My husband and I were looking for a local sandwich shop and heard great things about Johnny Longhots. Boy were the reviews right! We were blown away by how well made the sandwiches are, how much food they give you and the taste is BEYOND AMAZING!! I also want to note the customer service is exceptional which is sometimes hard to find in this area. We ordered "The Paulie" with chicken which includes vodka sauce, sautéed spinach and sharp provolone. When I say it was tasty, that is an understatement! I was blown away by how good it was! My husband had the "Meatball Parmigiana" which had meatballs, marinara sauce and mozzarella on one of the "best rolls" he's ever had! Both sandwiches were hot, loaded with food and again, taste AMAZING!! The food was so good we are going back again tonight! This is a gem so check it out!! read more

Recently, I ordered a spread for lunch, to include the Pork Diablo and an order of the South Philly Longhots, and cajun fries. I was very pleasantly surprised! The Pork Diablo is billed as a spicy sandwich, and it lives up to it's name! Often, so called spicy sandwiches at other places play it too safe and keep it very tame. Everything was very good! I've been here a couple of times and will definitely eat here again. On Tuesdays, they have a free fries with a cheese steak special. They're crinkle cut, which is perfect for cheese fries! Steaks are good. Chopped style, but not chopped to death. Good amount of meat. Have the expected pickle and pepper bar. The pickles nice and tart (not that bread n butter bs), sliced to the right thickness. One thing that many local businesses suck at is hospitality. Staff is great here. No attitude. Friendly. I mention this because I have to drive past where I used to get my steaks from to get here. They too made great steaks, but had crap customer service. read more

This place needs LOTS of help!!!!! Not only is the food quality horrid the service was even worse. First I walked into the building and wasn't even greeted by the man at the counter even though there was no customers at the register just those waiting for their food. Then when the man had finally decided to stop talking to one of the customers he made me feel like I was a burden for even walking into the establishment. I then politely asked for a suggestion considering I never been there before when he suggested a cheesesteak with Cooper sharp cheese and fried onions on a seeded roll which is "the classic Philly way" (although I overheard you telling a customer you're from Trenton but ok...) and I added mushrooms and green peppers, it then came out to almost $17!!!!!!!! That is insane, why are you trying to scam your customers by recommending the highest priced items to get on a cheesesteak? I decided I would just deal with it and purchase the cheesesteak anyway hoping the quality would be worth it but boy was I wrong!!!!! Not only did it taste bland there was barely any meat or cheese on it (you would think there would be more cheese considering its an extra two dollars). When I asked about sizing he said it comes on a 12 inch roll. It was maybe 10 but that's still being generous. Overall, this is the worst experience I've ever had at a food place. Don't let the other reviews fool you he practically begs his customers to write good reviews. Very shady management don't waste your time or money!!!! If I could rate a 0 stars I would.
