Went on the recommendation of a YouTube video we saw about their all day Wednesday steak and lobster special. The lobster was over cooked a bit, but the steak wasn't bad at all. This place was absolute fire the first 2 or maybe 3 times coming. Usually every Tuesday or Wednesday I am there with my girlfriend and some buddies. However the last 3 or 4 times We have come, the food and service has been dwindling, leaning more towards the food portion of the service. My gf and I ordered carne asada tacos that were insanely salty one time and we had to return them. A few weeks ago I ordered them again with a buddy who I preached to about and the cook absolutely skimped the tacos. Hardly any meat or onions or cilantro, and they were almost cold. We ate because we were starved and didn't want to wait any longer. Last night (Tuesday) a group of us arrived and the bartender absolutely refused to leave his counter because he was too busy flirting with some woman gambling. There was 12 of us who came in and every single one of us had to get up and order at the bar. I thought this was rebellious and inconvenient by the server. It didn't help that The bartender was not friendly or approachable either, it was as if we were burdening him by being there. Some people in our group, it was their first time coming to this restaurant. My buddy ordered philly cheese steak fries and they tasted great but the chef again, skimped out on the portion. Half an hour later another friend of ours ordered the same thing and the amount of fries, sauce and meat that they got were glorious compared to our sad ass dish. It was damn near double in size. It was a big F U to us. We asked the bartender if it was 1/2 off burgers and he didn't even know about the happy hour times / specials. (It's every Tuesday) The burger I ordered was so greasy and had no flavor, I could barely finish it. The chicken fingers my gf ordered were over cooked and dried out. The worst part is that I had to get up and grab a condiment basket (ketchup, hot sauce etc.) by the kitchen. Pretty sad service. That bartender was lucky we even left him $2.00 I wouldn't recommend coming to this restaurant after a certain time (probably after 9pm) because the quality of the food and service absolutely dwindles later at night. This place shouldn't be open 24hrs if they can't handle anyone coming in late at night. I absolutely hate servers who are unfriendly and act rebellious and then to top it off, they're usually in cahoots with the cook and we get half assed food. Something needs to change. Either put a server out who can help the bartender or make a late night menu. I will probably not return to this restaurant for a while. read more

Bland and overpriced. Half-off steak on Sunday's seems like a great deal, but it doesn't come with any sides like it normally would. Just a single piece of meat on a plate. So if you did order the expensive sides it would cost similarly-- which is pretty funny. Seafood pasta: I pretty much had to season it myself with boatloads of salt, pepper, and hot sauce. My friends thought their food tasted like nothing as well. Orders weren't right/forgotten/missing. Soda only filled 2/3 of the cup, which we also found hilarious. read more

I stopped in to this establishment on a Sunday and all their tables and booths were occupied and hostess told me it be about a 20 min wait . I looked at the bar and there wasn't 1 single person sitting at the bar so I asked if I could just go sit at the bar and grab lunch and the hostess said no I cannot !!! I said all the stools are open and she said it's for gaming only , I understand that but there is not 1 person sitting at the bar ! I'm no genius but wouldn't you rather have another person spending MONEY in your establishment whether it's food and booze or gambling ‍ needles to say she didn't allow me so I went somewhere else and ate and drank , drank to much and ended up gambling at the bar and won ! First time here, was pretty crowded for a Saturday night but I get it, it was steak and lobster night. Seemed like a really cozy atmosphere with the dim lighting allowing customers to feel relaxed. This place did not disappoint. All of our food was flavorful and a the perfect temperature as well. Our bartender came to our table and offered us a sample of John Taffer's butter bourbon and let me tell you. I'm not a bourbon drinker, but I think I am now. If there was a strong liquor in Harry Potter this would be it. John cutter please keep doing your thing thank you for introducing this new product to me, and please start doing this at your other locations as well. We did order a carrot cake Togo. I'm not sure if their carrot cake normally looks like this but I did notice a lot of green spots all around it, it could be from the baking soda touching the carrot making it turn green? I went there after seeing a couple of videos about best places to check out in Las Vegas. Their menu clearly states it's 50% off steaks on Sunday so I was there on Sunday. While placing my order, I was told that steak doesn't come with any sides (or anything else) and that will be an extra charge. I asked the waiter how come the menu states that all steaks come with a side included in the price. She said that doesn't apply to 50% Sundays. I told her the menu doesn't say 50% off steak will not include a side. The sides are $8 each so I didn't order any. My steak arrives looking good; however, it tasted seriously bad especially with the amount of gristle it had. This was NOT normal steak fat. It was chewy, inedible part. I felt my steak was only 20% real meat and 80% gristle. Highly not recommended. P.S. Chris, the bartender, was actually very nice so I made sure show my gratitude for his hospitality. read more

