I've really tried. When we first moved here a couple years ago, we were frequent flyers in this restaurant. Sometimes coming in 2-3X a week. Over the last year, the service has declined. The last 5-6 times I've ordered to go, my order has been wrong. I went in there today for an order and it was wrong, again... I wasn't treated respectfully when I asked if I could look over my order while the young lady rang up the check. She refused to hand me the bag of food until she finished ringing me up and handed my card back. My kids love the food, but I refuse to spend any of my hard earned money there again. I got takeout vegan spicy creamy ramen and caramelized cauliflower with pine nuts and mint. The cauliflower was pretty bad. So oily and not "caramelized" at all. The creamy spicy vegan ramen was definitely not super spicy more of a warm kick. So creamy. Noodles were a great texture. Amazing flavor. VEGAN - So many vegan options! From my experience the go to veg/vegan ramen options are heavily mushroom based (not for me) but Jinya has gone above and beyond with their menu options. They have a huge selection of options with Impossible 'meat' or tofu with lots of veg. SERVICE - all of the staff was friendly and helpful and judgement free zone if you need a fork ATMOSPHERE - was pretty hip with a graffiti mural on the wall, fake plants everywhere, and a super cool wood feature above the bar. Went to lunch with my friend today, since this is one of her favorite spots to get ramen. Got seated right away, and service was fairly fast. The staff were super friendly and timely as well. On the table they had different sauces to add to your food to enhance the flavor. Loved their chili hot sauce they had! I decided to try their California poke bowl (regular size) instead of ramen, and it was very good. If you aren't into a lot of cilantro, this dish wouldn't be for you. A quick search for "best ramen in Omaha" led to my dinner at Jinya Ramen. I went on a weekend at 6:30PM and found it to be quite busy but was able to find a seat. Service is always quick and my waiter was happy to help provide suggestions for the group. Today, I got my go-to spicy tonkotsu.    Spicy Tonkotsu -Spicy tonkotsu ramen with sliced pork belly, scallion, fungus, bean sprouts and noodles -Delicious! I've had plenty of ramen and I'd say Jinya does a great job. The broth is rich and flavorful. The noodles were light, soft and chewy unlike other noodles that can be too dense Pork Gyoza -My favourite part of the night. The gyoza were crispy yet easy to bite into. The flavor of the meat filling was amazing. I'd recommend getting this!   Jinya Ramen was an excellent choice to get my fill of ramen. There's only a few good ramen restaurants in Omaha, so it got packed tonight. Also, their ramen is a bit pricier than I'm used to since there's few good quality ramen restaurant competition (previously only ate ramen on the west coast). I've previously been to JINYA on a date night a couple years ago and for takeout one dreary Covid lockdown night. So I know quality is usually pretty good. The place is clean and perfect vibes for a dinner with friends or family. Service was excellent as always. Presentation of the food was a bell on par with what I have previously experienced. The jalapeño butter corn did not meet our expectations. Ended up, mixing it into my tonkatsu black. The caramelized cauliflower was better than the corn. Very strong lemon essence to it. The tonkatsu was OK. It wasn't as spicy as I remembered. I know on the menu it doesn't give an option for spice level because it says it's going to be spicy. So I was a little disappointed in that but I'm not gonna make a big deal. It was fresh and warm. My youngest had the dumpling one. I did not catch which one it was specifically name wise. But he got full on the dumplings fast and had to take the Ramen home. My aunt got the salmon tacos and a quinoa salad not pictured. She ate everything on both of her plates so it must've been really good. Lol I cannot comment as I personally don't enjoy quinoa so I wouldn't try it. We will definitely be back to give them another. Both mom and gma wanted the veggie ramen but with chicken broth, one with tofu on the side and one with brussel sprouts on the side. Eric R. wanted spicy tonkotsu but with thin noodles not thick noodles, and I ordered the karaage special ramen with a side of brussel sprouts. The broth was packaged separately from the veggies/noodles/proteins for everyone and each bowl was labeled. The toppings were on the side, and my karaage was on the side also, thus staying crisp as fried chicken should be. Mine had half a seasoned egg too, yummy! I've had the ramen at Rizin and Yoshi Ya and then I think Jinya might be my favorite. Don't be deterred by the tiny entrance at the end of the strip mall, the place is actually very spacious and deep and tastefully appointed. While I've been here previously for a date night with my husband, I personally chose to go here today for Mother's day because I knew it wouldn't be as busy as the brunch places. Also, it was a rainy/dreary morning and ramen is a perfect antidote for such a case. We started off with an order of edamame, gyoza, and fried chicken thighs. Everything was delicious- edamame was ya know...edamame, the gyoza had a nice ginger flavor with it, and the fried chicken thighs paired well with the teriyaki sauce. I got the OG Ramen and it was super filling and flavorful! The thing that stood out about this meal was the service. We technically had two servers and the male, in particular, was extremely attentive and accommodating. That says a lot because one of our kids was being particularly difficult. Changing her mind, complaining about the food, and spending half the meal with her face to her knees. They were gracious and even my oldest daughter noted that the service was above average. We came on a Saturday ~545pm and the place was packed except for the hightop/bar seating. We opted for the hightop. When we arrived we were shortly thereafter greated by all staff in Japanese (it seems sometimes they did this other times they didn't based on seeing other parties get seating$. For food, we had the spicy tontaktsu and spicy miso ramen. Both were generous portions and had a good flavor. I think the tontaktsu was a bit light on the meat (I think 2 pieces) but still good. We also tried the seaweed salad, pork bun, gyoza and fried chicken. Based on other pork buns I've, this was one of the more expensive ($5 for 1), and the bao consistency was different than I've had in the past. The gyoza had a great flavor and I would get these again. The frier chicken gad a great flavor - I think it could have used a spicy mayo or some sauce. As to service, it was spotty. It started strong, but when we needed some more water, we didn't see our server for a while. read more

Now that I've come here a few times it's safe to say I enjoy getting ramen here. The menu isn't too extensive but has just enough variety to satisfy even the most picky eaters. My boyfriend and I love the tonkatsu black ramen. It's a rich taste with nori, pork, and a soft boiled egg to boot. The flavor is full and tasty. I also love that when you eat inside you have the option of getting more noodles added to your bowl if you need! The third time I came here I tried the salmon mini tacos and though they were small they were full enough of taste and crunch to be worth trying. I'm still eager to try out their happy hour at some point and give the pork bun a try. The atmosphere is open and fun. The variety of eating areas makes it a little different. After searching their locations list a few months ago, I noticed Omaha on the list and knew I would be passing through in a few months (yes, this meal was planned out months in advance ).
