Great place. Dog friendly if that's your thing. My Hubbs said it was the best lobster roll he's ever had. My fish taco also was good. Service was good and outside is nice if you can get a table by the water. We just walked in so we couldn't get one as they said there was a "waitlist " for the water side.

Lobster roll was excellent and very reasonably priced! Great views. Staff was super friendly. Love this area of Boston, lots of great restaurants and waterfront views. I had a wonderful experience here!

We tried next door first, but the wait was outrageous. No wait at Joe's. Joe's is in a great location on the water. Nice views of the wharf. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered the Reuben. The fish was cooked perfectly. Flakey and not dry at all. My wife was not as impressed with her sandwich. The meat was stringy, not shaved. Side salads were very good. As soon as we received the food, we had to ask for silverware. Our waiter said "oh that will go well on a yelp review!" Anyway, after that, we never saw our waiter again, not even going to other tables. Vanished! No refills. We had to ask the manager for our check. We have no idea what happened to our waiter, but let's say the waiter had an emergency and had to leave. No turnover to another waiter? As many waitstaff as we saw walking around (and there are a ton), Joe's does a terrible job with service. I agree with another Yelper who said prices aren't that bad for seafood. $26 for fish and chips is reasonable nowadays, even beyond Boston.

Loves joes great service food is really great. I had a reservation for two then changed it to four then two other freinds called me a half hour from reservation time and they accommodated me to a party of six. They are so accommodating. Drinks food service is five star. It's a must go to restaurant. Then after take a walk to the water see the boats etc a stone through from the restaurant. We will be back.

Went here to watch the World Cup and grab some lunch! Ordered the following: - Beet Salad - Bread Bowl Clam Chowder - Lobster Roll (Cold) - Limoncello Cocktails Overall experience and food was average, definitely better spots in the city!

We had an extremely disappointing experience at Joe's. We usually go to their location on Newbury Street for the convenience and gluten free options and decided to attend their location on the water for seafood and a wonderful view. We sat by the window overlooking the harbor which had an incredible view but there were multiple flies buzzing inside. Our waitress was extremely nice and accommodating to our large party and dietary restrictions. The food was slow to arrive which was expected for a busy Saturday afternoon. The food was great until we got to the bottom of the chili bowl where we found a piece of metal the size of a pea. We told our waitress who was very apologetic and offered to take the chili and drinks off the bill. It was a very nice gesture but entirely not her fault, probably a mistake made in the kitchen. Hoping this is a one off experience and the next visit will be less eventful.

Great indoor and outdoor space. Staff is lovely. Good quality seafood in Boston. I got the shrimp scampi linguine it was a great eat--it does have a sharp lemon zest flavor but I personally loved that!

Lunch. Last day in Boston before heading to Logan. This place is the epitome of casual dining. It's Applebees/Olive Garden with seafood. Even came with a slightly sticky table. Service was pretty good. Drinks are mediocre and overpriced. Food - Not the "best" fish & chips but pretty good. Not the "best" lobster roll but good. Not the "best" clam chowder but good enough. The fish tacos were surprisingly the best menu item we tried.

Best part is service! Our server was super friendly, attentive, and kind. Got the fish tacos! They had a good amount of sauce and were decently filling. Interior is dark warm and classy

The waitstaff were phenomenal and a completely delight. The food was even better than I had imagined and the bread that is served as "while you wait" is delicious! Went for brunch during the summer and it was a beautiful site to see both in and out of the restaurant. If you plan on sitting outside during the summer arrive early or make a reservation. There is a very long wait if you do not.

    Parmesan Truffle Fries

First I ordered the crab cocktail. It was very good, but seemed a little skimpy for the price ($22, I think). Next up were the Parmesan truffle fries. I loved that I could smell the truffle right away. I hate it when I order truffle fries and can't detect the truffle. These were great on truffle, but weak on Parmesan and also just barely still warm when they were brought out. But still, I thought this would be a 5-star review until the service dropped way off. For almost a half hour my drink was empty and I was wanting to order one more. The server checked in twice in that time on a table near me, but didn't even glance in my direction. I would still come back again for sure. The food was good, and the outdoor patio was nice. But there was some definite room for improvement.

It was a Sunday night and we didn't feel like going far for a meal. That's when we put the voucher to use as the Capiz is in the lobby of the hotel. We went for an early dinner. Walking into the restaurant, no one was there to greet us and there was no host stand. Finally, a server (who also turned out to be our server) told us to pick where we wanted to sit. We chose a four-top table. When it was time to order, we were dealing with a limited menu. I chose lobster quesadillas, which were listed under "appetizers". My husband chose the fish and chips. The quesadilla was sloppily made. Some pieces had hardly any cheese or lobster in them. Other pieces were overloaded with lobster and cheese. While it was all edible and the lobster was properly cooked, it still was underwhelming. My husband said the fish was well prepared, flaky and crispy at the same time. There were too many French fries, making the plate a bit messy. In a pinch, Capiz did fit the bill as we didn't feel like going far for a meal that day.

We ordered several dishes to share: beef tartare, octopus, crudo, steak, meatloaf, Brussels sprouts, and lobster mac & cheese. Out of everything, the octopus was the only dish that really stood out, and the drinks were still solid. Steak was at high price point but below average for quality. Mac and cheese somehow the sauce was all on the bottom and not covering the Mac.. Also, Parmesan seemed to be on about 95% of the dishes. I like Parmesan, but after this meal, I never want to see another sprinkle of it again. LOL. The service was honestly the biggest disappointment. For an upscale restaurant charging upscale prices, I expected much more attentive service. No one ever came by to ask how the food was, and I actually had to box up my own leftovers. At this price point, that should not be happening. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and I can see myself coming back for drinks and maybe a few apps at the bar. But for dinner? I'd skip the table and the entrees.
