Pleasantly surprised to know that this (formerly Tavern on the Water) was still here! Didn't need reservation on an early Thursday evening. Staff was very friendly. Drinks were well made. Lobster roll was plentiful. Fries were overcooked and hard. Great view. Sit inside on outside on top deck. Cashless parking. Limited parking, however a garage is on the right just before entering their own lot. A decent walk if nearby visiting the Constitution Museum

This place has soo much going for it, but it doesn't quite have it all figured out. We had a reservation for 7pm, didn't get seated until 7:25ish which is so fine. We got a great seat, it was a warm sunny summer day in Boston, all is well. The service here is soooo slow. It took 1.5 hours for us to get our food. Obviously this happens sometimes, places have their off day, but our friend had gone 2 nights prior with her friends from work and it took them 2 hours to get their food just 2 days before. It was particularly interesting because the night we went wasn't even thaaat busy. Like there were people there, but there were open tables and the bar area wasn't packed with people or anything. The food was good, but nothing spectacular for the price. The best part is the location, vibes, and view.

Came here late night to watch the end of the sad US World Cup game. It wasn't super busy, but had a good vibe. Drinks were good and the food was too! I really liked their take on chowder, and the rolls with the specialty butter were so rich and delicious. Nice place with a good view, and I'm sure it gets fun and super busy at certain weekends!

Location, service, food, and ambience made it a perfect spot!! The people and environment was relaxing, and so close to the ferry!

So glad this restaurant was suggested. Great water location, enjoyed watching the sailboats, and the breeze was incredible. Inside seating is not handicap friendly, must be about to navigate stairs. No one in our party complained about their food. My only little concern was my toast was burnt. Luckily, i was able to eat around it. Should I be in the area again, I would dine here.

This place has beautiful views and great service. However, the food is very expensive and mediocre. The cocktails also aren't that great. It also can get very crowded in the bottom area on nice evenings, so it's almost better to go when the weather is so so and sit upstairs.

Took the ferry here for a snack and some great views of the city by the water. We started with the mezze plate to share, which had tasty fried pita with zaatar seasoning and dips. I had the clam and corn chowder, which was a bit pricey but a pretty filling portion. It tasted fresh and had a good amount of clams, bacon, potatoes and corn - not too thick or thin, but was lacking some depth in flavor. Service was generally good, I think the food runner was new and he brought over food 4x that was not ours. Server was great about thoughtfully splitting our bill. Ambiance was lovely - it was a beautiful day and we got a nice sea breeze. Would return here for drinks and snacks on the water again.

Everything about this place is amazing. First you have to take this little walk to get there and the views are amazing so it's already a Vibe getting to where you're going to eat. Then the view in there is so beautiful you can see all of the city and it's right on top of the water. Everyone there is so kind and works as a team, the food is really good.

Went with a friend who lives near it and a perfect place to meet with friends. The location is right on the water and the view of Boston is great during the day and even better at night. They have a menu with great choices. I had a big cup of the clam and corn chowder which was a great start. They have a choice of cold or hot lobster rolls, and I chose hot. It was delicious. The service by Shirley was outstanding. It's a definite stop when in Charlestown.

Mezze plate - love this appetizer!

    I highly doubt it

    Good For Kids?

When should you feel comfortable asking to have an item taken of your bill?

If the food wasn't good and you told them or if they charged you for something you didn't order. I don't think there's a problem speaking up.

    Do they have valet parking?

No, they have a paid parking lot or you can opt for street parking.

Would you say Peir 6 is casual?

    Absolutely casual, especially downstairs/outside

I was quickly greeted and informed that they were cash-only dining. But fret not, for just inside the doorway is a perfectly placed ATM. It took only a few seconds for me to pinpoint the exact item on the menu that my stomach was craving and my eyes fixed upon...Antipasto for an appetiser and chicken Marsala for the entree. The antipasto dish arrived very quickly and was a beautiful layout. Of course I desired to save some room for the entree but ended up eating about 3/4 of the appetiser before it arrived. The chicken marsala was absolutely perfect, still steaming on the plate as she placed it before me. I told myself I would only eat half the dish and take the rest back to my hotel for snacking later. However, my taste buds are not allow me to stop feasting on this Italian delicacy. If you're ever in the area, don't worry about the other Italian restaurants in the downtown, although I am sure that they are well and good, but Giacomo's is well worth your consideration. My only regret is that I only have one more night here to try another one of their delectable dishes.

Portion size was decent although prices are not cheap (just entree alone will be minimum $30). They specialize in seafood so the only protein options that weren't seafood were chicken or veal. There weren't too many apps that caught my eye, particularly lacking veggies. Service is on the ruder side. They automatically add 20% tip to your bill.

The calamari, squid ink aglio olio pasta, and clam pasta have been my go-to orders since I found out about Daily Catch a few years back. My favorite bite has to be some of their bread dipped in the delicious garlic oil from the squid ink pasta with a bit of the garlic chunks and squid bits. It truly brings me joy. My friend recently recommended I try their shrimp scampi, either as an appetizer or as a pasta dish. This will definitely become part of my regular order - the shrimp are so plump and they're smothered in this savory, rich, garlicky sauce that is simply to die for. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. Can't speak to their non-seafood options, but when it comes to seafood pasta, there is absolutely no competition. For ambiance, it is a bit tight in there but think of it as your classic mom and pop Italian restaurant, who treat you with such hospitality and kindness like an Italian nonna - quick and easy service

There is so much lobster meat in the roll that we were struggling to take a bite. The mac and cheese also had a lot of lobster meat! Every bite had more lobster than mac. Both were very delicious! You can order from both the truck and inside the trailer. If you just want the main items (lobster roll and soups), the truck would probably be a quicker option. If you want the specialty items like the crab cake or mac and cheese, you could only get that inside the trailer. Overall service was super quick, so i would choose based on what you want to order. Also plenty of seating available. Most are outdoor under an umbrella but there are a few enclosed areas next to the truck. Staff is very quick to wipe tables down so the turnover is super fast.