Stumbled upon this place while searching on Yelp. Fortunately the day we picked was Sunday when they have their 50% off steaks. Sides are Ala carte but are very affordable. They do not take reservations but the wait was about 20 minutes. It is basically a bar and grille so there are booths along the wall. The area between the booths and the bar have various high bar tops. I noticed that at the time we were there, a party of 10 was being served. Service was top shape and the food came out quickly. My wife ordered a 6oz Filet with a side of asparagus and a side dinner salad. I ordered a 16oz New York. I ordered a side of fries that had an enormous serving. Steaks were done perfectly and the sides only cost about $7 each. Almost forgot that I also ordered the Shrimp cocktail. Big in sized and accompanied by both cocktail sauce and fresh horseradish. Total bill came out to $81.00. Big time value. Next time we're in Vegas maybe we'll go Wednesday and take advantage of their $21.99 Steak and lobster special. read more

I refuse to come back until they realize how ridiculously stupid it is to put entire pieces of peppercorn in their cocktail sauce. Who the fuq wants to bite into these? I will never eat here again. We were told 20 minutes for a table we waited 1.5 hours. One reason is a friend of the bartender got to sit at a booth with 3 people total and that is all that could accommodate our party of 5. There were tables open that would comfortably fit their party of 3. We waited outside on a night that was 40 degrees and the heaters outside weren't on. Next, when ordering, they do not allow any substitutions. So with my filet, I could have french fries. I asked if I could do a baked potatoe for an upcharge. Nope. Only fries or a salad. We ordered appetizers. No silverware. No plates for sharing. Had to ask. Our waitress and the guy who brought out our food was the only pleasant thing about this visit. Will not be back. read more

