We were a little hungry on our Fourth of July night and were craving sushi so my boyfriend and I took a trip to kumo sushi as it's close to our friends place! We did arrive a little bit before the kitchen closed but they were still willing to get us seated and serve us as well! Lots of parking spaces in a very spacious shopping center make it easy to find parking! Once we entered inside we were greeted by a very sweet waitress who sat us and got us drinks immediately. She gave us time to heck the menu but also slightly rushed us as she wanted us to get our order in. We ordered a lot as we were hungry! We ordered, pork gyoza, Godzilla roll, crunchy California roll, rainbow roll and tuna roll along with some chicken fried rice as well! Everything came out very quickly and was quite thorough. Presentation and plating was amazing and the flavors melted on your tongue. Once we got out order in and served we really got to relax and enjoy the food. The place looked nice and had a full bar, so it started off with a good first impression. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill as soon as we said we weren't interested in the all-you-can-eat option. It felt like no one came back to our table after that. When our waters were dropped off, I asked for a Mai Tai. The person may have just been a food runner and not our server, but he should have either told us that or found someone who could help. After waiting about 15 minutes with no drink and no one checking on us, we had to flag someone else down. We found out my order had never been entered, and once it finally was, it still took another 10+ minutes to make. The Mai Tai itself was strong, but it was overly sweet and seemed to be lacking the pineapple juice that gives it a more balanced tropical flavor. We were then told they don't have assigned servers and that anyone can wait on any table. In reality, that system wasn't efficient at all and resulted in poor service from start to finish. The calamari and shrimp were just okay, but the portions were very small. The calamari was overcooked and chewy. The shrimp honestly tasted like the frozen breaded shrimp you can buy at Costco--nothing about it stood out or tasted freshly made. The sushi was decent, but by that point the lack of service had completely overshadowed the meal. To top it off, we asked the same employee who brought our waters for to-go boxes, and he never came back. I'm still not sure what his role was, but there was a clear lack of communication and accountability. Unfortunately, the poor service made it hard to enjoy the food, and I wouldn't return. read more

I really like that everything is ordered directly from a tablet it makes the process simple, and you can easily keep track of what you've ordered. There is a five-minute wait between placing orders, but I actually didn't mind it since it helps keep food from being wasted and gives you time to enjoy each round before ordering more. The sushi was fresh, well-prepared, and came out quickly. Everything we tried tasted great, and the quality definitely exceeded my expectations for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. My biggest piece of advice: come hungry! You'll want an empty stomach so you can really take advantage of the menu and try as many different rolls and dishes as possible. Who doesn't love all you can eat sushi? This place is really nice with a full bar inside. We were seated right away as it was a Tuesday and wasn't busy at all. The menu is by tiers so we selected the gold tier which was $35pp and included sushi, nigiri, ramen, fried rice, I mean literally anything. They have booths, half booths, bar, and table seating in a clean and modern decor. I started with several appetizers. The squid salad was nicely flavored and on a layer of English cucumber sliced flat like noodles. I also had the teriyaki short ribs and both pieces were seasoned nicely. For my entree I had a rainbow roll and an eel roll. The rice was properly cooked and ingredients were good. I finished with strawberry mochi ice cream. The restaurant is spotless with a bright, inviting ambiance that gets you excited for the meal ahead. Kumo Sushi is an AYCE spot, but it's not a buffet setup--everything is made to order. Each table gets its own iPad for ordering, and dishes start arriving fresh from the kitchen shortly after you submit them. The variety is great, with generous portions across appetizers, sushi rolls, nigiri, ramen, udon, hibachi, and more. I especially love that they even offer Kalbi as one of the options! They also have a fun selection of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, so you can find the perfect pairing for your meal. And don't skip dessert--there are a couple of sweet options included with the AYCE menu. Overall, Kumo Sushi delivers great value, solid quality, and an enjoyable dining experience. I love the tablet ordering system, it makes for quicker service. Highlights: The yellowtail jalapeño, Wagyu nigiri, and