Decent ramen. Not the best but also not the worst. Ordered the karu Tonkotsu ramen containing a Mild. Creamy and rich, full flavor broth created from slow cooked pork bones. Served with chashu pork, pork seasoned boiled egg, and shishito peppers. Topped with shredded scallions, sesame seeds, and black garlic oil. Thin Noodles as well. The music was very weird and did not flow. I get it was maybe trying to be inclusive but it was everywhere. Rock, then hip hop then asian, then rock, then pop, then rap. Service was okay. Could've been better considering there weren't many people dining while there. The yozu drink was exceptional and was super happy I got it. Very refreshing and tasty.

My friend, husband, and I came here for late night dinner. It's definitely tightly seated in there so not ideal for big group. Our server was friendly, but service was a little slow. The multiple menus were a bit overwhelming but realized the menu with the pictures and the menu without the pictures were the same menu (probably could've only done one of them lol). We got the chicken gyoza and edamame for appetizers which were delicious. For food, I did the chicken teriyaki Don rice bowl. My husband and friend got the Shoyu chicken stock house ramen. All the meals were super good and big portions!

trekked over to hamilton heights to visit a friend and we grabbed some dinner here. turns out this restaurant actually made it to the michelin bib gourmand list :O their menu is full of the classic appetizers and ramen dishes that you'd expect to see at your average ramen joint. the portion sizes here are massive and definitely worth sharing with a friend! otherwise you'll have plenty of leftovers like we did what we ordered (* = my faves): -drinks: spicy yuzu*, butterfly pea tonic -chicken nanban buns* -kani salad -kakuni (braised pork belly) ramen* -shio ramen -chcoolate cake unfortunately the dessert we wanted to try (swiss roll cake) was sold out, so we opted for the chocolate cake instead. it was good but definitely ate that cake while we were a bit disappointed :') the kakuni ramen was a little bit sweeter than i expected, but it was still savory enough to satisfy the rich ramen broth itch. i think shio ramen is underrated, and this spot did a good job with it! a little bit *too* salty for my taste, but that's what shio ramen is supposed to be right? the chicken nanban buns were definitely a top favorite dish of the meal, they were packed with flavor and each bao bun was overflowing with delicious saucy chicken. also the spicy yuzu cocktail was super interesting, i didn't think i'd be able to finish it given i'm SO bad with spice but i did it! the bottom of the drink was where all the spice ended up... finishing that drink was a fun time XD.

Over priced for the quality provided. It is not an authentic Japanese food. The service is a little below average.

The spot is special (literally, you head below street level to get in), which somehow makes it feel even more like a NYC secret you're in on. Small, cozy, dimly lit in the best way, and staffed by people who are genuinely warm. We started with the tempura sweet potato fries and dumplings, both of which disappeared off the table fast. I went with the shio truffle ramen homemade chicken broth, homemade chicken chashu, half ajitama, bean sprouts, menma, shiso, truffle paste, and nori and it was easily one of the best bowls I've had in the city. The truffle paste takes it from "great ramen" to "why haven't I been here sooner," and the homemade chashu is so tender it practically melts before you even chew. Five bowls at the table, five very happy campers. Bonus: it's a quick stroll from Central Park, so pair a bowl here with an afternoon in the park for a genuinely great NYC day. If you're hunting for an authentic ramen bar that nails both the food and the vibe, stop scrolling , this is it.

The interior is decorated nicely with Japanese and anime-inspired elements, which adds to the experience. Upon arrival, you're greeted by the staff in a unique and energetic way. They have a wide variety of menu options, ranging from ramen to rice bowls. I always opt for the curry ramen, and it's one of my favorite dishes here. The cutlet is crispy, and the curry broth is rich, flavorful, and delicious. The service is also great. The servers are always attentive, ready to answer questions, and quick to refill waters whenever they notice your glass getting low. Food comes out quickly as well. Overall, Kin Ramen is a spot I find myself coming back to again and again whenever I'm craving a good bowl of ramen.

The tables, floors, and bathrooms were all very clean. This will be short and sweet. I ordered the Shrimp Bao. It was very good. The shrimp was crispy and tasty, but I think there should be 2 per order. One was not enough. 5/5 for taste 1/5 for quantity. I also ordered the Oh So Hot ! Miso. This consisted of pork and chicken broth, spicy ground chicken, spinach, bean sprouts, cabbage, and nori. I ordered it spicy, but I should have gotten it hot instead. I like spicy food, and the spicy needed more kick to me. But it was delicious. 5/5 Til we eat again...

I was NOT a fan of their mushroom friend rice. It was a plain white rice with sauteed mushrooms and corn. That's it. I expected a bit more and fresh ingredients especially for the price. I thought the rice would be at least been fried? I asked for some soy sauce and spice just to add a bit more flavor to it. However, our service was great and I cannot say enough kind words to the staff. The rest of our company enjoyed their food. My partner ordered a ramen which he enjoyed and wished there was more ramen options available for being a ramen (advertised) restaurant. Overall it was a good experience to try!

No complaints, except that I guess I prefer Tonkostu (pork bone) over Paitan (chicken bone). I appreciated sitting at the bar to watch the lone ramen monger stir around the next batches of broth, hand-torching some chashu; boiling, whip-drying, and gently nestling my noodles, then manually laying out the toppings. The dish feels real, personal.

This spot delivers the kind of authentic paitan that reminds you why people used to line up on cold sidewalks just for a bowl. I ordered the Paitan Ramen Deluxe, and it genuinely lives up to the name. The broth is silky, rich, and comforting without being overly salty which is exactly what a proper paitan should be. The bowl comes loaded: tender shredded chicken, seared chashu, marinated soft-boiled eggs, fresh scallions, bamboo shoots, and a sheet of nori that ties everything together. Every topping tastes intentional, not just filler. The texture balance is what really stands out fatty chashu that melts, shredded chicken with real flavor, and noodles that hold up beautifully in the broth. You can taste the care in the soup base; it has depth, not just heat or salt. If you loved Totto Ramen back in the day, this feels like its modern successor same spirit, new precision. Toribro isn't trying to reinvent ramen which they're just doing it right. And in NYC, that alone makes it worth a visit.
