We ended up here right in the middle of the busiest part of the day, and with the FIFA game on the place was absolutely packed and incredibly loud. Even with all that, we were seated surprisingly fast. Brooke was our waitress for the night. The staff were crazy busy but all over the place constantly asking how the food was or if we needed anything. The kitchen was on point too. Our food came out quickly, and despite the servers being completely slammed, they stayed attentive and checked on us throughout the meal. The real surprise was finding out Sundays are half-price steak day. We both ordered their biggest steak and paid about what you'd expect for a casual burger meal elsewhere. That's honestly hard to beat. The inside is a little dark, but who really cares when you're getting a $24 steak like that? Great value, great service, and we'll definitely be back. As always, happy hunting.
The cool thing about this place is that it's open 24hours so you never have to go hungry despite the time of day. And they have a lot of options on their menu! We stopped by quite late at night - maybe 3 or 4am and picked up some grub to go. There were people inside and at the bar and the bartender who helped us was a nice guy. We got the half rack of ribs and the Philly fries without the cheese. The ribs were super tender, they fell off the bone, but they were a little fatty tasting. The fries were pretty good but quite salty. Both meals made us feel pretty gross afterwards, probably because of the fatty and sodium content. I'd say the food here definitely tastes better than typical late-night food but it's nothing that will blow your socks off.
1/2 Late-Night Steak Perfection in Vegas After a brutal 16-hour workday, we were starving and craving steak around 2am--and John Cutter absolutely delivered. We called ahead and were happy to hear they're open 24/7, which already earns major points in this city. We started with a Dirty Shirley and hot tea with honey, then dove into the food. I ordered the famous Philly cheesesteak, and wow--it was legit. Huge portion, packed with flavor, and the cheese was about as close to Philly as you can get outside of Pennsylvania. Next up was an 8oz filet with eggs (classic steak and eggs mood), and it was cooked perfectly with great flavor. We also ordered a burger with steak fries--excellent meat-to-bun ratio, juicy, flavorful, and extremely satisfying. Even though this place is known to be super busy during the summer and weekdays, hitting it at 2am was exactly what we needed. Honestly, thank God for Vegas--where else can you get a great steak in the middle of the night? Must-visit spot. 4.5 stars 1/2 thefoodie.99
Haven't been here in a long time now I remember why. Disappointed in a few things, I always feel service is not up to par, the employees just aren't engaging enough more, robotic than anything . They don't bother to come back within 1 to 2 minutes at least to check and see how your food was as we issues with our order! Mediterranean wrap I should've asked for not to be grilled just doesn't taste right when it's grilled. It was all right otherwise! The 10 ounce burger was good, Just the bun was a little soft Everything kept falling out of it, but it was a good burger. The steak and lobster is a 8 ounce sirloin You can upgrade that if you'd like the lobster was a nice portion season nicely, however asked for a medium well steak came out more red inside than expected! Server never asked us about refills on drinks, had to flag her down when we had our issues with the food! Even though we live in the area unfortunately I don't think we'll return. We paid a fair amount of money for that food didn't feel it was really worth it.
I don't know why we don't eat here more than we do. We always have a great meal with good, friendly service. We also love the local neighborhood vibe. My husband really enjoyed his steak and lobster. They cooked his steak to a perfect medium and he said the lobster was buttery and delicious. He doesn't eat lobster often, so it was even better that he enjoyed it. I tried the Chicken Club and liked it a lot. I usually don't eat sandwiches for dinner and usually not club sandwiches at all because they fall apart on me. Glad I took a chance. The sandwich was really good and I was able to eat it without having to resort to using my knife and fork. My husband had a few bites too and liked it too. We'll be back a lot sooner next time.
We came for the Thursday $18 Half Rack Ribs special. Unfortunately, it was not worth it. My wife had the Chicken Sandwich which was also not good. The chicken breast was poor quality and dry. It's obvious its a precooked/processed piece of chicken that they just simply heat up. My salad was old and soggy. Because it's Halloween season, I guess they figured tons of super-giant spiders on the wall would be appealing while eating. Friendly service, however both our cloth napkins were dirty when we arrived. We were contemplating on trying their Saturday steak special, but now we feel this place is only good for cocktails and drinks.
