We used JJ septic about 6 years ago. We just had our septic drained again and found out that our septic tank has 2 lids. JJ did not tell us that when he did it and only drained the liquid side and left all the solid waste. So some of the solid has leaked into our leach lines. So basically we got screwed and only had half of the tank pumped! And the guy was not very friendly!!! This time we used sludegbusters! These guys did a great job. read more

I hired this company to do a septic inspection and pump. The inspector used a jackhammer to dig and find the lid. In the process he completely damaged the lid with the tool and now it needs to be replaced. I called them and was rudely informed they don't cover the damage they cause, even though they have liability insurance listed on their site in the case they cause damage to your property. I was unable to get any information about how to contact the owner about this. I was informed I will be contacted by the owner on Monday. We will see. I will never use this company again. I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Worse service ever. The service guy that just came out, was complaining the entire time!!! He didn't do the service, and tried to double the price with out letting me even explain. I don't appreciate someone saying "omg" the entire time because he was to lazy to even do the job from the beginning. Our usual guy we use is closed due to covid-19. We bought a house and were told by the seller that it was on city sewer but SURPRISE we're on septic. And the when the sewer gasses started up, they were horrible. JJ Septic came out to give the tank a pump and educate us on how to care for it. They also gave us a referral for a tank replacement/repair contractor. These guys are awesome. Fair price, super friendly, and accommodating. They send you a reminder post card when its time to pump again (2-3 years depending on number of people in the house). My septic tank is in a difficult spot but it was no problem. They gave me some tips on finding and digging up the lids which saved me some money. There is a charge if they have to spend more than superficial amount of time getting to your septic tank lid. Some businesses feel like they are squeezing you for every penny but not JJ Septic & Drain Service. If you have a septic tank use them! read more

Did JJ Septic clean my tank? Yes, it was cleaned. However, driver Dan was very unprofessional. He never responded to my repeated "good morning". He ignored me. His first words were to complain about difficult access to my property. When I made the appointment there was no discussion about size of my road, size of his truck so I had no idea there would be an access problem. He broke one of my lids upon removal. When finished, I asked if he was going to restore the lids the way he found them. He said NO. The dirt covering the lids will be OK. I called the office to complain and the office manager apologized for him. Needless to say, I won't be calling this company for any further service. read more

Rude be on rude! When I called to complain Scott called me out and wanted to meet me in the nearest alley. They didn't even know what my third lid was for. They said it was probably a pump. How can you supply and charge for inspection service if you don't know what kind of system it is? I don't believe that they are truly license to do certifications? There out is you need to hire a licensed septic contractor for that the service. Isn't that what I paid for? They didn't have the tools to remove my stainless steel screws. Stripped out most of them and when I asked about them not being replaced. I was told they would've never worked. But they did for years. They didn't even bother to put my lids back on correctly or even fill all the screws back. These guys were great. Easy to schedule with and good service even when I made everything a little harder by being a rookie. What I thought were my lids were not and so when my guy showed up I could tell he wasn't thrilled that they were still in the way. But he realized I just didnt understand and helped me move these giant concrete covers to get to the lids. He also took the time to tell me what was going on as he was doing everything and wasn't bothered that I asked a lot of questions. She talked about what we should look at and for. How to prep for the appointment and even answered way too many questions we had. Not friendly. The technician seems not motivated to work. They charge service fee for NOTHING! I should have listened to our friend's referral at the beginning, but needed the service sooner. I ended up using my friend's recommended company. The company gave me the info and recommendation work and fees up front. Finished the work quicker than expected. read more

Called JJ Septic & Drain to do some diagnostic and pumping of septic tank. $400 and just 10 days after a pumping, the septic tank was full again and seeping. According to serviceman there is nothing they can do other than come and charge me another $400 to pump again. He said they won't fix the problem and that I should call a septic contractor. What the heck is JJ Septic & Drain Service, LLC if not a septic contractor? I would not use JJ Septic & Drain Service unless you want to wake up one fine Sunday morning to the sight of your dogs in the backyard wallowing in your families sewage. read more

These guys SUCK! NO NOT USE! If I could give no stars I would. Not only was the service technician rude, but he and the Service Manager Scott do not know the current San Diego County codes for septic systems. We verified with the County of San Diego.
