5-star Korean fried chicken. 3-star ramen. Jinbei West's menu is an array of choice along the broader Korean-Japanese fusion (think bulgogi don). It's nice to see these flavors complement, but the selection is crazy big. The good thing about it is that it'll suit a range of tastes. I've had curry ramen and curry udon so I was pretty happy to see katsu curry ramen. I had to ask the server if I ordered the right thing since I'm used to curry being a much thicker consistency. She said it was so I went with it. The katsu was A+ but not the rest. It was just okay. The thing that really stands out is the Korean fried chicken. It's double-fried to absolute perfection. The gochujang glaze is sweet and lightly spicy. I'm daydreaming about it writing this. Takes about 20-25 minutes to come out. You've been warned. I had the Jinbei West cocktail. If you like something super sweet, like a non-frozen slushie, this is for you. Otherwise, it was over-the-top sweet for me... but still a nice departure from my usual. Our server, Zoe, is awesome. Ask for her. She's a "vegetarian" though so don't expect any meat suggestions.

Not a fan. It's just ok. Ramen bowls are quite small when compared to what you see in pictures. The taste was also not what I expected from Jinbei. The noodles tasted very generic? The gyoza comes aaa steamed or fried at your request. This is a bit of a difficult choice. When Japanese think steamed, it's top steamed and fried crunchy bottom. So not sure what they mean by fried here. Streamed in this case is Sui-Gyoza. Very different. Wasn't that great regardless. The Karaage, another staple of Japanese style fried chicken, not great either. Lastly, they post 11am opening time on their door, but don't actually open till 12pm, sometimes. Couldn't even get a straight answer from server. From a "Japanese" point of view, I'd probably try other things here. Korean Fried Chicken seems to be a good bet, but I'm going to be hard pressed to come back here when there are plenty of other better and cheaper options near me.

    Kamikaze roll - must get!

I was little skeptical since Jinbei had too many specialities between ramen, sushi, and K.F.C. that I thought it would be underwhelming. You know, simple is always best and sometimes trying to do too much sets you off for failure but this place does it all. Granted I didn't try the fried chicken this time, ramen and rolls were decent! I was told that the Naruto ramen had a bit of kick but while I didn't taste this, the chasu were good and the broth had depth. On top of it all, noodle texture was on pointe. For rolls, some were on par while the Kamikaze was outstanding. Would definitely come back for this and alike. One of my other favorites was the lobster toban. It had great presentation and flavor. It's buttery good and highly recommend it! Some of the drawbacks were that I thought the place was a tad small and I felt little claustrophobic. Also, while our server was friendly, there was some mishap on the ordering and the check. Suggest that the service gets little tightened but understand that they're still pretty new. Oh but the worst was the uni shot. I thought it would be like One Sushi's yellowtail shot in a pretty presentation with dab of sauce but it was a literal soy sauce drink. Would not recommend this. Overall, left satisfied and will be back! Glad that there's a solid spot in the Peachtree Town Center now. Little bit of background on Jinbei West is that it's a sister restaurant to Yakitori Jinbei in Smyrna.

My go-to sushi place. Customer service here is amazing, the servers here recognize me and know my usual order because I come so often! Love the godzilla roll but everything on the menu is amazing and always plated beautifully. Sushi is so good that I never need soy sauce, it's flavorful on its own. The naruto ramen is also great, as is the matcha crème brûlée, takoyaki, and creamy rock shrimp. It's also a cute little place and never too loud, a good playlist of music in the background, and has outside seating when it's nice out. I like that you can substitute soy paper for seaweed in the rolls as well!

Really enjoyed the food. The restaurant is on the nicer end. The ambiance and price point gives more date night/out-on-the-town vibes than dinner with family. At the same time, I was there with my toddlers and there was a family with toddlers sitting across from us too lol. So, family night, date night... they both work here, which is great. The food was good. I enjoyed the katsu curry. The ramen here is less broth-y, more food-y than others. I would've been fine had I not gotten the extra noodles. If I was at the Forum and wanted ramen, this is the go to spot. It definitely adds to the glamour and diversity of the plaza, which is why this place is so awesome!

Wow! I'm impressed. I was here on Friday after with my cousins for a quick sushi date and we were so impressed! This restaurant has been on my list for a few months, as they opened recently and did not disappoint. The ambiance is very intimate and sleek and our server was phenomenal! They were actually filming a tv show and we got to give some cool feedback and be included. We started with the seaweed salad, yellowtail and Korean fried chicken. Everything was amazing and flavorful, no complaints. The yellowtail that I was looking for with the sauce topped with jalapeño is actually hamachi, which we ended up ordering later. We then proceeded to order the crispy tuna, 2 Godzilla rolls and desserts (the crème brûlée and the mango cheesecake). The mango cheesecake wasn't as sweet as I'd imagined, definitely more on the bland side but the glaze made up for it. Otherwise, no complaints and I'll absolutely be returning! The prices are also moderate.

