So, I got the seaweed salad, a JINYA Bun, the Jalapeño Butter Corn, and the Salmon Poke Tacos. The flavors were really good. The portions were a little small. I finished off with the Panna Cotta. And it was amazing! I'm usually not a desert person but it was truly awesome; not too sweet with cubed graham cracker crumbles and (I think) mint on top. This is an awesome ramen spot! I've been twice and both times I definitely couldn't finish it. First time I brought a friend from college and the second time was a date night on a Friday. We were seated right away when we walked in at 7:30pm on Friday. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen and loved it! It had a good amount of kick, but not overwhelming. I enjoyed that there were a lot of different flavors. We also tried the octopus balls (titled something else on the menu), which were also very good! I'm not 100% sure that I would spend $8-9 for them but hey that's how appetizers work for you. My only critiques are the price and the small print on the menu that is hard to read for those of us with poor eyesight. Other than that, I had no idea Jinya was so good! I had tonkotsu ramen, a steam bun with pork, and their house lychee cocktail. The steam bun was light and flavorful, the ramen was filling and fresh, and the lychee cocktail was balanced, garnished, and served chilled. Super super glad to find a JINYA out in Nebraska! I love JINYA in LA, so this was a really nice surprise! They're open during covid-19 and taking takeout orders via grub hub or by phone. My favorite dishes are definitely the tonkotsu black and the sprouting up! This location also offers the option to upgrade to a combo for a few dollars so you can get a few appetizers! The ramen is super flavorful and really hearty! The crispy chicken is also great! This was a really good meal (even as takeout) - they separate the ramen and the broth so the noodles don't get soggy by the time you get home. I travel a lot. Everywhere I go I try to find a good Ramen shop. I was surprised to actually find a great one here in Omaha. The shop itself is humble and unassuming, but don't let the exterior appearance and neighborhood fool you, when you step through the doors you are welcomed with a very open and rather well laid out shop. Modern design, friendly staff and plenty of seating make this place very warm and welcoming. Most ramen shops are small, compact, and communal. This layout gets away from that model while providing a more American dining experience which I enjoyed. My wife had the vegan Ramen option and I had the Tonkotsu Black. The broth for both ramens are excellent. I love garlic and bold flavors and the brother for the both these dishes were bold and flavorful. The staff and servers were all very friendly and helpful with providing suggestions to customize our ramen. We also tried the fried brussel sprouts and the steamed buns. The sprouts were perfectly fried and the batter was the perfect blend of flaky and salty without being too oily and overpowering. The steamed buns left a lot to be desired. I just wasn't a fan of the cut of pork used and the flavor just seemed bland. All and all it's a great place and I will be returning on my next visit. If you are local, you should really cherish this spot good ramen is hard to come by. If your in town on a visit make it a point to drop in, you won't regret it. read more

I was so excited about coming here because it had great reviews and it was in walking distance of where I was staying. And let me preface this by saying that the food is OK, but it is very chain restaurant feeling and tasting. The service is impeccable, but almost too quick. They are there every time you finish a dish, every time your drink gets low, almost to the point of being obtrusive, but yet they're so nice. I'll start with the salmon poke tacos + the steamed bun with pork. The tacos were nothing special, but that steamed bun blew my mind, the first one I had anyway. I then ordered the JINYA Tonkotsu Black ramen. It was really tasteless, but that egg saved it. I wish I had more of those. I ordered another steamed bun that came out and was so disappointing. I have no idea why it wasn't like the first one, but it wasn't. That first one will live with me forever, the second one, I will never think of again. But, anyway, it is a very nice place, it has decent food, but for the price that I paid? No absolutely not. It was expensive to be a chain for sure. His memory was sharp and proficient, thinking of all the customers he has had during that time, he even remembered the type of Japanese beer I ordered. Sooooo much better than the one in Houston!! Went here after a visit to UNMC today and it was perfect ramen weather. Got there and we were greeted by Brian who is the man! We took forever to decide and he was so patient and worked with us with all of our picky needs! Making the broth less salty and then no veggies for some of them. They were so accommodating and patient!!!! The food was so freaking good! The best though is the seasoning sauce. I was literally putting it in everything! The broth itself was tasty and clean but I totally drowned it in the seasoning sauce. I also asked for fresh garlic which was a game changer!!! The moment you enter JINYA it feels a bit more elevated than other places. The art and ambiance are not too loud or distracting and I love that there are no TVs and I love that you can enjoy the sound of your food being prepared. The service is OK and I like that they don't hold my card hostage aka taking forever to charge and return it to me. The ramen is great! I love that they have different kinds of noodles to choose from and they have the thicker and chewier noodles that I associate with ramen. My favorite flavor is the black and it's always rich and satisfying. The only real complain I have is that their ramen egg is well done and doesn't have the nice runny middle that I love. read more

