Went to visit JJ coopers for lunch on Sunday March 25, 2018 around 2:30 in the afternoon. I couldn't tell you if the food is good or bad because I never got served. I sat at the bar, waited about ten minutes but the bar tender never even to acknowledge my existence. I got up and left. On the way out I saw him chatting it up with a few girls at the end of the bar, I gave him and the hostess a thumbs up and said to them both "great service". They both giggled, they could care less if I was served or not. So guess what, I will never return or will I ever recommend anyone to go there. It is unfortunate because "Sutton Place" (their former name) was where "the girls" would go on a Friday night out. An absolute disappointment!! Definitely a zero!! read more

I couldn't wait to try out the newly renovated Sutton Place, we went on Thanksgiving eve so it was crazy busy packed and loud! Thankfully we sat upstairs which was much more peaceful for dinner. The waiter was very nice knowledgeable and funny and super attentive! The drink menu was a little disappointing in the craft cocktail section, a little too fancy in my opinion and not enough options! I went with the Watermelon Nobility which was really good and flavorful with the perfect amount of heat and liquor. The menu was another issue for me, while there was a lot to choose from on it. There were no real "entrees", no chicken or steak dish's no real "appetizers". We went with the Wings to start, we chose the Spicy Korean BBQ sauce which was amazing! These wings were crispy to perfection! No soggy wings here folks and the sauce Yassssss amazing! We also went with the Corn Crusted Rock Shrimp Tacos and lemme tell you! Just amazing I wanted 10 more, what I will say with the tacos it was $12 for 2! That's $6 a damn taco and while they were so good that is insane for such a small starter! Next we ordered off the Small Plates section, I got the Braised Short Rib with Risotto and my husband got the Skirt Steak Panini, both very tasty! But another issue, they put our appetizers down and not even 5 minutes later they put down the dinner, poor timing! There was so much food on the table at one time that our dinner started to get cold while we ate our starters. We also ordered the Bread Pudding for dessert, it was just okay. The bread pudding itself was good but the apples on top were cold and it looks like someone went a tad crazy with the whipped cream can. Overall if you can find something you like on the limited menu (which was not posted anywhere online) the food is top notch but for sure they need to work on the timing. read more

Went on a Saturday night. Was seated promptly for our reservation. Atmosphere is good, a little louder than some places but they had live music that night. Food was great. We pretty much sampled all 4 corners of the menu with our friends getting one of the sandwiches and a steak while we had chicken and fish. Apps and salads were great. All cleaned our plates... But fifth star goes to our sever Corinne! She was personable, professional and genuinely funny. Gave us several great suggestions. One of my favorite LB restaurants for sure! I've probably eaten here 100 times and I always get amazing food, drinks, and service. Staff is always friendly and do their best to accommodate special requests. Even if you're just stopping by for a drink at the bar, they always have new fun drinks to try out. Not a good experience. After. 40 minute wait and watching others get served ahead of us a party of 2 and a simple flatbread and salmon dish I warned that if these dishes were not right we would not be happy. Fillet mignon flatbread was cold and salmon was lukewarm and dry I ate the 1/2 flatbread it was good but cold. Replaced salmon with ravioli which was good. No apologies and nothing offered for our wait time and cold food. Manager was not helpful and complained we only had an entree after we had 3 drinks. I almost never write a bad review but felt after management did not take care of us properly. A drunk should have came off without asking. His excuse was we are full tonight. Not a valid excuse for cold food and slow service. Keep up poor attitude and you won't last. read more

This is such a great brunch and dinner spot! You can't leave with out getting the Mac and cheese or burrata salad!! They have such a great variety of wings, their garlic parm wings have actual parm cheese and garlic so you can't get better than that! Anything you try will be great! read more

Not COVID Compliant in my eyes. Went today, Sunday at 2:30 pm and the bar was so overly crowded. No way is the bar in compliance with the 6' feet social distancing rule. Nassau County Health Department should be called to investigate. The service was beyond horrible and the food was way overrated. I charged the bill on my credit card and was charged an additional Credit Card Fee. I came all the way from NYC. Never coming to this place again. read more

Very disappointed JJ Coopers! A place I've always enjoyed dining in with family and friends. I dined there last night for the second time.. First time was fine, tables spaced etc. Second time we were given regular menus instead of paper. The inside of my menu was dirty and sticky and totally grossed me out! They seat you but never tell a waiter or waitress u are seated. They sea completely disorganized. A few of the waitresses had masks but not covering their nose. Yesterday I had a party of 50 at JJ coopers. Long Beach declared ecoli in our water the day before. I could not have been more impressed with how JJ coopers handled the ecoli precautions and the overall party. It was a massive success. I also wanted to show a slide show on the tv which was also accommodated. They were so professional and accommodating. The food was awesome too!!! Literally can't even think of a complaint! First of all if you haven't been to the new newly renovated JJ Cooper's you are missing out! The place has a whole new feeling that is spacious and inviting. Going out alone is easy as the staff is friendly and my favorite mixologist Vicki always knows how to make u feel right at home. I've dined here a few times and it's always been great. Due to Covid my husband and I had to make a last minute decision for what we wanted to do for our wedding. We decided to scale It down and plan a backyard wedding. JJ coopers was recommended to us and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Not one complaint from any of our guests! The food was AMAZING and Rob really helped us with our very last minute decision to make our wedding a backyard wedding. He made the process so incredibly easy and helped us make the right decision on what to pick and explained why we should pick one thing over the other. 10 out of 10 would recommend!! read more

This is the first review I've ever written on a restaurant, but the way my family and I were treated on Valentines Day of all days warrants it. I went to this place about 6 months ago and the food was amazing - they taken a huge dive since then. The appetizers were served frozen and had to be sent back. The surrounding tables had the same complaints. The menu doesn't give all the information about the dish so you get surprised when dairy products are spread all over your meal and you're lactose intolerant. Then the entrees arrived cold. When we asked to have the meals replaced, management said there was nothing they could do but they'd comp us for the meal we never got to eat. This place sent my 4yr old Son home without dinner so we were forced to spend Valentine's day at Burger King instead. I've never been treated so horribly in my life - stay away! read more