Our neighborhood favorite best service in Summerlin! We love everyone there!! Addie is our girl as we are always on her timeline and how lucky are we!! Treats us like family and we think of her like family! It's like our own cheers highly recommend! Everything is good too
I did a to go order of the Mediterranean chicken wrap a jc side salad and a side of guacamole. The tzatziki was bland. I think it was missing dill maybe. The guac was amazing. I should have got a chicken wrap with guacamole if that was an option. The wrap was actually too much food for me so I saved the salad for later.
Visited John Cutter on Wednesday for their dinner special of steak and lobster. We arrived at 5:30 and were lucky to obtain the last booth. All of the remaining tables were high top. Service was prompt by our server Brooke. My wife and I each ordered the special and upgraded to Filet Mignon Steak. The steak and lobster were 6 oz. each. Our side dish was the Cheesy Mashed Potatoes. I was skeptical of the food because of the very reasonable price steak and lobster $25 or upgrade to any streak cut for a total of $45. The food arrived in a short time and it was perfectly cooked. The lobster was tender and served with melted butter. The steaks were cooked medium rare and well done exactly as ordered and both were tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes were smooth and tasty. Brooke checked on us several times during dinner. The upgrade to the Filet Mignon was a great choice. We also signed up for the loyalty club and received a $40 discount on our bill. John Cutter has specials on other nights and we put them on our return list.
We tried the Steak & Lobster special last Saturday (only available on Wednesdays and Saturdays), and it was pretty good overall. My two daughters (ages 9 and 12) each ordered one as well, and they really enjoyed the lobster. The steaks were just okay, not premium quality, but honestly, for the price, there's not much to complain about. The only downside was the wait. We arrived around 5:15 pm but didn't get seated until about 5:35 pm, which was a bit longer than expected. Also, it's pretty far from the strip. I mean... far. Tip: If you prefer better-quality meat, you can upgrade the steak for an additional charge.
My husband and I finally had time for a date night after a long, hard week. We were in the area and my sister had recommended this restaurant several times, so we gave it a try. It's a small, quaint bar/tavern. We were greeted pleasantly and seated right away. We sat at a booth that had a very pretty chandelier hanging above us, TVs had the baseball game on...so far so good! Our waitress greeted us and asked if it was our first time there, we said yes, and she explained their specials , including a steak and lobster dinner for $25! We ordered two beers (they have an extensive selection, but they're only bottles, no draft) and we also ordered two appetizers...the potato wedges and the "2 soft pretzels". For our entree, we went with 2 of their specials, and asked for the steaks to be cooked medium well/well..just so there isn't any pink inside. Beers came out. Then the pretzels...when the server set the plate down, I felt embarrassed that my husband ordered them. They were the frozen "super pretzels" that you get at little league snack shacks. They basically microwaved them according to directions, slathered with butter and salt, and served them for $13! On their website they show a plate with 2 golden and crispy pretzels, not tan and rubbery. My husband was starving, so he let it go, and ate some until our entrees came out. The plate looked good! Decent sized steak that looked well seasoned and a small lobster tail. I gave the lobster tail to my husband as I don't like seafood, and cut into my steak. It seemed as if it was cooked to the right temperature, so I go to put the first bite in my mouth, and I smelled something odd. I thought perhaps it was the chilli oil they put on top, so I took the bite. It had no type of seasoning flavor, just a strange almost gamey taste. I put some salt on it and tried to take a few more bites, but I could tell that this was an old piece of meat that was spoiling. It had a sour smell and taste. Meanwhile, my husband cuts into his and it's way undercooked, and he asked the waitress for it to be cooked longer. I asked my husband if his steak had the same smell and he said no, it was just mine. When the waitress returned again with my husbands steak, I politely told her something was really off, maybe if she just wanted to smell it she would see instantly what I was talking about. I explained I wasn't boujee when it comes to steak, it doesn't need to be anything fancy, just not have spoiled. She said she would ask the manager what he could do. I'm grossed out at this