Loved the crispy chicken, I recently moved from San Francisco to Des Moines & I haven't had ramen and chicken karage in awhile Chicken was super crispy and crunchy I also got the chef special Toyko Tonkotsu Ramen, I was sadly very disappointed, I supposed I didn't really look at the menu too in depth because I was surprised by the random uncooked chopped white onion in my ramen that completely threw off the taste. It's decent food, we got it because we stayed in a hotel around the corner within es walking distance. Average flavor and a bit over priced due to the noodle portion size in my opinion. I usually get Ramen from a top shelf spot back in Denver so I am a little spoiled. The broth was a overly salty and had a very oniony flavor, not what I would call tonkatsu but it was edible. The "onion" dressing that comes on house salad is straight up garbage though. We only got the tonkatsu ramen and the house salad so I can't really speak to the rest of the menu. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile as I drive by it frequently on Dodge Street. We finally tried it tonight for take out. I got the spicy chicken ramen. We also got the jinya buns. Wow. I am very impressed by their food. The broth was packed with flavor and a good spice level. The ramen came with plenty of noodles. The chicken was tender. The jinya bun was incredible. The pork belly was so tender and the bun was super soft. Despite us getting take out, the bun held together well in its transport back to our house. I was in Omaha for work and wanted to grab some ramen before heading back to Kansas City and JINYA hit the spot! Ordered the Gyoza to start with and finished off with the Tonkotsu Spicy Ramen with added tofu and seasoned egg. The Gyoza had a nice sear yet really tender once you bite into it. The ramen broth was rich and full of flavor. But what really made my experience 5-stars is the excellent service given by Brittney. I love a great bowl of ramen and Jinya Ramen in Omaha doesn't disappoint! I had the spicy umami miso ramen and added a spicy egg, pork chashu, and garlic. OMG, it was amazing! The broth is nice and spicy, just the way I like, and the broth is so full of flavor. You can tell they put a lot of time into making their broths. The ramen noodles are perfect, the chashu is nice and tender, and their spiced eggs are wonderfully seasoned. I ordered the crispy chicken for the grandchildren and they were delicious. My daughter had the spicy chicken ramen and she loved hers a well. The service was great and prompt. The soup came out nice and hot, the way I like it. I paired it with a Karin Ichiban, my favorited Japanese beer. They have a nice selection of adult beverages. The ambiance of the restaurant is chill and beautiful, kind of upscale casual. I'm from Seattle where the ramen spots are very good so I tempered my expectations coming here. The decorations inside was fantastic and I really enjoyed how safe the waitress was with wearing her masks and keeping the tables clean. In terms of the food we ordered pork buns, edamame, the beef udon, and the tonkatsu ramen. What I found so odd was that the ramen had avocado and corn in it which just wasn't very good since those don't go in hot ramen. In my beef udon I wasn't blown away by the broth and to be frank it was quite salty. Not as light as I expected in a udon broth. But where I took stars off this place was because the meat that was in my ramen were just giant chunks that I couldn't chew. They were tough and impossible to eat to the point where I was tired after chewing for like 10 minutes. I am 25 btw so it's not like I had dentures. The bill was around $50 and plus tip came out to closer to 70. I loved the decor and service but I just wasn't satisfied after my meal and I felt like the price didn't justify the experience. I ordered tonkutsu spicy noddles.The noodle soup is tasteful,and the noodles is not too soft. I really like the two pieces of pork,very yummy. Let's start with the food. I chose 4 different dishes to get a overall feel of how they prepare their food. Each dish lacked sodium and required i use soy sauce. Truly an underwhelming experience and i was actually quite disappointed with each dish. The Japanese taste was completely missed on each one. It's almost an insult to call this Japanese inspired. The seasoned egg was over cooked, the broth lacked depth, the wontons were simply just meat filled and had no other elements to them. The rice bowl tasted the same completely one dimensional and isn't worth $8 to $11 it costed. The ramen is lacking in depth as well, and pretty much just taste like a milky chicken broth. Now for the actual complaint. Although they may give you a shrimp option on the menu, they give you chicken and shrimp in the dish. The taste of shrimp is almost holding on to the last little bit of hope it has to actually be noticed. The size of the cups they gave you for sauce is absolutely disgusting compared to how you actually need to make your food actually taste like something. If you're looking for authentic or even something closely resembling actual ramen, suggest going somewhere else because you aren't going to find it here. read more
