We came here because it was close to our hotel in Kaanapali. Food was basic/ a little bit on the oily side but not bad. Service was order up at front the guy was very nice. Ambiance is the food court at Whalers Village. I probably wouldn't come here again as there was hair in my food. The nice guy that was working was very apologetic and refunded our whole breakfast.

Came here a tad before closing and decided to try out the loco mocos. The food was good, packed with overloaded amount of rice and not enough gravy. I doubt it was worth the $20 price tag but I overall enjoyed the meals.

Love the food here, fast service and very flavorful. We had the Mahi tacos today. Very good flavor, but they are a little spicy so bring some water to the feast.

Just wanted a light breakfast and decided to try this place out since it was near our resort. Surprisingly the best Loco Moco I've ever eaten. The flavor of the sauce was yummy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is the overcooked potatoes for my son's breakfast. The friendly service was lacking but whatever since I'm ordering takeout. Not much seating is available inside and there are a few outdoor tables.

Whole family came to this high end plaza for fast food, and we ended at this place. It locates at the mini food court, which has five different counters -- Maui poke, Italian food, American food, joey's kitchen and one more ( forgot the name) . We ended up with one four cheese pizza for the boy from the pizza station . And we got Pork Adobo plate and Loco-moco. For the loco moco lacks of the taste, no highlight in the plate-- good carb and portion for hungry stomach. For the Pork adobo plate, it is way too much salt for me, each bite pork need two or three spoons rice to neutralize the salty flavor. Portion wise is great. And the location is great for kids, next to a mini kid playground.

Located inside the dining hall downstairs! They opened a little earlier than 4pm. The guy there is working both the cashier and making the food in the back (I'm pretty sure, bc he is hustling from the front and back). He quickly took our order and answered any questions we had and rushed to the back to pump out the other orders. I'd say the food came out in a timely manner. We got the fish tacos ($20), the fish was beautifully seared/grilled & very fresh. The slaw was tossed in this delicious sauce! Perfect combo with the fish. We asked for the spicy sauce on the side. A bit too pricey for 3 fish tacos I'd say; but the food was very delicious. The indoor dining hall isn't too fancy. Looks a little run down, there's a few other shops in there, didn't look too packed either. However, it was a Monday early afternoon.

We got food from here 3 days in a row while staying next door. The food was just so yummy. I had garlic chicken for dinner which I'm not sure what I expected but it was PHENOMENAL. Crispy chicken, covered in sauces and sides of rice and mac salad were a nice touch. Then we went back for breakfast and had their breakfast burrito. This thing is so fat the first day it took me over an hour to finish it and the next day I had half and then the other half for lunch.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! This Filipino fusion cuisine absolutely hits the spot and satisfies all your cravings. During our time in Maui, we couldn't resist buying their food every single day--it was that good! I enjoyed every dish we sampled, and honestly, I can't choose a favorite. Each one brought a unique twist that was both comforting and exciting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend trying it out--you won't be disappointed!

We ordered the adobo fried rice and loco moco. Portions are good for sharing, but we felt that the food overall was a bit too salty for our taste. Prices are a bit more budget-friendly than the other dine-in options at Whaler's Village.

Honestly Joey's Kitchen was one of my favorite highlights during my recent trip to Maui. It's a great, no-frills Hawaiian and Filipino spot in the food court area at Whaler's Village that is a warm-welcomed escape from the sit-down and touristy price-inflated restaurants. Plus it's indoors with air-conditioning but also has outdoor seats too. The garlic shrimp I had was incredible--so flavorful with just the right amount of garlic, lemon, and cilantro that I came back the next day and got the same thing. My friend also loved his dishes at the Joey's Kitchen too. The food here is homely and delicious. Again, given this is a no-frills spot, it's not a fair comparison like some of the other reviews are doing in my opinion to subconciously compare it to the more famous restaurants in the area. If you're already staying in this area and looking for a simple, quick, and flavorful bite--which is a rare find in this tourist resort area of the island--look no further than Joey's Kitchen!

Good pork burger and fries! Really appreciate the frys cooked in clean oil (some places you can tell use same oil for days). Wait time was less than 10 min after ordering. Lots of seating in the plaza.