point, embarrassed, and disappointed we couldn't have a simple dinner together. The waitress came back and told me the manager would take care of my steak but charge me for the lobster tail, since I gave it to my husband. I said ok reluctantly, thinking really? I didn't eat any dinner! When we got the bill, I was charged $16 for my dinner(the lobster tail). So essentially the manager took $9 dollars off of our bill for my spoiled steak dinner getting sent back. My husband did not eat his steak either. He was grossed out and even with them cooking it longer, it was still raw inside. To top it off, plastered all over the restaurant is a loyalty club you can join and "get $40 off of your bill TODAY" I went through all of the sign up steps, showed the waitress after receiving our check and she said I could only get $20 off, not the $40 that I was literally holding in my hands. That doesn't seem like loyalty to me...it was very misleading and gives you the taken advantage of feeling. The manager didn't come over to apologize for my dinner being foul, or hey sorry this was your first experience I hope we can make it right in the future, nothing. It's unfortunate and like I always say...word of mouth in this town can make you or break you. You have to treat everyone the way you would want your family to be treated, and you'll have so much success! As someone who was born and raised here in beautiful Las Vegas, it pains me to have to give a local business a bad review...but at the same time, these local businesses should have more pride and be held to the standards Las Vegas' dining scene is held to.
The vibe and atmosphere here at John Cutter is relaxing and social. The music also has a low laid back island, reggae-ish sound. The bar area is nice and the alcohol selection is pretty large. I brought my friends here from Houston and honestly, I am waiting to see how good the food is once it gets to our table. Its actually my first time here but Ive eaten at Als garage right next door and it was so delicious!! This spot should be just the same. Standby for an update... Okay, so, the update.... The salmon and asparagus was delicious. The caesar salad was just ok. Hannah, our server, was the best. She has a good vibe, she was also laid back and helpful with all of our orders and she was very professional and polite. Thanks to Hannah for serving us today! The restrooms are nice and clean which is always great.
Just recently returned to this restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance is still great. Their Grilled Salmon Salad was Delicious!!!

Soo upset... my boyfriend and I love this restaurant. We've ordered the Philly cheesesteak multiple times to-go without problems. Order it again today and the cheese looks like it was microwaved in the styrofoam cup... The cup was falling apart as I pulled it out of the bag. read more

I have a friend who had been talking of the 1/2 off steaks on Sunday for awhile now. I had a rateSunday off so we decided to give it a shot. 3 of us arrived about 6pm and the place was packed. We had a short wait and were seated at a high top table near the door. No booths available unless we wanted to wait longer, so we took the table. Only issue was that it was cold so it wasn't too pleasant sitting that close to the door. Our server came by almost right away for our drink orders, which came out quickly. We ordered the queso dip to share and we each ordered a 10oz filet and salads. The queso dip was good. And they refilled the chips as many times as we requested until the dip was gone. That was nice, some places want to charge extra for that. Two of us got the house salad while one got the Caesar. I got the house salad with ranch on the side, and it was delicious. I tried the caesar too which was also good. The croutons on that were homemade and fresh. Salads were a good size too. Our filets came out shortly after we finished out salads. They were seasoned well and great cuts of meat for the price. Gotta admit that they weren't quite done as we ordered though, with all being slightly over or under, not enough to make a big deal over it, plus, the taste and quality of the meat made up for that. We decided to share the chocolate cake for desert. Wow, it was huge! Very rich though. It reminded me of the Pepperidge farms chocolate fudge cake you can get at the grocery store, but a fresher version. Overall the meal was great. I'd definitely come back for the steak special. We've been to fancier places that served filet that wasn't as good as this, at twice the price. And even though they were crowded, the service was great. We didn't have to ask for refills and plates were taken away promptly. We left full and happy, can't ask for more than that! read more