    Peachtree Corners roll

I'm hardly on Yelp anymore, so if you see any review from me it's either really good or...the opposite. Thankfully Jinbei West was emphatically the former. We ordered the Peachtree corners maki roll which comprised of yellow tail tuna, avocado, a nice light ponzu, with just enough jalapeño to provide a slight crunch and tickle on the palate. The quality of the fish was atypically on point- very smooth and no sinews gumming up your bites. The roll was both well conceived and well executed so that the fish is the main character, not the other elements. The bulgogi bento box was solid, and it came with 4 pieces of California roll, a simple salad green mix with a nice sesame based dressing that tasted like it was made in house, and miso soup. The meat portion was slightly on the smaller side, but still adequate. My expectations for ramen here in Atlanta at large are decidedly...not high. However, the tonkotsu ramen (made with both pork and chicken) was a standout! Perfectly seasoned so that you want to drink every drop out of your bowl, and not so rich so that you actually can do so without feeling like you're going to fall asleep in the next half or after eating. The half boiled eggs were perfectly executed and marinated the right amount, and there was plenty of bamboo to accompany the two thicker slices of chashu that were perfectly charred/caramelized. If i were to use two words to describe the food at this place, it would be "understated excellence ". And that's meant in a completely complimentary way. This is really good food. If your palate appreciates nuance, you'll like it here. Don't look for flaming and creamy excesses of unnecessary flavor- you won't find that here. The service was competent, although our waitress needed to slow down just a bit when explaining the bento specials. The ambiance is decidedly more hip than this father of three young children, and would be a good date night/lunch spot. Seating mostly suited for two to up to four people per table, with some sushi bar seating. Prices are on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Along with Rakkan Ramen just up the road in Johns creek, Jinbei West is yet another excellent Japanese ramen/sushi joint that will hopefully stick around for the long term!

    Nigiri & Sashimi Platter

I had their black cod last time, and it brought me back here today! It's still as good as the first time I had it! The black cod was just unbelievable well seasoned, fresh and I really enjoyed the fat part of the fish. So delicious! Today I also tried their nigiri and sashimi platter as appetizer, there were chef's selections 4 nigiri and 6 sashimi. It looked expansive for $45/plate, but they were very fresh and I can't complain. I finished my lunch with the green tea ice cream. It was nothing special than the ice cream from other places in my opinion, but it was definite a good dessert to have after a fishy entree. Lol I loved everything I had today. Definitely will come back for the black cod again and try other things on their menu!

New Japanese/Korean restaurant located @ Peachtree Corners Town Center so def a great location!! The restaurant is a tad bit small tho. For someone like me who needs a lot of space when I eat LOL. Victor, our server, was attentive & kept on coming back to check on us. Really enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) as it was super crispy on the outside & super tasty, not to mention hugeeee portion!! Lol I'd def come back for the Kamikaze Roll, it was so flavorful!! The Naruto Ramen was a bit lacking IMO & the broth wasn't even hot. I do want to come back to try their Omakase tho!!

Very disappointed, bad Coustomer service, I walked in with my service animal and was kicked out by the manager/owner "Mike". This guy was rude and not polite. He didn't want to see my credentials for the service dog. It is against the law to refuse entry to patrons with a service animal.

Sea urchin nigiri, sashimi sampler ( top right)
    Weiyan L.

I ordered sea urchin nigiri $17. The rice was really hard. It tasted like over-night rice. Definitely not fresh rice. Sea urchin part was alright. It was dark colored, small portioned, doesn't have the sweetness that fresh sea urchin has. Sashimi sampler $19. It has 6 pieces. Average rating. Nothing surprising. Total for these is $38.16 after tax. I think it's overpriced for such small portions of food.

    Nigiri with bones!

Outstanding ramen, incredible fresh noodles, and excellent service from Aaliyah…read more Okiboru Ramen Takumen in Duluth was absolutely worth the visit, and honestly, I'm just mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back.

I got a tofu rice bowl, which I typically don't get and it was delicious! I asked if the salad could be put on the side rather than in the bowl and was given a full side salad that I wound up mixing into my rice lol. I also added broccoli to the bowl, which I probably wouldn't do again because it was pretty bland, but overall the bowl was good. Now the vegan dumplings... were FANTASTIC! We shared the dumplings and everyone agreed that they were easily the best thing that we had eaten the whole day. The green color threw me off at first, but the crispiness and texture of the dumpling was amazing. I would love to go back and try the ramen to see how it measures up, but again, great experience. Also, when you are paying the check, they bring you a small bucket full of dum dum lollipops, which I thought was a great touch.
