I've dealt with this company a few times in the last year and 1/2. I've used them for anything from getting a new air conditioner installed to something as small as a leak in the bathroom. The technicians are always very prompt, clean and knowledgeable. The last couple of times I was lucky enough to get JayQuan over as the technician. This guy is great! Dale is an excellent technician. He is clearly an expert, but still took the time to explain the repairs in terms we could understand. I appreciate that he takes a lot of photos to further illustrate the issue. We were told the appointment would be on the earlier end of the morning today, which was ideal. Response time and the quality of the plumbers is good, but these prices are craaazy. Hard to imagine a job that you wouldn't end up dropping close to $1k on. Terrible! We have had a condo with a heat pump for 20 yeara, so I know what happens on a routine annual maintenance call. Flood used it as an excuse to recommend about $3,500 in work to my 5 year old heat pump, which works fine. Technician spent all his time taking photos to document the alleged problems - some 40 in total - and another 20 minutes writing a long list of things they wanted to sell me and their costs. Eric was my service provider and he totally rocks!!! First, he was timely! A winner! Secondly, he was efficient with his time and explanation of what needed to be done and when. Moreover, (this is the best part) he noticed I had large openings in my garage space, which was located next to my basement and water heater, and evidence of animal (rat) droppings. While the servicing professional was nice, this company was a racket. Price started at $99 to come and consult then another $220 for simply cleaning a flame sensor. What!?!?! When I said no, they said only $98 not $220. When I said no again he showed me the OG ($345) price that he never quoted because he himself thought it was too high. I told him that any company that is dropping their price twice for a "discount" of more than 60% is not a good faith business and I didn't appreciate the dishonesty. I felt bad for the guy but basically ended up paying $208 all in and telling him I'd never call them back again. read more

I appreciated talking to a live person to explain my needs. I was able to get an appointment sooner than I thought I would be able to which was another plus for me. Next plus, They kept me abreast of my appt and est. time the tech would be arriving. The tech was very pleasant and professional, guided me throughout the entire process as to what he was doing and why (I ask a lot questions when techs do any type of work in my home.) It was a little pricey but I thought it was worth it considering this was a licensed and well known establishment. I needed work done in my basement after having been hoodwinked by my previous Plummer doing work I didn't ask for and expecting payment. John C customer service was exceptional, they listened to my concerns, provided me with an explanation of the work and estimated cost before coming out! This last visit they misdiagnosed an issue that led to days without a toilet and could have led to a hefty bill. Turns out it was just clogged (as suspected) and should have resulted in a fast fix with snaking. When we called to inform them that their assessment was incorrect, the initial customer service representative had an attitude. She said we should have been charged more for the dispatch fee which is on them, not me. Then I was transferred to the plumbing manager Pat who was a particularly argumentative and condescending man, despite my willingness to send documentation contradicting their diagnosis. I had to hang up because he kept talking over me. My suggestion is to not use them - simply because they don't know how to take responsibility for their service or lack there of. read more

Called and spoke with Johnny - plumbing manager, and James came next day (Sat) and fixed faucet in kitchen sink in 20 min time. James was professional, knowledgeable and very polite. Excellent work- a bit steep for 20 min job ($228) but that's what you pay. Flood's call center and customer left a LOt to be desired- unhelpful and one customer service was really rude. The technician was prompt, polite and professional and quickly provided the service required. My only complaint is the price. The brand new cooktop was already installed, as was the gas line. All that was required was connecting the hose from the cooktop to the gas line, but the connectors were two different sizes. It literally took 10 minutes or so for the technician to assess the job, go out to his truck and retrieve an adapter, install the adapter and connect the hose. The cost of this service was $485 (less a $75 coupon for a total of $410), which I later found out was considerably more than what it should cost. Again, John C. Flood responded quickly with quality service, but their service is quite pricey. read more