Food was delish! Service was pretty fast. Inside the whalers food court so good amount of seats no or if you wanna eat on the beach. They are closing soon!

The flavors were really well balanced, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. But the absolute star of the meal for us were the Look Moore Fun noodles. OMG. They were incredible! So flavorful, with a perfect texture, and easily the favorite thing we ordered. We could have happily eaten an entire second serving. We also loved the overall atmosphere of Star Noodle. It has that fun, relaxed Maui feel where you can just sit back, enjoy some great food, and not feel rushed. The kind of place that makes you want to order a bunch of things to share. We've eaten at a lot of great places during this Maui trip, and Star Noodle definitely belongs on the list of places we'd come back to. The Look Moore Fun alone is enough to bring us back! Highly recommend Star Noodle if you're in Lahaina or anywhere on Maui.

I brushed this off when the hostess said she was going to try to sit us at one of the waterfront tables. After waiting for ~10 more minutes she apologized and said she couldn't find us a water front table but had something else ready for us. She proceeded to sit us at arguably the worst table in the restaurant. It was directly next to the kitchen so we were constantly being brushed by servers delivering food and it was facing the sun so my husband had to wear sunglasses for the entire meal. When we asked our waiter for a new table he joked around that the sun would eventually go behind the clouds. For the food, it's all so overpriced. The garlic noodles are fine but it's just noodles and garlic, I don't understand how it's $18. Our waiter was raving about the pork buns but we found them to be very dry and low effort with huge slabs of raw carrot inside. The miso butter fish is good and the saimin was our favorite dish. The food also all came out within a few minutes of ordering and I felt we didn't have time to truly enjoy the meal. Especially with the sun glaring in our faces. Overall I wouldn't recommend or return.

Our reservation was for 6:30. During our dinner the place was maybe half full. The room is large and the view of the golf course is nice. The place feels a little dated. A very underwhelming restaurant experience…read more We've been to Roy's on Oahu for many special occasions and have had positive experiences in the past. We were looking around for a nice restaurant to kick off our weekend in Maui since we were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. I think my biggest issues stem from the service as well as the value. We received everything in a timely manner so we had no complaints there but didn't experience any warmth in service itself. We had a reservation at 7:00 pm which isn't late by most restaurant standards but we realized that this establishment closed at 8:00 pm. Not sure if that contributed to our experience but it was a little disappointing because it felt like our server wasn't really interested in engaging with us. As someone who has worked in food and beverage for many years, I chalked it up to maybe our server was having a bad day. Still, it left unpleasant mark on our experience. Cocktails were okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. My husband mentioned his meatloaf was overly salty. The butterfish was a great portion size but was overshadowed by the tartness the lomi tomato. I couldn't taste much of the miso or sweetness. The rice texture was mushy which made it difficult to eat. A lot of menu items in concept sounded great but the execution didn't hit the mark. I think for the price, I think flavors could have been more balanced. At this point, I can't say I'd recommend this restaurant or consider returning in the future.

I took the advice of Maui's CM Maria and made sure I visit this November trip. I asked the hubby to take me, although he said it was a little farther out since we had a few more stops to go before we leave my favorite island, but he happily took me here. Patsy's started from out as a food truck, now to cute little shop. I met and spoke to Marisa, she is super friendly and got to learn more about Patsy's Food. The cute photo is Grandma Patsy's her food, sauces legacy ,continues on here at Patsy's Food. The menu is very simple, ( about 5-6 items) & the special of the day. This way the cook which is Marisa's husband can focus on those dishes! I wanted to know what's popular and Marisa mentioned in this order: chicken tempura, chicken katsu & the donburi. I'm sure all of them are all popular! Since I already have some other foods that I picked up along the way and wanted to try the signature chicken tempura bites, I got a plate of that with all rice, no sides and got a bottle of the spicy sauce. I can't wait to use that! We ate the food at the airport and I loved it, the tempura batter is so soft, not as crispy since we didn't eat it right away and taste so unique. I never had tempura with chicken, ever. I loved dipping the chicken tempura in that sauce, so yummy! ( dip, eat with rice, repeat. repeat..) I can't wait to go back for more next visit and I need to try the donburi and rest of the menu items . Did you know you can get an entire bucket of tempura chicken, $40.?!
