Food not good, staff hygiene questionable. As I'm building-my-own bowl, I get to the ingredients. The meet looks like most Mongolian BBQ places (frozen chicken, beef and pork). The veggies were ok looking, except for the white onions (which were greenish) and the carrots (which were dried out, brown, wrinkly and had liquid and brown stuff sitting in the bottom of the tray). When I ask if they could bring fresh carrots, the girl brought out the container from the back and was about to just fill up the container that was already there. I pointed out that the carrots in there were bad; she then took out that tray and brought a new clean tray and began to fill up l. Those carrots were almost as dried out and wrinkly. While cooking my bowl, the guy ask if I wanted to add anything. I wanted pineapple, but the tray was empty, so he went to the back to get more, leaving the other 3 peoples food cooking before mine to sit on the hot grill for ever a minute without stirring. He came out and said someone else is bringing out the pineapple. The woman (owner or manager) comes out without gloves and touches the old tray as she sets in the new tray with her bare hands. overpriced in my opinion. our toral was $43.00 with no drinks. ( two bowls and one extra add on of noodles.) located inside the Moreno valley mall. The concept of this establishment is that you pay a base price and you build your own Mongolian bowl for the to stir fry! the bowls are on the small side so it def limits the portions. you'll have overflow as you pick your options. Our cook was on the slow side. granted it was 4 people in our group. it took about 30 mins for out meal to be ready! sauces were good! ill give them that! i think they need a bigger grill to fit the demand of a large rush of customers. noodles were actually good! remind me of buffet noodles. so they will be filling. dont think ill be back for me it was merely the prices that will keep me from coming back. thats all. read more

As someone who likes stir fry, I was delighted to discover this restaurant at the mall. The menu is easy to understand and staff were friendly. Be aware the there is a .99 charge for extra rice and $1.99 charge for extra noodles. I appreciate that staff provide customers with gloves to use while gathering items to create their own meal bowl. I enjoyed the variety of fresh ingredients such as carrots, spinach, onions, mushrooms, green onions, green peppers and others available to create your own culinary masterpiece. I was pleasantly surprised to see tofu as a ingredient choice! After gathering my ingredients to create my meal bowl, I watched as an employee cooked my ingredients on a giant cooktop. During the cooking process, other employees asked did I want any additional ingredients added to me bowl such as teriyaki sauce, garlic, or ginger. Once my food was ready, the employee asked if I wanted the noodles topped with sesame seeds to which I replied yes. As with previous visits to this restaurant, the food was hot and delicious. If you're someone who enjoys stir fry, I'd definitely recommend you give this place a visit. read more

I ordered two bowls. Two. I walked away to help my son buy food from another restaurant and I came back to one bowl. I told then young gentleman that I had two bowls and he basically said he must've mixed it together and then put the food in the bag and walked away. Since I didn't feel like causing a scene, I just ordered pizza from Sbarro. It did taste good. I'll probably give them another try. read more

LOVE coming to Jochi!! Hands down the best Mongolian BBQ spot I have ever been to. Most places are rude and stingy. At Jochi we are always greeted by friendly staff. I don't feel rushed at all or like I'm being watched while I prep my bowl. I love that they even provide a glove meaning you can pack your food down! Most Mongolian BBQ spots don't let you do that. They are also fair with the amount of noodles you get! Jochi is always clean and stocked as well. Overall 10/10. I was highly skeptical of a Mongolian BBQ at the mall but I was hungry and it looked better than the other spots. I decided to spilt a bowl with my wife and I'm sure glad I did as it was a lot of food. There are no other locations beside this one and it's an experience. Difference between people asking what you would like on your food and them plating it and then you doing it yourself, is a nice change of pace. You pick the meats that you want yourself ( literally, of course they provide the protection of a glass shield and gloves for you to get the food ) Then veggies ( a lot of options ) and then you can ask the cook what sauces they would recommend. You get rice with your food and have the option of adding it to your food while cooking and of course noodles as well! What a deal for only about $12 ! Honestly, I couldn't even finish it by myself. Good enough for two ppl to eat. Good price/good meat/good veggies/good sauce I just wished the noddles had a bit more flavor but I think it's has to do with the person choosing the ingredients. Horrible service from employee Brandon. Other two associates were great. Watched him drink from a cup, then dip the entire cup in the ice reserves to get himself ice out of the cup he had drank from. There was miscommunication with my order, he refused to help me, waited for the girl to come back from break because he refused to give me my order because one of the kids wanted noodles instead of rice which was $1 more. I said that's fine I will get a refund and erring it without the tip and supposedly no one could help me except the manager that wasn't there. The nice girl that helped me came back, I explained to her what happened and she tried to call the manager and it disconnected during the call. I left my food there, and will charge it back instead since no one could do a refund without the manager and re-ring it. The other young man was very nice also. Hopefully the owner sees this and watches the video to see Brandon dip his cup in the ice at 6:08pm. He refused to switch out the unsanitary ice too. The health department needs to pay them a visit. I waited 20 minutes to have my order taken and then I had to wait another 20 minutes to get my food on the stove and then another 10 minutes to have my food ready. The worst part is is that some of the items in my food were still cold! I waited so long and I really don't think it was even worth it at all especially for the wait and food quality. I was between 4 and 5 stars but, what the heck, I'll tip to 5 stars. I love Mongolian BBQ. There are a few others in town and I believe I did reviews for those too. This one is in the food court in the MV Mall. I really enjoyed it. If I had a criticism it would be about the price. The other two Mongo BBQs in town have a lunch special. This one is $12 all day, every day. It is enough for two meals or two people so keep that in mind. Rice is extra unlike the BBQ on Sunnymead. But this one beats Sunnymead hands down in friendly customer service. You pay, they give you an empty bowl, a bag with a napkin and fork, a glove, and a tray. You move from right to left, starting with the meat you want, then the veggies. You do get to do it yourself which is great. The one on Perris does it for you (for now). The huge plus I will give this place is you don't have to worry about stacking noodles in your bowl. They provide the noodles for you at the cooktop. So, that means you can use your bowl to stack more meats and veggies super high! Another slight ding to the Mongo BBQ is they only have two flavor choices! Light or medium. The Sunnymead BBQ lets you select all your own sauces, I do like that. The one on Perris at least has 5 choices. I went with light and I have to say it was very good tasting. They cook on the cooktop and put it in a carboard box. There is plenty of seating in the food court. So, maybe 4.5 stars. Definitely worth going if you like Mongo BBQ. read more
