We heard that this place was supposed to be better than 5 guys. I should have checked the reviews! Had the mushroom burger. It was ok. No veggies on the side or anything. No fries. Fries are extra. We ordered the loaded tater tots. Came with the cheese from the can over them and it was cold. Waitress was pushing the 11,000 and over calories milkshakes. No flavored teas. Very small area for dining. Disappointed with the service. Some the crew started talking loudly as the stood near the cash register and was distracting, obviously some drama going on. If you haven't tried the McDonald's Pico Guacamole beef or chicken on Artisan bread burger, it's much bigger and better! read more

I always go to the Johnny Rockets place at Ballys Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas because of the good food. When I recently discovered that there was a Johnny Rockets in Kapolei, I just had to go check it out. I went there on a recent Friday evening. The food was still very good, but the place was super, super noisy--much unlike the Ballys location, which was quiet and pleasant. For the Kapolei location, I give 4 stars for the good food and 1 star for the annoying atmosphere. I don't think I will return because of the noise. read more

This place is perfect! Like a mini Dave and Busters!! Fast service food came even faster! On top of that they are allergy friendly for my son with his peanut and gluten allergies. As for the price compared to Genki it's a little cheaper and just the same fed. Not to mention we have the option to play games etc... great location and ambiance! Will come back again hopefully service stays consistent!! read more

My mom told me this place had finally opened so I decided to check it out with my boyfriend. As another yelper on here had mentioned, we too had to wait 10 minutes to have our order taken. We were just awkwardly seated waiting for one of the servers to take our order. Didn't even get any water yet. They seemed to be having some staff meeting at the time. Talking stories, laughing, happily passing us by, mind you now, we were seated pretty much right next to where they walked in and out of the kitchen. The manager literally had to call one of the servers over herself just for someone to serve us. When she got to our table we ordered our food, ordered our water and had to wait another 10 minutes for the food. We ordered the bacon cheddar, and the spicy houston. It was very yummy. Which is the reason I gave this place two stars instead of one. Also because I really appreciated the happy face ketchup plate, made me wish I ordered fries. I was very hesitant to order the milkshake I'd been wanting because honestly, I didn't think anyone was going to come back to check on us. Eventually someone came around and I ordered it. I'd say it took about 20 minutes to come out. It was so awkward because our table had already been cleared and the staff just kept staring at us as if to make us as uncomfortable as possible so we'd leave. But we were still waiting for that friggen milkshake. Heard the manager having to ask the other workers who was waiting on our table because literally all we had left were our cups of ice from our waters, which we didn't want refills on because all I wanted was my milkshake and to be on my way. When it finally came it was also delicious, the only problem was that there were big chunks of Oreo on the bottom that made it impossible to drink with the straw so it's a good thing they gave us spoons. I would return to Johnny rockets for the food, but I think I'd rather not dine in next time. read more

The service is so poor that I couldn't even get an order in. I was making a to go order & was instructed to go to the counter. After standing at the counter waiting to order, two separate waiters did something at the register, yet didn't even ask me if I'd been helped. Now if only I could give a review and no stars let me tell you what an experience I had! I went today and I believe there was one group waiting on their meal and maybe a few others enjoying the games. This was my first time here and it looked like a fun new place I could take the kids. Anyways, I went alone with my 2 kids and my niece they had just opened at 10 and I arrived about 10:15 I walked it and was completely clueless to what I was suppose to do, I see a podium but no one there for service so I'm continuing to look around and waited to see if some one would at least greet me. I look over to the service counter and what do I see 3 female workers cheering each other with a shot it looked as if it was shot to start their day but come on why would you do that when there are customers or when there are kids around. There is a mini bar in which I don't mind but you're suppose to be working! so one of them finally see me comes up to me with a guilty look on her face and ask for how much I tell her for 4 so she just takes us to a table walks away then come back with menus, she did go over the menu and walked away. Me and the kids figured out what to order and we kept looking around when she would come back to take our order she was approaching our table with her book in her hand to take our order and there was another couple that just walked through the door at the same time so she by passes us and goes straight to the podium to go and seat that couple. I am beyond irritated at this point she comes back to take our order and what place doesn't have juice for the kids? No juice what so ever so I had no choice but to waste money on shakes that they didn't end up drinking and we all shared one cup of water because she failed to serve all of us water that I also asked for. No refill nothing. The food finally came out and my burger was called a Route 66 and I thought I could choose my own protein I didn't even have an option my burger was super greasy, falling apart while the kids burgers were super dry, all of our fries were stale and cold and for the restaurant to be just opening wouldn't the fries be fresh and hot. Their food was horrible! The kids didn't even eat half their food and I wasted mines also. Overall at least my kids could enjoy the arcade room area. But I won't ever take them there again. read more

