae was a little hard like it's been sitting a while or not cooked enough. The bulgogi came in one of those black plastic containers pretty much filled with a lot of meat and the sweetness in the marinade was perfect for me. The bossam in the combo came with about 8 pieces of sliced pork I think? I forgot to take a picture and started devouring it right away so don't really remember now. They give lettuce, spicy radish salad, ssamjang, and the salted fermented little shrimp dipping sauce to make wraps. Onto the kalguksu - the beef bone broth was *chefs kiss*. I don't feel especially thirsty after drinking all of it so I don't think it had a lot (if any) msg. Since we got delivery, the noodles were a little stuck together by the time we got it so that would be the only complaint. Overall, great tasting food and reasonably priced. I will def give it a try dining in when it's safer to do so and see how it is fresh from the kitchen. read more
