I had a very easy experience getting an on-site quote. I received 3 quotes for this job. 2 quotes, including this one, came in around $7100. I went with a third one at around $6700 (which included an additional mixing valve) and am very happy with my decision. Overall price was not a big part of my decision, but brand of water heater was. After doing some research online, the most recommended brands are AO Smith and Rheem (GE). Both higher quotes were for Navien, which has only been making heat pump water heaters for 1 year, but I was told that it is the most reliable brand. I did not understand how this claim could be made, given how short the duration of evaluation for this product. Even the worst appliances usually work for at least a year. So I requested a quote for AO Smith or Rheem, which I did not get. I'm not sure why my brand request was not honored, but it made me question whether I should go with a company that either has communication issues or maybe some type of deal with Navien that I was not informed about. Many water heater installers are preferred installers of certain brands, which means they can get better pricing, etc. I did not want to be a guinea pig for Navien.

I went out for lunch at noon 4/25/26 and came back to a mess with a toilet overflowing spilling onto the floor + my shower & bathtub coming up with brown water. The other toilet wasn't working as well since I arrived 4/23, I had gotten quotes and was debating on calling a plumber, but having no toilets and not wanting to poop myself i decided to call a plumber in an emergency. I called Precision plumbing as my aunt had good experiences with them. They picked up immediately. Leo got me his technician Larry to come on a Saturday to fix my overflowing drain & Toilet seal. With both toilets down I called him around 230pm, his tech came in around an hour later and was able to resolve everything for a great price and everything was very cleanly done by Larry in a few hours. I had been quoted on yelp $600 to 700 4/23 to change the toilet valve, and I had assumed snaking the drain/ repairing the other toilet would be 1200 to 1500, + the overflow had popped the toilet wax seal, and precision plumbing got all those things done for under 1000$.

I called Precision Plumbing and they came out the same day within a few hours. Leo was very professional and started right away. He was able to snake the main sewer line and found the problem (so we thought). He gave me advice on how to help keep the pipes clean. I thanked him and that was that. But the next night around 9pm, the shower and toilets started to over flow. Luckily the toilet water was just water. But the shower pipes started to back flow dirt and sludge. I called Leo again. And he showed up in about 30 minutes. He snaked the pipe again and found a second clog that was the main suspect. Once he cleared the second clog the pipes went back to normal. He apologized for not getting the second clog the first time and did not charge me anything for going back on the second call. Over all I am satisfied with precision plumbing. I will use them again in the future.