I have no idea on what planet Johnny Rockets is doing partnering with EK Fernandez and their Not so Fun Factory. This concept is just a bad idea. When i walked in the first thing i noticed is how empty it is...it looks like they need to hit up Pier One. Now I think I kind of get the point of it...can you get enough money out of games to justify the floor space of a proper restaurant? They better hope so. Is it a place for moms and dads to catch a pint while kids are in a safe environment?...sure...is your drunk a$$ gonna finally lose to your kid in air hockey? Let's hope not. In fact...don't let it happen. However, there are a bunch of tvs, but in the most weirdest locations ever...as far as food goes...i ordered a veggie burger which is the same blackbean one they use at chili's...pretty terrible...in all honesty it's been open a couple days and feels like it's been outdated for years. Since I don't have kids...i probably won't be coming back...but for all you parents with kids...welcome to your poor man's D and B. read more

My husband, kids and I decided to try this place tonight. Never again. Kids had fun playing the games, but games were costly and money went quickly. While they were playing, I decided to ask for a table. One side of the place has tables that are very crowded next to each other. The other side has large, comfortable booths with tvs. I asked for one of the booths. Then began a fairly long conversation between the hostess and who I think was a waitress. "Well, if she wants that, she can wait another 30 minutes.....does she want to sit outside..." "She" was me. And I was standing right in front of them listening to them. Not only were they extraordinarily rude, it sounded like they were making up ways to punish me for even asking. No thanks and never again. Staff is openly rude and sarcastic. As we were leaving we noticed another person upset about customer service. The staff here really needs to retrain on customer service or find other jobs. read more

Brought my family in for dinner tonight at 6:30pm. Was seated and given menus. Placed our order, at which time we were informed that there was no sourdough bread on the weekends. So I would get my chicken club sandwich on brioche bread. Ok not a problem. Our server leaves and then returns to say I will have to pick something else because they won't make that sandwich since they don't have the sourdough. She leaves again and returns to drop off menu. She didn't stay long enough to let me tell her my order and she was gone again. After a few minutes she hadn't returned, so that is when my family of 5 decided to leave. As we left my husband let her know we were leaving. She just asked if he wanted to talk to the manager. He was already annoyed with the poor service and the lack of effort to provide menu items. Which are on the menu and available to order but when ordered you are told can't have it as stated because we don't have that bread on weekends. So you take the order anyway, tell the customer it'll be served on on different bread. Which is ok with customer. Only to return and say no we can't make because that is NOT how it supposed to be made. Then why bother taking that order for that item. Get a new menu for the weekends if you can't serve that item. We didn't mind the substitution that was offered. Poor service is what drove us to leave. This place is not cheap for burgers, fries and shakes. read more

Never going back!!! (At least in the restaurant, glad the arcade is separate.) My son and I came in and got seated right away, so I thought that was good. Then we were waiting for a waitress to come and take our orders, but nobody came. No problem, maybe they were busy. After 10 minutes, another couple got seated and right away a server came to greet them and took their order... F@k! I was like we were there for about 10 mins, and we did get someone. So I got up, went to the counter and asked if that's where gonna order politely since celebrate it was our first time and no sure how to order This fat lady said, "no and am coming over right now" defensively... ooohhh, fueled my anger! First of all, am there to be served. Am not there to beg food. Secondly, we were sitting there for 5 mins, and you didn't bother coming to us, we deserve a decent apologies!!! My son ordered but told him I don't want to eat there anymore. I cancelled the order and left! I hope they don't last, there food is way expensive and blah, serve sucks as hell, and the place is too crowded. They should just have fun factory take over the space they are wasting. read more