sexy city roll. I ordered the yellowtail and Wagyu a couple of times during my visit! The sexy city roll was sooo refreshing! Lowlights: The rock shrimp, spider Handroll, and kumo popper (not pictured). The rock shrimp and spider hand roll were nothing special - they actually tasted a little bland and were just nothing to rave about compared to my highlights. The kumo popper was my absolute least favorite - 0/10. I actually sent it back. It was overly greasy and I couldn't stomach it. Of course this is what I get for ordering something fried like this at a sushi spot but I like to try a variety of foods at restaurants. All things considered, the sushi was fresh! $60+ for an AYCE with a 90 minute time limit isn't so bad when they have a lot of offer. Staff is nice and quick for everything that you order. The "Diamond" offering includes Sashimi and I went here to get exactly this so that I could walk out with Mercury Poisoning and I'm ok with it. I ate so much Escolar that I might not remember anything bad about this place by the time I finish this review. Which if the rating is 5 starts, that might be the case or might not, you decide. The place is welcoming with a weird statue rabbit in a space suit as you walk in. I'm not sure what this is, but it's cool and I want it. The space is larger, with plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the only bad thing I have to say is I was sat next two two young gentleman catching up after what I assume has been 4 years since graduation that they have seen each other and gone off to college. Because somehow I know now more about their last 4 years than I recall my own last 4 years, thanks to Covid and this political satire that is the United States at the moment. Their ordering menu has a lot of really great appetizers to start off with and I went with the "Yakitori" which was just chicken on a stick. Very good and very basic, but a lot of bite for the portion. I then went for their Salmon Tar Tar, which is a puck of salmon with spicey may mixed with tempora crumbs and avacado. The flavor was lacking, but was better with a little soy sauce and wasabi. After this...I gorged myself with 3 plates of sashimi with Salmon, Tuna, Escolar, Red Snapper, Conche, octopus. All pretty fresh with the exception of the last plate, which was not as cold as I am pretty sure they had to thaw out some before bringing it out. If you're solo like me, bring a pair of headphones or ear plugs to save having to listen to tables around you. My daughter and I finally tried this on a day school was closed. We came on a Monday for lunch. We chose the all you can eat for an adult and child. You can choose the tier for all you can eat. I chose the basic one. You get 90 minutes to eat and order. During our visit the iPad you order from glitched and froze us out from ordering which was inconvenient and they were not the most helpful to resolve. For the most part the food was good. It wasn't wow. But I would return for lunch if I had an appetite. My daughter wanted sushi and she had two orders. We also had miso soup, fried rice, chicken hibachi, ramen, Philly cheesesteak eggroll, cucumber salad and crab salad. It's a new location so it is clean. The location used to be a Jason's deli. Hopefully Kumo is here to stay because I think I found my new favorite local sushi place. It's about $35 for gold tier all you can eat and honestly for the price and what you get it's worth it. Everything in the all you can eat is made as you order which in my opinion is a million times better than a buffet where you risk the food sitting out, getting cold, or even dealing with flies (have seen at other buffets). Don't go in expecting like Tomo or Umi but the sushi is solid and you get full size rolls (8 pieces) which is insane. The honeymoon and crazy tuna are some of my favorites and the salmon nigiri is pretty good. You order off tablets and the food comes out pretty fast. Service is great! The staff is super friendly and refills drinks extremely fast and clears empty plates fast as well. It's really nice and clean inside with plenty of seating. I would highly suggest Kumo for anyone who wants some good sushi and doesn't want to break the bank. read more

This place is for real a legit spot for all you can eat sushi! It's off the 141 by the Dicks Sporting Good store across from the LA Fitness. So I needed food. Post work out and of course the necessity of protein was definitely something I needed because... gains. Again, social media comes to save the day when a social media vlogger content came across my page and he reviewed this spot. So of course I had to try it myself and being that it's near me, it only made sense. The service here isn't all that write home to. All you can eat places have just generic service and seeing that it's an all you can eat spot, they don't really do much in terms of service. Everything is done via a designated tablet. They set you up as a paying customer, based on your choice (with