We came here because it was close to our hotel in Kaanapali. Food was basic/ a little bit on the oily side but not bad. Service was order up at front the guy was very nice. Ambiance is the food court at Whalers Village. I probably wouldn't come here again as there was hair in my food. The nice guy that was working was very apologetic and refunded our whole breakfast.

Came here a tad before closing and decided to try out the loco mocos. The food was good, packed with overloaded amount of rice and not enough gravy. I doubt it was worth the $20 price tag but I overall enjoyed the meals.

Love the food here, fast service and very flavorful. We had the Mahi tacos today. Very good flavor, but they are a little spicy so bring some water to the feast.

Just wanted a light breakfast and decided to try this place out since it was near our resort. Surprisingly the best Loco Moco I've ever eaten. The flavor of the sauce was yummy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is the overcooked potatoes for my son's breakfast. The friendly service was lacking but whatever since I'm ordering takeout. Not much seating is available inside and there are a few outdoor tables.

Whole family came to this high end plaza for fast food, and we ended at this place. It locates at the mini food court, which has five different counters -- Maui poke, Italian food, American food, joey's kitchen and one more ( forgot the name) . We ended up with one four cheese pizza for the boy from the pizza station . And we got Pork Adobo plate and Loco-moco. For the loco moco lacks of the taste, no highlight in the plate-- good carb and portion for hungry stomach. For the Pork adobo plate, it is way too much salt for me, each bite pork need two or three spoons rice to neutralize the salty flavor. Portion wise is great. And the location is great for kids, next to a mini kid playground.

Located inside the dining hall downstairs! They opened a little earlier than 4pm. The guy there is working both the cashier and making the food in the back (I'm pretty sure, bc he is hustling from the front and back). He quickly took our order and answered any questions we had and rushed to the back to pump out the other orders. I'd say the food came out in a timely manner. We got the fish tacos ($20), the fish was beautifully seared/grilled & very fresh. The slaw was tossed in this delicious sauce! Perfect combo with the fish. We asked for the spicy sauce on the side. A bit too pricey for 3 fish tacos I'd say; but the food was very delicious. The indoor dining hall isn't too fancy. Looks a little run down, there's a few other shops in there, didn't look too packed either. However, it was a Monday early afternoon.

We got food from here 3 days in a row while staying next door. The food was just so yummy. I had garlic chicken for dinner which I'm not sure what I expected but it was PHENOMENAL. Crispy chicken, covered in sauces and sides of rice and mac salad were a nice touch. Then we went back for breakfast and had their breakfast burrito. This thing is so fat the first day it took me over an hour to finish it and the next day I had half and then the other half for lunch.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! This Filipino fusion cuisine absolutely hits the spot and satisfies all your cravings. During our time in Maui, we couldn't resist buying their food every single day--it was that good! I enjoyed every dish we sampled, and honestly, I can't choose a favorite. Each one brought a unique twist that was both comforting and exciting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend trying it out--you won't be disappointed!

We ordered the adobo fried rice and loco moco. Portions are good for sharing, but we felt that the food overall was a bit too salty for our taste. Prices are a bit more budget-friendly than the other dine-in options at Whaler's Village.

Honestly Joey's Kitchen was one of my favorite highlights during my recent trip to Maui. It's a great, no-frills Hawaiian and Filipino spot in the food court area at Whaler's Village that is a warm-welcomed escape from the sit-down and touristy price-inflated restaurants. Plus it's indoors with air-conditioning but also has outdoor seats too. The garlic shrimp I had was incredible--so flavorful with just the right amount of garlic, lemon, and cilantro that I came back the next day and got the same thing. My friend also loved his dishes at the Joey's Kitchen too. The food here is homely and delicious. Again, given this is a no-frills spot, it's not a fair comparison like some of the other reviews are doing in my opinion to subconciously compare it to the more famous restaurants in the area. If you're already staying in this area and looking for a simple, quick, and flavorful bite--which is a rare find in this tourist resort area of the island--look no further than Joey's Kitchen!

Good pork burger and fries! Really appreciate the frys cooked in clean oil (some places you can tell use same oil for days). Wait time was less than 10 min after ordering. Lots of seating in the plaza.

Food was delish! Service was pretty fast. Inside the whalers food court so good amount of seats no or if you wanna eat on the beach. They are closing soon!

My mom got the chicken fried steak and was dissapointed to see everything but the egg was frozen. The pancakes we got were decent, but clearly made from a box mix with a dough like taste. As someone who works at a restaurant, I dont recommend.

If you want take out, there is a separate kiosk to order your food. Please do NOT select a table BEFORE you order your food. The workers do an excellent job clearing and cleaning tables rapidly for fast turnover. There are plenty of counter seating if you don't mind counter seating. There's also lots of outdoor seating too. Fri, Sat & Sundays might be a different story. This restaurant is busy from the time it opens every day. So go get there early if you don't want to wait, especially on weekends. Atkins Omelet - 5/5 This protein filled omelet with variety of meats (Portuguese sausage, ham, bacon) was excellent. The eggs were fluffy and not over cooked. The omelet shape was stacked, not the usual crescent shaped omelet shape. The tomato slices were a perfect side. I would order this again. Banana Mac nut French Toast - 5/5 Another excellent selection. The flavors of this French Toast explodes with the combination of berries and fruit. Not too sweet, hit right. A very enjoyable breakfast to start your day. Loco Moco - 5/5 Kihei caffe makes one of the best Loco Moco. They don't fry the hamburger patty super well done where it's dry and hard. They cook the patty purely to medium. The patty is nice and tender, not hard and dry. The brown gravy is delicious. Not too salty or watery. The brown gravy was very flavorful, and weren't very well with everything. Another repeat order in the near future. Banana Mac nut pancakes - 5/5 The pancakes were not heavy and thick. They were light and easy to finish. The Mac nuts and bananas combined well for a flavorful breakfast. Corned beef hash and eggs - 5/5 The corned beef was perfect made. Real corned beef mixed with real shredded potatoes. The ratio of corned beef to potatoes was perfect. It looks like 80% corned beef to 20% potatoes. Combined with eggs and fried potatoes, it was a very delicious breakfast. I highly recommend giving Kihei Caffe Lahaina visit for breakfast or lunch. Again, the line starts early. It goes relatively quick, so don't be discouraged. Enjoy!

The service was friendly and welcoming as well. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite match the setting for us. Several dishes were overly salty, and the value for the portion sizes was disappointing. For example, five small prawns were $45, and the whole fried fish was $99. The calamari starter was also disappointing. It wasn't fresh calamari, but rather fried calamari strips that seemed like the type that come frozen in a bag. The bruschetta wasn't really bruschetta either. It was more like an open-faced sandwich. At these prices, I expected better quality, preparation, and portion sizes. It's definitely a place where you're paying a premium for the oceanfront view and atmosphere. Beautiful location and friendly service, but the food and overall value fell short for us.