Fist time visiting this steakhouse, worst Sperience ever . I order the rib eye steak and my friend the new York steak both medium. My steak was medium rare and my friends almost well done. We never saw are waitresses she did not come back to the table to ask about the food or to see if we need it drink. We order 2 side dishes FF and bake potato that we did not got into we were almost about to finish with the steaks. "Not good" FF were saggy and the bake potato dry like if they left it under the heat lamp. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more
John Cutter is a fun little restaurant! It is totally A-Ok in my book. Here's why I think it is ok: 1. Decent size menu with a lot of interesting options. Lots of your traditional stuff with little twists to make them a bit different from the rest. We went during breakfast, so I will focus on that for now. A couple of examples of fun food would be the breakfast quesadilla, crunchy french toast, and a breakfast Philly cheese steak. I looked over the lunch/dinner menu and it has a lot of things that looked tasty as well. It isn't a huge menu, but ok overall. 2. The flavor of the food. I had the breakfast quesadilla with steak and I was quite pleased. You get a huge serving because they use the biggest tortillas ever and layer them instead of folding them in half. The quesadilla was stuffed full of eggs and cheese with an ok share of steak sprinkled throughout. It could have used a bit more steak, especially for the $5 surcharge to add it, but overall it was pretty good. The tortillas were crispy and held together nicely, even being stuffed. My hubby got the crunchy french toast. It was a fun twist on your average french toast. It didn't blow my socks off, but it was average. My hubby really enjoyed it though, for whatever that matters. 3. The prices. The prices all seemed to be a $1 or 2 too high on the breakfast menu. The food was ok and with good sized servings, but it seemed a bit high, especially on the kids menu. The kid's breakfast is $7 and the lunch/dinner kids menu is $10. I guess they are going for a more upscale place with the prices, but they just didn't seem to fit. 4. The interior is pretty, especially right now with the Christmas decoration up. There were big wreaths along the wall, huge snowflakes everywhere, and even some mistletoe! It had a rustic cantina look mixed with a bit of modern leather accents. It really was nicely decorated. 5. The service is on the mediocre side. Everyone we talked too was super friendly and polite. The problem is they were also absent most of the time and a bit on the ditzy side. My hubby had a cup of coffee that was never refilled or even offered to get a refill, and the same went for my glass of water. We were checked on about half way through our meal and when the check arrived, but that was it. I don't think we are demanding, but a refill every now and then is more than reasonable in my book. So over all, John Cutter has some good things going for it, but it has some misses as well. The food is tasty, but a bit pricey. The interior is lovely, but the service level is hit or miss. When you average everything out, I think 3 stars is a good average. read more

John Cutters is my go to place for steaks especially on Sundays. (psst they are half off!) The steaks here are so good that I don't need any steak sauce . I've been to steak houses on the strip, and Summerlin but I prefer John Cutters. The steak is so juicy! My husband who likes his well done said even his was tender and juicy even though his was cooked well. I like getting the fully loaded potato with my meal. The potato is huge enough to share but there have been days where we want two sides . We flock to the Mac and cheese as our second choice. The food is wonderful so it can get pretty crowded on a Sunday evening. Especially since the space isn't that big. If you want steak they serve it throughout the day so I would try to head there for an early lunch! read more

I came here for a little snack to hold me over until a late dinner. It was a beautiful day outside, and John Cutter allows you to enjoy it with their patio seating. Yes, you'll be staring at a parking lot and a Wells Fargo in the distance...but still. You're outdoors! We ordered three dishes: Dynamite Rolls, Tuna Chips, and Chips and Cheese dip. We also got a few beers; $4.50 for bottle of Blue Moon. Yes, however the hostess staff is terrible and rude. Our waitress was awesome.
Is the gambling area separated from the dining area? Is smoking allowed inside the restaurant?
They have the typical video poker games at the bar area but no smoking allowed.
With this pandemic going on and customers like myself not feeling comfortable eating out, why doesn't your restaurant offer take out on the specials? I feel this is a time when you should allow your specials to be available to go?