dinner time, you're starting off with the Gold version but you can choose the Diamond) of what level of sushi you want to eat, then you order what you want by plugging it into the tablet and then send the order off to the kitchen. The servers then bring out your order. Being that it's all you can eat, you can choose just as much as you want to your hearts content. The ambiance here is fantastic! It's well lit, clean, spacious, and most of all... clean! Now for the food. It's sushi. It's not fresh per se but it is definitely clean. You won't get fresh sea to table fresh so a lot of the fish did have a light fishy smell to it, especially the salmon but overall, everything was flavorful and done right. Their rolls are small and compact with 6 bits of your choosing per roll. Their nigiri is rather basic but again, it's sushi. Salmon, tuna, and yellowtail are fantastic. They're spider roll and unagi are also top notch as well. I do also thoroughly enjoyed their ramen and udon. Granted, it is all you can eat which means that the broth they use are probably the same as I tasted no real flavor difference between the tempura udon and their tonkatsu ramen. The broth was the same broth. The udon was delicious and the tempura shrimp cooked nicely. The tonkatsu ramen also done nice with the chashu albeit was a bit bacon like rather than having a thicker mouth feel that ought to be how chashu is, but it took none of the flavor away. I did also try the chicken yakitori but wasn't a big fan of it as the chicken was stringy, tough to chew, dry, and whatever the marinade was didn't help. All in all, for a $40 dinner for about 7 rounds of sushi done in about 45 minutes was pretty good all things considered. Definitely a recommend. read more

I really enjoyed the salmon hand roll! It was so fresh and was packed with salmon. The udon was pretty good too, I enjoyed the tempura. All the rolls were so good and packed with flavor! There was so many to choose from. I also highly recommend the Tuna and salmon appetizers. The pepper on the tuna was soo good and paired well with the fresh tuna. The only roll I don't really recommend getting was the fried California roll. It tasted a little stale and did not come out hot. The hibachi was also a little on the sweeter side which wasn't my favorite. I would say the rolls did take a bit to come out so we were definitely hungry when waiting but definitely understand the wait since they're still new. Overall, definitely a good price for the choices you get. Would probably want to try the premium set next time for some nigiri. The space was so new and clean as well! read more

Tried Kumo for lunch on Sunday. The tuna tartar tasted like the crispy stuff was stale, and it looked nothing like the pic in the menu. The hand rolls did not fit into the nori, but were tasty. I've only ever had hand rolls as cones so this was weird. Also the filling all spilled out when I picked it up. The yellowtail, Rangoon, Philly hand roll, and the pork bun were all good. The honeymoon roll was gross, and I tried a couple pieces trying to figure out why people rave about it, but couldn't eat any more of it so I left it. A friend had recommended this place to me and my wife. She said that this place was all you can eat sushi and hibachi. I was hesitant at first, because I always feel like there's a catch to these kinds of things. But I was proven wrong! There were 6 of us total (our friend who had recommended it to us and her husband, and two of our other really close friends.) It was about $65 per person. They have different tiers, I believe 3 different tiers, and we did the gold one I think. There is one more tier above gold, and this includes more of your expensive items. But the gold, in my opinion, is PERFECT!!! You order via a little kiosk and they bring out your food to you. Honestly, it was pretty quick. One small thing to note, you can only make orders every 5 minutes, and you have a two hour time limit to eat. But this is not a big deal at all, because you order a lot of things, and 5 minutes have more than passed by, by the time you order again. They have literally everything: soups, sushi, appetizers, nagiri, sashimi, hibachi, even dessert! Our group shared everything, which was perfect, because we could all try everything. I was hesitant of the quality of the food not being good, but honestly, everything was SO GOOD. The sushi was good quality and not cheap at all. They have a large selection of rolls to choose from too, the hardest pick was picking which one! The hibachi was good too, and it was also nice that it was like a smaller portion, not some large portion. It's perfect for when you want to try a bunch of different food. We got A LOT of food, but we all finished practically everything. There are a few things that aren't pictured, like the spring rolls, crab rangoon, and a few other things. But everything was so tasty! And for the price you pay, you can't beat it at all! Our server was really friendly too.
