We visited Wednesday afternoon at lunch time to celebrate one of our employees retiring. We all ordered the lunch special of pizza with salad or breadsticks and drink for $5.25. Our drinks came out quickly, followed by our salads and/or breadsticks but the pizza was a very, very long time coming. Our waiter brought out pepperoni pizza slices and said "I know you have been waiting 20 minutes for your pizza so here are some pepperoni slices to hold you over." Many did not eat the slices he brought because it is not what they ordered and/or they don't like pepperoni. The pizzas that were ordered (4 meat lunch special and the daily special) finally came about 30 minutes later. If these are lunch specials they should be pre-made back there and ready to go. When it was time for our check, the waiter was back in the bar serving someone. He finally brought our bills and took our cards. The whole experience was a lot of waiting for what should have been a quick "lunch special" lunch took well over an hour. Drinks were not refilled like they should have been either. Some of us that had regular Coke got refills but those of us with diet or tea did not. Mine had been empty for a long time and I wasn't offered a refill/to go cup until the waiter took my bill to pay. The food was good but the wait time will seriously make me reconsider ever going there for lunch. Don't go here if you are in a hurry to get back to work. read more

After writing a 1 star rating for their mistake on my pizza the other night, I feel it only right to give them a 5star review for offering a credit in the sum of my original bill. Jockamo's is flat-out one of the best pizza places in Indy, let alone the nation (I travel a reasonable amount for work...and stand by this. It's not hyperbole). To be fair, they are (from what I understand) part of an excellent pizza lineage here. We eat exclusively at the bar - service is great, staff are very helpful and friendly. Solid wine selection and locally sourced beers. Prices are way reasonable. Favorites are the Cheese Louise, Baja (I have ask for "easy" on the fresh jalepenos - and I'm a spice lover - they don't mess around with those), and Slaughterhouse Five for the meat-lovers out there. For something different, the Thai and the Bollywood are good choices, too. We haven't really explored the sandwich menu too much - but I am a total pizza nerd. Thumb's up, all around. read more

So the pizza was not hot by the time I got home and I warmed it up in the oven and still it was mediocre. I ordered the slaughterhouse five and the caprese. I've ate there before so I expected it was going to be delicious but I was really disappointed. I also ordered the cole slaw which was the worst item I ordered, I've never tasted cole slaw that bad ever. I really wanted to give a great review but I just can't believe how bad it was. read more

On Saturday, August 15 I tried to order a pizza from Jockamo . For forty-five minutes I tried off and on to call Jockamo to order pizzas and appetizers . The phone would ring for over 30 times and then someone would answer it and put it on the counter ; so all activities in the restaurant could be heard .Those activities sounded like the employees were having a great time fooling around . I was on the phone waiting for twenty minutes and no one ever came to the phone to answer it . I tried again and the same thing happened again ! There are too many competitive pizza establishments that I can go to for this to happen . This DEFINITELY IS NOT the way to run a business. If this continues Jockamo will not be there for long ! I have been in restaurant management for over 40 years and would have fired my employees for pulling this stunt ! I also sent an email to the restaurant and have had NO response . read more

Darn good pizza pie!! I went here with a couple friends of mine on Halloween evening. We split a large pie that was 1/2 Cheese Louise (mine) and 1/2 So Cal (theirs). I found the Cheese Louise to be AWESOME!! but even though my friends said they liked the So Cal their plates and the quantity that they took home indicated otherwise. I'd say that they were less than overwhelmed. But.... I'm keeping my review on what I had. The service was a bit disjointed as far as just who was waiting on us but we had several people all asking if we needed anything so.... disjointed or not, we were well taken care of! One of my friends did say that her 9th Street salad was very good and she ate every bite, so I'd say that was a good indicator that she truly did find it good. I'd be happy to come back here but I won't ask this same group to come with as clearly, I was happier with my food than they were with theirs. The décor was hip and the whole place was very clean. The staff (wait staff and management) were very nice and attentive. Some of the wait staff were also dressed in costumes for the evening, which I thought was fun. If you love higher-end/gourmet pizza, I'd recommend Jackamo's to you! Took my family there after and an afternoon of hiking at Fort Ben. The pizza was good and the atmosphere was welcoming for families with small children. The service was a little slow and it took almost 45 minutes for our pizza to come out. When the food arrived it was well worth it but we have had better experiences. read more

I only gave this location three stars out of five because the person that chose this Otis Ave Location for Jockamo's should be taken outside, put against a wall, and shot. The signage from the Post Rd side of the building is utterly inadequate. It's undersized and the black and dark red Jockomo's logo is BARELY discernible from the street. The entrance is actually located behind the building. I drove around for 20 minutes because I was told by the staff there that it's located behind CVS on Otis Ave. Not hardly. It's actually a whole block past CVS across the street from the BP gas station. I was ten seconds away from giving up on picking up my to go order, a large lazyboy pizza, and going home simply because I couldn't find the place. If I were Jockomo's owners I would be screaming bloody murder at the buildings owners to allow them to increase the size of the signage on the Post Rd. side of the building by at least 300%. The pizza itself is excellent! But this situation with the signage is so freaking bad that the lady that rung up my order admitted it's a major problem and that they get complaints constantly. The pizza's actually as good as the hype, but this deal with actually finding the place has to be costing them a ton of business. read more

I love their pizza but don't go 45 mins before closing to the Lawrence location. I ordered the lasagna pizza CARRY OUT & the pizza wasn't fully cooked. There was supposed to be ricotta cheese on it (key word Supposed to be) & there wasn't any. What cheese was on there, wasn't fully melted. So apparently even though they are 45 mins from closing, they tend to get a little pissy for having to make a simple pizza. They said 15 mins, it was 30. Not a big deal but by the time I got home I wasn't able to call because they were closed. read more

I decided to order something here that I couldn't get anywhere else... I was kind of skeptical that I would actually like it, but I went out on my 'self dare' and did it. I chose two very 'untypical' pizza flavors. I decided to try a 1/2 Thai and 1/2 Bollywood. I was pleasantly surprised! The Thai peanut sauce was not overwhelming and the chicken came in nice sized strips. The spicy masala sauce on the Bollywood was actually a little sweet but the tangy goat cheese balanced this out. I was afraid the coconut would be a weird addition but I really didn't even taste it. I thought the crust was perfect! A slight crisp to the bottom and the rest was perfect softness- not chewy. There were 3 other pizzas ordered at our table and everyone had positive comments. The waiters were attentive and our water glasses were kept full; I can't say as much for my brother's beer ;) - which they do have a nice 'on tap' variety! read more