Pleasantly surprised that we found a Groupon for this place. First time hearing about it and it was DELICIOUS!!! Had the Maple mustard salmon that was great. The sauce didn't have a strong flavor but was amazing nonetheless. My partner had the lobster and shrimp pesto pasta that was equally great. Big portions. Large shrimp. Tasty toast came with it. Although the prices were higher than what I saw on yelp pictures, it is still just as good (better than some) as more popular steakhouses. This was my first time here and had the Ribeye Steak. The steak was a good quality and made medium rare the way i ordered them. I got the steak because it was 1/2 on Sundays. We ordered 3 sides and shared. The brussel sprouts was my favorite out of the 3, because it was just right with flavor. This place is a hidden gem. The steaks were tasty, and the sides were addictive. Nachos on point, and the taquitos had that Mexican authenticity with plenty guacamole. The cheesy mashed potatoes are better than they should be. Service was great. The waitress told us about the Sunday steak deal and happy hour of which we took advantage of. Side of skillet Mac and cheese, also incredibly bland and soup-like texture, also added salt which sort of helped. Besides the food being sadly underwhelming, our waitress got our drinks, then stopped by once after that (before our meal came). Not once did we see her during the meal and had to ASK for her after we were finished to get our check. We started out to go to Toros, only to find the bar about to close and no food. They're in the process of revamping the name, menu, and focus. So here we are, in the boonies, too late to do more driving, and John Cutter was the default option. We had gone there once, long ago, had some sort of major issue, and walked out before ordering. I remembered that they seemed very expensive.This time we looked at the menu before we went in; apparently all the other restaurants have kept pace and even surpassed them, because the prices were average. Our server, Vanessa, had a great personality and checked on us frequently. My Riesling, Monchof by brand, was delicious. We both ordered salads - Cobb for my husband, Chinese Chicken for me. While he liked his a lot, I wasn't as sanguine. I've had this salad many times at multiple restaurants. Here the chicken was good - well-seasoned and plentiful. I liked that I was able to sub romaine for the Asian greens and get the dressing and noodles on the side. The dressing was typical and decent. But the rest of it wasn't so delightful. First, the peanuts: I love peanuts, and was glad that they weren't salted. But I think they were raw, and they didn't taste right. Not rancid, just unpleasant. The tomatoes and sparse green peppers were diced so tiny that I couldn't even spear them, and they kept falling off the fork. The worst part was the Chinese noodles. When I was a kid, my mom used to buy Mee Tu Chinese noodles. They were kosher, as we were, which meant we never, ever had real Chinese food. (The story of my "conversion" is a funny one!). They were sold in a can and simply awful - though I didn't think so then, because I didn't know any better. The ones at John Cutter were so reminiscent of Mee Tu, and only slightly fatter and not as crispy. I would have hated to have to pick them out of the salad. I've been coming to Cutter and the sister restaurant Al's Garage for the last couple years. The food and the service are always good and all the employees are very friendly. Tonight was not off to a good start as we got take out and for the third consecutive time, our order was wrong when we got home. The first 2 times I didn't even call in because it was minor inconvenience and I don't complain unless it's absolutely necessary. Well tonight it was necessary. When I called in, they told me they'd remake the order if I wanted to come back. I said I wasn't really feeling it and asked for a refund or a gift card as I didn't want to drive back there. The girl asked if I would hold and when she got back on the phone she told me the manager Chris would deliver the order to my house. I reluctantly agreed even though I had already eaten something else and I figured this was far more effort and hassle for the restaurant than refunding me. When Chris showed up at my door he could not have been any nicer. I was blown away when he brought my new order AND a gift card for the value of the meal. His upbeat can do attitude was a breath of fresh air in today's society where most people don't know their ass from their elbow. This was the best customer service experience I've had in years. I've been an employee, a manager of a retail outlet as well as a restaurant, a business owner and an outside salesman over the last 20+ years so it takes a TON to impress me to such an extent. Chris went so far above and beyond tonight that the owner of Cutter should be proud to have him as a manager there. He turned a bad experience into a great one. My put it in her skillet mashed potatoes, and that warmed it right up. She did have to ask for a refill on her drink, even though our server did continue to check on us. I came here specifically for the $6 burger on Tuesdays. It was a random last-minute visit, and, I'd say that you are getting your bang for the buck because the burger is enormous. So enormous, that you can finish about half of it and be stuffed. I personally wasn't too fond of the burger at all even though it was a good price. However, I have been thinking about their Philly cheesesteak fries, and had cravings for it days after my visit. It was sooooooooo good. I was pleasantly surprised at the tender/juicy/fatty quality of the steak that is chopped up on top. The cheese sauce is the nacho cheese type that's melted (which I normally can't stand), but it worked well with this dish, and I really thought it was legit. Unfortunately, that was regular price. They have good specials on steaks! The first time I went here was on a Saturday, and their Saturday special was surf and turf for $19! The quality of the steak was great too. Tender and juicy. Lobster was good too. Today I came for the Sunday special, which is half off all steaks. I got the petite filet with a side of vegetables. Tender, flavorful (with a hint of spicy), and satisfying. The petite filet is only a 6 ounce, but it filled me up. The wet burrito is also good too. It includes rice, beans, pico, and chicken on the inside, and smoothered in spicy green chile verde sauce on the outside. They have patio seating! The inside is dark, has terrazzo flooring, wooden beams, and a section of the walls is made of stone. Kind of makes you feel like you're not in Vegas. I didn't really care for their coffee, but I'm a coffee snob. Their bathrooms are clean. The music is loud in the bathroom, but that's okay. Go here for the week-end steak specials! read more
