Just started working in the area, and was very excited to see an Asian restaurant (their menu has items from many Asian countries) which had such rave reviews. I got the pork belly bahn mi. The bread was mushy and spongy with an almost sourdough taste, the pork belly was very grey and looked as though it was expired, and the pickled vegetables didn't bring much flavor to the party... I saw other dishes being prepared in the open kitchen, as I was waiting for my order; from my perspective it didn't seem like the used the freshest ingredients. I stopped by on a business trip. This place was nestled into an office park but had some really good reviews. I ended up ordering the miso soup and a teriyaki bowl. It took probably ten or fifteen minutes to get my food but it was worth it. As I sat there I also noticed a lot of people coming in from outside, which meant they're popular and have more business than just the office park, so I knew the food was going to be good. It was delicious. The miso soup was made very well and nice and hot. The bowl was also really good with a good amount of chicken and the fried rice was quite tasty. Stopped by for a quick lunch one day. Service was friendly and quick. The places gives off a very mom and pop shop run vibe. Location is a little bit of a hole in the wall so you might miss it if you're not actively looking. Overall would recommend if you're in town or in need of a fast meal. read more

This place is incredible. Authentic Japanese food at extremely reasonable prices. Seriously a shame it is only open for breakfast and lunch. Ordered TERIYAKI CHICKEN DON (BOWL) $7.99 through Foodsby for the 2nd and LAST time. The first time, no problem, fresh and delicious. This time, some of the chicken had a hard rubber texture that caused me to question it's freshness, like it'd been microwaved or frozen and cooked too quickly...so of course I ejected it into a napkin and stopped putting chicken in my mouth. Gross! It's impossible for me to enjoy my meal when it's been "compromised" in some way. Food poisoning is no joke. Also, while I'm here, the bowl is supposed to contain some veggies; and it did, like 1/4 cup, which is hardly anything. Disappointed, never again. It's just chicken, how difficult can it be? 1 star because the delivery was on time and still warm, even though the rest of it sucked. Great sushi at a reasonable price. Love coming here during lunch and grabbing some of the different rolls they have to offer. I have not tried any of their sandwiches or bowls, but my coworkers love them. They also offer pre-made bento boxes for lunch and dinner. read more

This place is a hidden gem! It's a tiny little eatery tucked inside an office building. They have a great variety of Japanese comfort food as well as some other Asian inspired and more American style fare. I think most items are ala carte, but they do have some special combo deals. Portions are on the small side but that was just right for me. I had the goma-ae with avocado as a side to my soft-shelled crab sandwich. Both were amazingly refreshing. I also got some hot tea and tried the mango and green tea mochi ice cream. They were probably the tastiest mochi ice creams I've ever had. I wonder if they make them fresh. The people were very nice and it was a very chill atmosphere. They seemed to have good relationships with the regulars, cracking jokes and all. That's always a good sign :) read more

Who would have thought that there would be an amazing Japanese lunch spot in the middle of an office park in Edina? JK's Table has the best vegetarian options in probably the whole of Edina. So far, I've had the Curry Kitsune Udon and the Spicy Veggie Sushi Bowl - both were fresh, flavorful, filling, and frugal! The staff is super sweet and very accommodating. This place is LEGIT! I lived in Japan for 4 years, so I know my sushi. If you're looking for an authentic Japanese quick meal.. This is the place. I've only been 2 times and I'm hooked! I don't want to go anywhere else for sushi/ Japanese food. Nothing compares to the quality of food here and the way they prepare the food is very detailed and meticulous. Tried this place for the first time, and I definitely will be back. I ordered the chicken gyoza and the chicken bahn mi sandwich. I wasn't as big a fan of the sandwich, but that's because I'm not hot on cilantro. The gyoza were good, the restaurant was clean and spacious, and the employees were all incredibly nice. Normally pretty good but today I had the yakitori beef ball bowl and it was a salt bomb. Each meat ball tasted like a teaspoon of salt plus a lot of salty sauce was drizzled over the bowl. When I asked for the rice to be replaced, the lady gave me a scoop of additional rice instead...??? Their dinner bowls are good though... just so disappointed with the beef balls and the response to my request to replace the rice, not the entire bowl. read more

Update 2 years later and I still love this place as an option for lunch. My one and small complaint is being charged .50 cents apiece for extras like cilantro and jalapeno. I get charging a little something but for a few slices of jalapeno or sprigs of cilantro, .50 cents each seems a little steep. After reading some of the reviews for this place, I decided that I had to definitely give it a try. I've noticed alot of people mentioned how busy this place can get and since I only had a limited time span for lunch I decided to go ahead and order a head of time. The woman on the phone told me it would be approximately 15 minutes. I decided to try the Spicy Tuna Bowl and the Steam Chicken Gyoza. When I got to the restaurant, there was a line of about 10 people. I went ahead and waited in line to pick up my order. Suprisingly the line was not as bad as it seemed. Alot of people went up and ordered their food and right away went to sit down. First off, for the price, the portions were were definitely worth it. Both items were under $13, which is definitely a great price for me for lunch. The spicy tuna bowl was amazing. SUPER SPICY. Its very similar to a hawaiian poke bowl however, the flavors are a little different but still amazing none the less. The gyoza was also good (nothing amazing) but good.
