For some time I've been hearing about Joe's Diner, usually after telling a friend about a bad breakfast experience when they'll say, "You should've gone to Joe's!" So finally I did! Joe's is an old fashioned diner with a typical menu. Exactly what you'd expect to find. The decor is...well... very random. There are pictures of cars, James Dean, and stuff pretty much all over. From my seat in the middle of the restaurant I could hear a radio playing classic rock behind me, a TV with a morning show on the opposite wall, and some hard rock playing from the kitchen pretty loud. I was greeted immediately after I sat down. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. While I was waiting for my food I was greeted by another waiter, he struck up a conversation and was incredibly friendly as well. It was then that I realized that this place isn't about an identity or decor, it's about community. As I watched other patrons entering and exiting I noticed that they were all treated like family. So, how about the food? Well, I'll have to come back and try a few more things but the corned beef hash and eggs I had were good, but not great. Eggs were perfect, but the hash was just okay. To Joe's credit I asked if the hash was homemade when ordering and the waitress said it wasn't. The only real negative thing was that the plate the biscuit and gravy was served on was actually warmer than the food on it. It was good, just lukewarm rather than served hot. The coffee was great and my cup was never empty thanks to the impeccable service. Bottom line, if you're looking for a no-nonsense, friendly atmosphere, community oriented, standard fare local diner the Joe's is for you! read more

Went for brunch. We we able to get a group of 6 at 10:00 right in. Fresh tasty waffle with strawberries. Crispy bacon. Turkey sausage was ok but my husband loved to. Blueberry jam is a must. Good value. Highly recommended. read more

I haven't been here in about 6-7 years, but it's still great! We ordered a few things for breakfast, and everything was delicious. The chocolate chip pancakes were loaded with chocolate chips! We got everything to go, and it came out rather quickly. They gave us plenty of buttah and syrup for our pancakes, napkins, and plasticware. The omelette was very tasty, chock-full of ingredients, and the home fries were perfectly cooked through and seasoned. This is a good old fashioned greasy spoon kind of diner, yet not greasy. Everything tasted fresh, and the homemade biscuit was really good. The croissant breakfast sandwich was super-sized, not your typical croissant, and loaded with eggs cheese and sausage, w/ a good helping of home fries. Really good eats, really reasonable, hearty portions, the staff was very friendly, and we got what we ordered exactly how we ordered it. We will be back VERY SOON. read more

Just came in for the first time and I am happy to say my experience was excellent! Joan was my server and absolutely delightful, and any support staff that stopped by were just as friendly. VERY disappointing! I had the Biscuits and Gravy and it virtually had no taste. Additionally, the gravy was pasty as if not cooked enough and thicker than mud. I guess I ordered the wrong item as my friends were happy with their choices. To my way of thinking a Diner that doesn't have good Biscuits and Gravy is NOT a good diner. I won't return. read more

All in all, a solid breakfast diner and it's always busy. Food is good, but we're from the Midwest so we've had bacon and eggs before. I pivoted to the green chile bowl and have to say it was very good. Seems like it's one of those "must-go-to" places for tourists and the prices reflect that, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there all the time. Have been a frequent diner here and just can't do it any longer. I swear if any business was in need of an overhaul of waitstaff and timing it's here. It always starts with such promise. Time to sit and look at menu and someone brings you a drink. Then you order and the hell begins... An hour this time (on a Thursday at 10:30) we ordered from the menu no changes. That's when the server disappeared. 38 minutes later she reappeared with two plates of food which she quickly deposited and booked it away. Want to know why? Because our food was so cold except the bottom from the heating plate. Butter wouldn't melt on pancakes but it would spread. Ugh really? Guess what happens then? Yep 17 minutes of trying to get her to come on by. Finally she does and we get it taken off the bill. Not like we ate any of it. Seriously has this place really given up? Too bad. Upon walking into this diner it felt unwelcoming. Almost, as if I've been transported back into time where I wouldn't have been served. I asked for buttermilk pancakes with turkey sausage. The waitress seemed rude and treated me with little to no concern when asked if turkey was fried alongside the pork. I had to walk out on this greasy and disgusting looking meal. The sausage and potatoes dripping in what I can only assume to be pork grease. It's a No for me and to anyone who enjoys their health and where customer service is key. Ran across this place by accident and glad I did. The service was fast and the food was delicious. It's a quiet little place with a good vibe. The portion size was great but a little pricy. Service was quick, friendly and efficient as breakfast/lunch places should be. They did not disappoint in that aspect. I ordered the scramble, meat lovers and it was more than enough for one person! I probably could have split it with someone; I did end up taking half home. Mine was a little dry so I asked for a side of sour cream. My sister ordered two eggs, potatoes and toast-hers was a little greasy for her liking so she soaked up some of the grease with napkins. Jason ordered the chorizo omelet, very tasty! Good flavor. We come here all the time on Sunday and today horrible. Took 49 minutes to get our food & then the poached eggs were hard boiled. Now we are waiting for the kitchen to make the whole meal again. The coffee in our mugs are cold! The waitress was gracious and apologized. She also comped our meals. The pancake was burnt & looked gross so it was not eaten. My waffle was good. I never received my biscuits & gravy. My husband received a burnt, cold, rubbery pancake. So disappointed as the service & food are usually consistent and good. Joes offers friendly service and a classic diner menu consisting of burgers, sandwiches, meatloaf and breakfast items. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The place is a bit dated and the silverware is bent but it's comfortable. It's much bigger on the inside than it appears and there are plenty of booths and large tables if you are going with a group. I love breakfast food morning, noon and night but for some reason I passed over that large portion of the menu and ordered a sandwich. I had the Rachel which was turkey, coleslaw and thousand island on marbled rye. It came with a side of crispy fries. The sandwich was just ok. The coleslaw on it seemed a bit off so I scraped most of it off. My friend had the hot roast beef sandwich which came smothered in gravy with mashed potatoes. I went running the other day and smelled the bacon fuming out of the restaurant. Definitely not what I needed to smell while going for a run! I decided to check this place out for brunch today (they have all day breakfast). Overall a great little diner. Good location, good food and good atmosphere. I'll definitely try to come back again. The only reason for taking a star off is because it is just a bit overpriced. Spending $34 for 2 people seems like quite a bit for a small diner. read more
