Megan was such an incredible service and it was the perfect dinner in midtown and not too crowded!

Great Irish spot, would definitely go again. The barman who goes by the gaelic name, Lookelly, wore a green shirt which accentuated the Irish theme and seemed to harness his inner leprauchaun as he danced from one customer to the next with a twinkle in his eye that would make hearts melt. (Disclaimer: A considerable amount of alcohol was consumed on the night so recollections of the barman's attractiveness may be slightly skewed.) The pints were pulled with serious precision and even my H2O was served just the way I like it - on the rocks, with just the right amount of H and just enough O. Lost one star because it didn't have Daniel O'Donnell's album in the jukebox but to be fair I didn't look that hard. read more

The bar was clean and the waitstaff was EXCELLENT and the food was good. No complaints there. However, the owner walked up and down the bar with his hands behind his back like a drill sergeant and would snap his fingers at the staff. He was not welcoming in the least not even a smile or hello. Additionally, on arrival we requested the Notre Dame on one the many TVs - request granted. Then when another bartender took over, the game was changed and we were told "its on the TV on the end" "they are on a break" The end TV had been airing another game since we arrived. The bartender was rude and not willing to accommodate request. What Irish bar is not willing to show Notre Dame game. I will not return to this establishment. FOR TRUE IRISH experience.. with GREAT food and service I would recommended the Playwright Celtic Bar on 8th Avenue between 25-26th Streets. read more

They got us right in for a reservation, made sure we had TVs available next to us and were extremely accommodating. To top it off, everyone is so nice! We wanted to get lunch before checking out Hudson Yards without contending with a crowd of tourists. This was a very pleasant spot for lunch at the bar with multiple sports on TV including Wexford vs Kildare in hurling (an Irish sport similar to lacrosse). I've been here four times now and I have no complaints about the food. They have great drink and lunch specials! What I will complain about is one of their servers - a short, blonde woman. The last 3 times I've came in, she had an attitude and was dismissive from jump. Literally have witnessed her pass up getting me a refill to fill her own drink ( oh, she also eats her entire lunch before checking on you) so yeah, I usually don't complain but she has really turned me off from coming back. Maybe ask for a different waiter if you encounter her. read more

Ate an early dinner here on 6/22/2015 and loved it. The food was very good and the service was also top notch (Aisling was a sweetheart). My wife had salmon and it was a cooked to perfection, I had the Shepherds' Pie (for you purists it was really Cottage Pie) and it too was wonderful. Both dishes were delivered piping hot. We asked to be seated in a quiet section and they accommodated us without issue. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I love this place I am always here , I work across the street. The only thing is that I don't see my favorite bar tender anymore James. He is the reason me and my coworkers come here all the time. He gives prompt service, top notch customer service. He even talks to us about how our day is going, we can vent to him. James must have another job, because I don't see him as much. Where is he? Hopefully we can see him more in the future . I really like coming here the more consistent the better, look forward to seeing my favorite bartender on a regular basis . They say first impressions are lasting impressions. I came in for a pint or two the place looks good, Guinness was very nice, But this was no Irish pub. Yes they had the flags and the old pictures, But that's pretty much where it ends. There was no Irish music being played. That would be fine but this is an Irish pub. The two bar staff we're both from Ireland, I seem to of lost the Irish charm. I have been in a lot of Irish pubs both here and in Ireland, and I know the real deal when I see it. This is only one visit I am referring to, but hopefully I caught them on a bad day. read more

Its a pretty good place, all the food is pretty good for bar food and during the week they have a lunch special for 10 dollars. The upstairs area is pretty quiet and the place doesn't usually get too packed. read more

Horrible dinner service - Asked waitress for waters (brought one for the table), food came (from a busboy) and after waiting 10 minutes for our waitress to come around (had to flag her down) I told her my Cobb salad was missing bacon (listed on the menu as having bacon as all Cobb salads do) and she looked at me blankly. Decided to get our check and bounce. There are a ton of other Irish joints within a mile that I'll be happy to give business to. Won't be back to this one. While watching the Ravens and Eagle game last night John Sullivan's. I notice an older gentleman walk into the bar. Some gay man with a goofy mustache yelled "G-G-G-G-GARY BISCAINE." I noticed the old man had very shaky legs. He yelled to the bartender, "Daddy needs a Jameson". The bartender appeared to be annoyed by the presence of this man coming in. The bartender mumbled something along the lines of, "this shaky drunk fuck needs rehab. At the end of the game, the old man, which apparently made a big wager on the Eagles, yelled, "THE JEWS HAVE RUINED THE NFL!" And the went on to say, "That "N-Word" couldn't catch a cold it he was standing naked during a blizzard in Harlem." The old man took his shot and stumbled out the door. read more
